Mm, interesting development with Arslan, the Queen, etc this episode.

Elam can be quite unpredictable at times although I think he was slightly surprised himself. I don't doubt his tracking abilities though. Glad to see Silvermask again this episode. I was hoping they might of expanded the fight a little between Elam/Silvermask but the action itself was pretty nice as well, especially coming from Elam. Nice episode.

Glad to see the captured the violence of the encounter.

I still need to continue with this show after I saw episode 1 but I'm a but reluctant to do so until I know where this show is going. Do you mind spoiling me about how the queen and king are fairing in this episode?

Another solid episode, not as good as last week's but still okay.
Gieve is slowly becoming my fav character this season.
The action was nice aswell and I have hopes that we will get some really cool fights in the future.
Silvermask delivering dat arrow to the back huh
The potential is amazing in this show btw,if they execute it right we have something to rejoice about.

This is getting really good! Friggin loving Gieve. He did one good one on Silver Mask there XD Seems like he has a trauma from flames?

He's hoping for a good king so I'm sure he'll follow Arslan.

Narsus's plan is quite good but I don't get why they left at the end? Weren't they waiting for Kharlan? Maybe they got the info that Ecbatana had fallen and changed plans?

I was rooting for the slaves lol. Sucks that Sam had to die. He was one of the cool characters who I hoped to join Arslan later :/

Lots of brutal scenes in this series too. Love it :D

I really like that they're not rushing the adaption and letting things develop as they do for the most part in the manga.

My only beef is that the scenes in the tunnel were so dark that I couldn't really see a thing (it was probably the point, lol).

Great episode; good quality build up, and at during the episode no point did I feel like the story was rushed.

The characters aren't dim witted and have the ability to analyse the situation which is a great change from the norm.

Was it just me or was this episode like... very dark? As in lighting-wise on every single scene in the second half lol. Felt like I was watching the walking dead.

Yup, I had the same "problem" for all the stuff in the tunnels. Had to put brightness level up to the max.

Very dark lighting this episode
About time Ecbatana fell.
K so musician guy wipes out a bunch of Lustanians just like that, though I guess he had some advantage in the sewer.
That black haired woman looks a lot like the queen.
This series is a way better take on middle east than that Magi shit, would make for a great RPG.

Soo the queen abandons the kingdom because she won't acknowledge the power of the slaves. Bah i can understand the rebelion and the hate towards Ectoban, though i doubt that the slaves would be treated differently at the other kingdom. Arslan and his men are making their move too, I look forward to the next episode.

King is dick...queen is a bitch...and Arslan is...well whiny little prince....for now :P
Yep this episode was dark....i had to tune up brithness :P
The story is interesting for now but my only concern is that it should be only 25ep long...and we are already on episode 6 and nothing much has happened...its nice that they are doing great adaptation and are taking theyr time...but we have only 19ep to go....i hope they plan to do another season....

PS:....so is Arslan the kid of the Queen Tahamenay or whats is her name? i dont rly think so.....but is here even child of the King???? Or maybe he is kid of queen but not kid of the King and couse that King hates him so Queen to keep her status just decided to ignore Arslan too...

RIP Ecbatana's generals....I was waiting for the enemy to start showing the heads of the fallen and boy was it brutal :(

Gieve continues to show why he is a fucking beast...His intuition and just common sense in general is strong and holy shit this guy is a badass in terms of fighting....He actually rekt Silver Mask and then completely owned those soldiers like they were nothing xD

I was wondering what would have happened with the queen but after seeing the ending of this episode I'm not entirely sure if she actually escaped or if the dark haired chick that I've been waiting for is her or not....Personally I hope they're different persons

I guess now this is where the story will start moving even more and I can't wait to see what Arslan and friends do next.....Looks like the dark haired girl will have a lot of focus on herself so I can't wait to see it.....Overall great episode yet again this week

Great episode! It didn't focus on Arslan and co much, but its important to show the full scale of the war, and the people involved. Gieve got to have some more awesome scenes, he's doing good at playing the role of the loveable rogue.

The discussion about slavery at the beginning, and the idea that the people of Ecbatana brought their own destruction upon themselves by continuing to use such a cruel system was very well done, and was one of the highlights of the episode for me.

The female member of the party is coming soon, but I hope she's not used for fanservice.

Quite a dark episode, both figuratively and literally. Luckily it's a thunderstorm where I am so I don't mind. It was nice exploring with Gieve's character more and the fall of the capital as Arslan and party wait.

So did the queen manage to escape?

Don't really enjoy the fight in the tunnel. The tunnel is too dark for me to actually know what's going on but Gieve is badass.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

Sam was an understanding commander.

I really like how everything has a price to it.

A secret passage meant for escape but then allowed the enemy to release the slaves.
The slaves being the foundation of the kingdom, the labour, yet they were the one to destroy the fine architectures and the history with it.
And the violent slaughter of the rebellion led to much more hatred.

It is just quite amazing how the strength of the kingdom is the only way to make them submit, once it is gone, betrayal and the overthrow of the dynasty begins.

I wonder what role would the Queen play later. Hmm, the "what if" scenario on how the Queen announced the freedom and reward to the slaves, would that have changed anything at the big picture. Sigh, depending on their supplies on how long they can defend and wait it out, how strong is their reinforcement, when the main army was defeated out of wits, what makes Sam think that history won't just repeat itself. Garshasph in this sense was right, if they are going to fall, make them bleed, even if it is a little.

Getting me interested in history again.

Gieve is so badass! Loved how he owned those solders and aghast Silver Mask with that flame. Traumatic element detected.

I was hoping for Sam to get away and perhaps join Arslan's crew. Too bad that he got overpowered. Didn't care much about Garshasph though.

Well, Ecbatana seems to have fallen completely. Wonder which path the Queen took to escape. Hope she doesn't end up getting caught.

Decent episode. Spotted one hot Archer girl in the PV so very much looking forward to next week. :3

I thought about that and Zuko from Avatar. I question if Silver Mask has any genetic relation to the King, which is also why I thought more of Zuko than the Hound.

Maybe his conception was a mistake - someone forced himself on her and she ended up pregnant, or she had sex with someone and accidentally got pregnant. And if she loved the King, it caused tension between them, especially if the deed was unspoken of but pretty obvious, and because of the whole blood royalty thing. Having a bastard son and all.
