| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Oo, that was intense. A bit of strategic planning from both sides including some aerial planning. The actual battle was alright imo, it was more about which side had better planning imo. Snipers really makes an interesting playing ground and I find it almost tragic at how some of the guys just got shot straight in the face. Yatori and Ikta got their little moment as well like usual. Jean is quite terrifying in an unique way..with the way he used those explosive cannons and cavalry coordination. |

| This anime is nearing it's end but it seems the finale is going to be very interesting seeing the current events. The enemy commander is very capable which makes things very interesting. I wonder what Iktar will come up with next episode. |
| So wait, is that prick Safida actually gonna stand trial? Jean continues to be far more fun and interesting to watch than Ikta. Secretary girl scared in the blimp was kawaiiii! XD |

| Good episode again, Nice that the princess is taking action against Safida. Torway and his unit did a great job. Very nice moment with Yattori and Ikta, The show always does a great job at showcasing how close both of them are. Damn, So Ikta got outwitted by the Unsleeping general. Wonder how he's gonna turn this situation around. |

| Great episode. Loved how Torway pwnd those Ghost Squad guys. And it is getting interesting again with those cannons. Surely will be a exciting 13th episode next week. I guess the princess will help out somehow. (Either moving there with some of her own personal guards/knights or ordering some of ther other guys that already retreated to go back and help.) |
| Torway got the "Deadeye" achievement this time around and play of the game. Welp good episode, next week it ends. Gonna go ahead and cry now since we all know that Madhouse won't be giving this series a season 2 like always. |

| I could watch this anime all day, another brilliant episode. It's like a game of cat & mouse it's nice to see two evenly matched in Ikta and the Silver hair dude. Can't believe there is only 1 ep left, it should have been a split cour. Sadly its Madhouse and if Overlord can't get a season 2 then this has no chance. |

| Torway was definitely the star of this episode with the way he and his platoon took out the enemy. That was badass. It looks like Ikta and the others are in a huge predicament now. Interesting to see how all of this will be wrapped up next week. Hopefully it isn't too rushed. |

| I like the scene where Ikta is telling the air rifle commander to look at the battlefield from the enemy's perspective. Good sound practice. I get the feeling that Yatori will be playing a key role in the finale, but I have no idea exactly how. |

| The cannons are weird. Not because they use air pressure to fire but ow the animated it... Anyone notice how the gas chamber expanded when firing? Shouldn't it compress to expel the pressurized air and propel the projectile? Pretty cool episode. Still I haven't seen any extremely impressive battles this series. Kind of just shows enough so you know the result and strategy used but otherwise the battles aren't really the focus it seems. Which is understandable, but it doesn't give you the impact of the planning involved otherwise. |

| So Jean is too smart for Ikta. He pretends to be on the back foot when he was in fact training for an attack through the firewall. And that puts Ikta in a pinch because he did not expect them to use a blimp to monitor the place much less create a whole obstacle course for training. And now the tables have seemingly turned. Torway gets some shining time as he takes down the hidden Aldera allies by ambushing their ambushing men. They're fighting on two fronts now. And the princess has found out something and will be sending Safida to the military tribunal soon. |
| well medieval army vs ww1 army with airplane and cannon that fire shell using sun energy. It is a miracle that the Empire still exists imagine air sniper on the blimps, it's not even a fight, it's massacred p.s the sword is not needed anymore, it's just like a dead flag rise up for Yatori, I hope she die, she is not the least interesting. |

| That scene between Ikta and Yatori so great. I like they doing back to back moment. Damn the cliffhanger, i hope they not gonna rushed next episode since princess said " I got something to tell Ikta" . Please Madhouse make 10 minutes extra next episode. |

| Anime as whole is quite good, but I don't rly like how they handled characters. We have genius and swordmaster, and... incompetent idiots. Every time commander is incompetent, so Ikta can win pretty easily. It's kinda meh. And now, we have another genius on the other side. It's too typical. |

| I loved the battle and the tactics involved, but the best bits are those small personal exchanges between Ikta and Yatorishino. And I do wonder what the little princess wants to tell Ikta so badly? The smug white haired genius trope still pisses me off to no end though. I'm all for Ikta having a rival that can match him for wits and give him a defeat here and there, but couldn't they have gone for a normal looking character that wasn't a smug POS? |

