As expected, SSJ Goku stands little chance against Beerus. Goku's SSJ3 form looks awesome imo. However, it doesn't look like that was even enough. The OST used for the fight feels godly.  Oh poor Goku. |

| The extended the fight which is a good thing and I must say that the way Beerus took down SSJ3 Goku in this was way more satisfying lol Goku fought him in each form but I died seeing how all it took was a flick to the forehead followed by a light pat on the shoulder xDDD Sucks to be Goku right now lol Art and animation was disappointing though, it wasn't bad but it should have been a lot better but thank god there was no black outlines around the characters Next week is when Beerus arrives at the party and it looks funny going by the PV but they BETTER had kept the Bingo Dance/Song DrizzyXP said: All I know is that they bring out dat real budget for SSJG vs BeerusNah legit, Toei can fuck off a thousand times over. | Seriouslly, WTH is wrong with toei? Dragon ball is such a famous franchise and they are using pathetic animation for this. For godsake this is 2015 and moreover this was suppose to be the first fight in this series. You expect some good animation and god, that Jazz OST in the background during fight was just plain terrible. |

| Horrible! Terrible!! Dreadful!!! The animator who's responsible for the first half of this episode need to stop drawing. Horrible drawing aside, am I the only one that felt like I was watching something very... un-Dragon Ball like? The way they fight is more like Street Fighter as opposed to DBZ for me. |

| i expected a sakuga animation for the fights but Toei did not deliever, this episode fights are like what they did with Saint Seiya Omega, and the preview for the next episode is bad as well honestly i do not mind if this fight was all 3DCG to speed up the process of animation produiction and can be made cheap too that way, just like what they did with the 3DCG battle scenes of Freeza vs Goku on the Resurrection of F movie |

As if butchering the movie by changing the plot in pathetic ways wasn't enough, now they air some bad animated fight with ridiculous art... this is worse than the triangle guy from DBZ! I'm only watching this because I really like Dragon Ball, but it is a very very very bad anime. It's like DBGT all over again. |
| Something like Dragon Ball really deserves better animation. It's a pain in the ass to see some of the art in this episode. Hopefully it get's better... |

| I can live with mediocre animation if at least the art is good. I can live with mediocre art if at least the animation is good. Unfortunately, DBS fails to deliver on both fronts. The art was truly terrible at moments. |

DrizzyXP said: you probably won't believe me but they actually did. the animation director of this episode was Naoki Tate who is without a doubt one of Toei's best animators and has done some really good stuff on One Piece and Toriko. however in this case he had do work with the worst schedule and animators possible. the result is an atrocious looking episode such as this. such a waste of talent...Can they not get a good animation team to handle a major fight scene? Is that so fucking hard? |
| The director was a good one, but the team in-charge of the key animation was undoubtedly bad. I hope they fix this in the blu-rays though I doubt it. |

| 5. Showdown on King Kai's Planet! Goku vs God of Destruction Beerus Original Airdate: August 9, 2015 Beerus and Whis have arrived at King Kai's planet to ask Goku about Super Saiyan God. When he tells them he's never heard of it they decide to go ask Vegeta on earth. Before they leave Goku asks Beerus if he can see his strength in a match, to which Beerus agrees, curious to see the power that could defeat Frieza. Goku uses his various stages of strength, but none work as he is easily taken care of by Beerus. As Beerus and Whis leave a defeated Goku for earth King Kai contacts Vegeta, who is now at the party. He warns him of the God of Destruction's imminent arrival. So this episode was pretty much all fighting, but it was entertaining enough. To be sure, the characters looked pretty off rather frequently, but eh, I kinda expected as much from the show going in. I did like the way they drew out the fight by having Goku fight with all of his Super Saiyan stages. That aside, not much else to say about this week really. Rating: 7/7 This Week in Buu: No appearances outside the recap. Did You Notice?: Unlike in Battle of Gods, Goku fights Beerus with all of his Super Saiyan levels. Next: Don't anger the God of Destruction! |

| This is actually decent animation for Toei. For people who thinks this is bad, you haven't seen enough of the bad Toei animation just yet... You can always go lower... Of course compared with any of the other animation company, you wonder where a large company such as Toei's budget went.... probably in their pocket instead of the animation. |
