Who the hell wants Madhouse to adapt Toriko? That's just about the most asinine idea I've ever heard for a rework, the series wouldn't get 1/10th of the tv ratings it got if that were the case.

And madhouse is not the most financially stable animation studio out there. honestly if it werent for Hunter x Hunter they'd probably be in even deeper shit than they already are in.

On topic, I'd kill for a madhouse adapted one punch man, they are the only studio i feel would do the manga justice.

I am talking about the perspective of the viewer, not the studio. Obviously they want their shows to do well. Shiki sold like shit, but it was a great show, same for NHK.

From the perspective of the viewer, there is still a reason to care. With bad ratings, the anime might not be able to stay in the air, getting cancelled or be in hiatus. This wouldn't be the case if it's a normal 2 cour series, but Toriko is a long running anime, so that possibility exists. With bad ratings, there will also be a lakc of budget, which affects the production values.

I would want to see them adapt History's strongest disciple Kenichi, and to follow manga completely. They have so much material and it has a pretty good story. Although, that is not why I them to adapt it.

I thought the manga became episodic with little to no plot development, and basically became ecchi.

The quality is already as top notch as it will every be.

Madhouse would just never be capable in a million years of out-buying the licensing to Toriko over Toei.

And this is just my personal bias, but I don't care about Anime. More tv ratings means more awareness raised and Manga sales, Madhouse adaptations are hit/miss and sometimes flop in sales.

Nanatsu no Taizai by the HxH 2011 staff.
Another FKMT manga, Ten or Kurosawa especially.
Another Urasawa manga, Pluto or Billy Bat seem reasonable.
Vinland Saga (We can dream ;_;)
An Inoue manga, REAL or Vagabond would be amazing.

Yeah, the best Fukumoto work in my opinion.

Mahjong was OK, but I understand why people wouldn't like it, it took me some time to understand the rules of that game, and the payoff wasn't really worth it tbh.

They should just skip Kaiji part 3 and animate part 4!

I am not sure if I want Kaiji's third and fourth part to be adapted. The content is more stretched and imho the aniem ended ona perfect note.
If they do FKMT, they should do some of his other manga.

Vinland Saga

VS not having an anime is probably one of the great mysteries of the world.

Also, a proper adaptation of Blame! would be nice but alas, Madhouse almost became bankrupt(or maybe they already did before the buyout) for making such adaptions. I'd also like a Franken Fran adaption from them for some unknown reason.

I meant as in "getting the atmosphere and pacing right". It just strikes me as too tied to the medium manga. The sense of time in that series for example...

my personal bias still wishes for a 20th century boys anime, that series deserves justice given to it that 3 rushed films could not deliver.

of course pluto would be much cheaper due to its drastically smaller length. It could easily work as a 24 episode series. Its upcoming movie is gonna suck bigtime though.

Abara was shit yo. but I guess an anime adpatation would be nice, since there's already Sidonia airing and we'd get to see more of the Gauna

I agree that BLAME! should stay in manga format, tho. There are just things that can't be adapted.

Well, I'd say Dogs: Bullets and Carnage personally. It got a short OVA but there is plenty more manga to adapt.

First though, we need sequel seasons to Black Lagoon, BTOOOM!, Claymore, Deadman Wonderland, Highschool of the Dead, Rideback, and Tenjho Tenge, because they're not complete.

Great Teacher Onizuka reboot. Closer to the manga, no fillers, and uncensored, with references to Final Fantasy VII. The original anime also only covered half the manga, so a complete adaptation is needed too.