| Good maneuvering and counter maneuvering on both sides. First with Torway's skirmish, and then when the white haired dude brought out the cannons. To be fair they got outplayed in the end, but Ikta's tactics were sound. He just never forecast them using that new technology. |

| Lol, everybody is pretty eager to loose their limbs. Kids these days... Thank god somebody noticed that this fat fuck need to be put in court for his stupid actions that killed hundreds. Freckle girl is pretty naive if she didn't expect to end up killing people during wartime. In general, this whole battle feels a little rushed. I don't know if they cut stuff from the novel, but the days go by rather quickly. In total, one of the better episodes. |

| O.O this was intense, a well insanely awesome. Really great episode, and really got to enjoy the battle between Lazy and calm/sleepless. And the strategic is greatly satisfying. next up is the last episode! cant wait for how this will go! do hope this would be a second season as well |

Well I guess this series is about Ikta and every chara will utter his name once every 2 mins. Feels like they left many details out from LN, coz Ikta plan to keep on firewall in a burnt forest with loads of wood? and Jean knowing Ikta army has less than 2 battalions was still waiting for 4-5 days until his BIG-ASS cannons arrived? In the end, temporarily, Jean one-ups Ikta and invades his camp, but pretty sure Ikta will win against difficult odds again. Also, that subordinate of Jean in the blimp, was scared of heights and was too cute.........Suya plz be more like her than bawl over Sinacks. |

| I have been extremely critical of this anime, but I have to admit this was a very good episode. The stupidity lessens tremendously now that Ikta is far away from the fighting. It's also nice to see that Ikta isn't perfect in his military planning, though his prediction of when the enemy would try to attack the rear of the fort was way beyond my suspension of disbelief. |
| Lol the princess scolding that incompetent general for fleeing the battle was a great start to the series. Here's hoping that in the military tribunal that he will be found guilty and punished severely for its his fault that the war started. So the enemy thinks that Yatori's family is responsible for the stalemate that the battle is currently at eh. Well it would make Ikkta's job easier in that they don't suspect his presence. Guess that the battle at the fort will be where the captain can show his mettle as at the moment he's overshadowed by Solok's strategic genius and Yatori in swordplay. If anything the enemy strategist is rather bold taking a hot air balloon directly over the enemy camp but as it turns out this was part of his plans. Watching the enemy's ghost squad be counter ambushed by Torway though that was satisfying. Torway is definitely a better soldier now able to think fast on his feet. The scene where Ikta and Yatori was having dinner though was nice a moment of peace on a battlefield. Quite a interesting relationship they have Overall a great episode that was just about a battle of wits as it is a battle of strength. And now the enemy brings out the big guns literally lol can't wait to see what happens next week in the last episode. |

Then since the whole point of circling is to gain time compared to just wait for the fire to extinguish, obviously they're not going to wait before doing the assault, that would remove any purpose from doing that move. which basically restrain the window for the attack as "the day those troops arrived or the next day at best". |

Unsleeping one did nothing to amaze me, he not, only smart thing he did was to set own fire to burn it out quicker. With SUCH a technological, material and manpower superiority I WOULD "Outsmart" Ikta too. Hell I would already won probably. But he was waiting till basicaly till last day possible to do something. If he used those cannons in first battle or use them to attack rear fortrest with more reinforcements, he would already won. They didnt attack rear because it would take too much time but they literaly did nothing several days anyway, so why? |

Well I let my defence here open, true, but I wasn't really focusing on that, it just small wits to talk it later. Its hard to interpret situation in anime way it is handing in, moreover when you see it through several weeks. Iam withdrawing here. My main point actually was that Unsleeping doesnt seems to me like genius at all yet how everybody jizzing here, he did nothing to impress me yet, he only points are using of technological advance he has(and not very stunning way yet, in my opinion, but that subjective), because none of that fundamentalists he supporting is able to do that because religion. Yes maybe he wanting to hide hes trumph cards for later, but it was 6th day of 7th for Imperials army to reatreat and take defensive positions in "impenetrable" fortresess they have. It can't do really difference now, can it? |
