Dat pitch~

Some alright plays and other sloppy ones imo this episode. Actually now that I think about it, the pitches are probably the highlight of the episode at that velocity.

yeesh, eijun being called a reliever must have hit hard.

>.< Sense I actually like eijun, seeing him not being able to pitch is really irritating me.

Unless he gets to play and does a decent job, then I think the new ace might be furuya considering how well he's doing. I'm just guessing here though.

Hahaha I enjoyed this episode. I like the emphasis on the rivalry between Furuya and Eijun. Now we have to see how Sawamura performs when he steps up to the mound! CAN'T WAIT!!

Furuya is probably the best candidate for ace? Something is dying within me :O Sawamura being called the reliever :(

Not so bat intimidating but still quite the enjoyable team.

Every time Haruichi makes a hit is awesome with him showing this inner instincts!

The time that matters most, Furuya is doing quite well to bring back his routine of strikes!

Am I the only one who is hating where this show is going? I don't hate Furuya, but his pitching is boring, he throws fast balls.. thats it. I don't particularly like Sawamura, but at least he has a variety of pitches that are more enjoyable to watch. Coach looks completely set on Furuya too calling Sawamura a relief pitcher and all.

Gaaaah poor Eijun Q.Q that part broke my heart. Aside from that this episode felt rather bland to me.

I don't hate furuya but yeaaaa idk its kinda boring to watch lol. At least with Eijun you get pumped and feel his pain at the sametime!

Looking forward to the next episode but at the sametime not really lol

I get exactly what ur saying. Furuya is reliable. But i feel Eijun's passion more.

DAMNIT GIVE EIJUN HIS CHANCE TO SHINE! DON'T MAKE HIM THE MAIN CHARACTER IF UR GONNA DO THIS TO HIM!!!!

Furuya is like a boring Goro...

And I would be pissed as hell with the coach after doing what he did aaargh.

Go, Sawamura!! Show them what you are capable of!!

Anyway, I really want to see what the new coach thinks of Sawamura when he starts to play as well.

I kinda want eijun to transfer schools and beat the shit out of seidou and be like WTF BITCHES I COULD HAVE STARTED THERE.

I mean its really kind of lame that Furuya is the starter and unless they were setting injury flags for this next episode I am really unhappy with whats going on in this show.

It's been over a year since read up to 300 (and haven't been reading since then), but

Ouch. Being called a relief pitcher. Such a blow on Eijun :I Though I guess he shouldn't have asked Kataoka to give him the next inning when they already established that Furuya would get more innings if he can keep it up. But Eijun wasn't wrong though, Furuya did start to get tired. And he wanted to pitch for all 9....pweesh.

Daaang Toujou too cool, don't underestimate him just because he's not going for pitcher right now. Also Haruichi. I rewatched Haruichi's awesome batting three times cuz it went by so quickly. Lol when Eijun told Kawakami that Haruichi is pretty dark aiming for the pitcher XD

He's completely the next Ace. I feel sorry for Sawamura, but It's the fact.

Furuya is a self polishing diamond that can be counted upon to deliver when a pinch while Sawamura is kinda like a rough diamond that requires meticulous polishing and cutting with the potential to outshine Furuya with enough luck and perseverance.

If I were the coach, I'd focus on Furuya as well and keep Sawamura as a relief and potential ace back-up. Kawakami is pretty much relief fodder for life.

Well... that was boring episode.... Its not like i hate furuya, but while he is pitching im bored as f***.... I want more Sawamura cause he is pitching maybe not as good as Furuya but he puts hearth in it and i can feel it. And when i saw ending whith Furuya with Ace number... Right now i hate this anime, i hate coach, i hate Furuya and i love Sawamura, i dont know what to do about this anime. Some time ago i was loving and but now, while its Furuya-center show i dont want to watch this...

I do not know if I would say that for me, but in the past it focused on Sawamura and how he would continuously improve each time he played. Then you would have those intense showdowns where he would become in the zone and play as an Ace.

The episodes recently are showing just how fast Furuya can pitch, how much everyone likes him, and how the team can't bat. Been like that for a few episodes now. Getting abit slow.

I always love watching Furuya play *o* He's improved a lot since the series began.

Overall this game is rather boring though, like Raichi's dad said. Maybe the pitcher change(s?) will make things more interesting.

Yeah it has been boring...i find that ever since the 3rd years retired i've been bored. Will this feeling every leave? The team right now...seems so weak. Like there's no hope they can go to nationals, not with all the key players gone.

Yeah, it's really weird to get rid of all the key characters/players in a series like that... Of course it allows for new characters, but the level of intensity and play is entirely different, very downgraded. I can only wonder what the mangaka was thinking... maybe we will get some energy into this series again, but the new team just seems so lacking. The new coach better be interesting. :(

Furuya doesn't interest me at all as a character, I find his personality to be bland... Sawamura's an idiot, but I can atleast watch him deal with the pressure, whether he fails or perseveres, and that keeps me interested. (Can't Furuya have a break down or something?? >__<) This match has been unremarkable so far, which is disappointing compared to their game against them last time. The "new guy", Tojo, seems to grabbing attention. When he dropped the bat to hit the ball was great!

Highlight of the episode for me was Harucchi's little part though, haha. And his eyes showing a bit before he smack the ball.

"He aimed for the pitcher. Harucchi's pretty dark on the inside."
"No I didn't!"

Hate to sound like a broken record and repeat what everyone in here is already saying but can everyone (in the anime) get off Furuya's dick already.... shieeeet. When the episode is centered around him this anime is so bland. His character is much more enjoyable in small doses. As for Tojo, he needs to develop some sort of personality. We already got a small timid soft spoken first year , but I can see him taking Maezono's spot on the batting line up if he keeps playing like that.

Maezono might be the Sakai of this team lol.

Of course the coach sees Furuya as the new ace because he seems to be solving all his issues and be more reliable. The ace obviously has to be the most reliable pitcher.
BUT what he said to Sawamura wasn't because his completely set on Furuya or that he thinks he shouldn't bother considering Sawamura for such position. Exactly the opposite. He said what he said to shaken Sawamura up because he believes Sawamura has the talent to be an ace but he is too busy being noisy and yelling around instead of focusing on how to become a pitcher the team can depend on like Furuya is currently doing.

This match is boring tbh. Furuya is so annoying. His pitch might be fast compared to Eijun but gdi he's really boring to watch. And ofc, we already knew who will be the new ace, the ending theme spoiled it for us. Eijun in the mound is entertaining to watch, although he still has so many to learn. I hope Eijun will steal the ace number from Furuya in the future.
