Haha, Jun Toda getting carried more than once this episode is hilarious. Poor girl.

However, I will say that having Toda to carry the episode was an interesting choice. I didn't think she'd be able to stand out like that by herself. She's got that idol aura. Second half of the episode got kinda dark though. RIP Yuu. She didn't stick around the show for long but definitely had an emotional impact on Jun.

Yuu chan :( This episode like the last two, was heavy on the feels. It's cool seeing Jun's backstory. Despite her sunny exterior she's hiding a lot of pain The girls are her first real group of friends. They of course can't replace Yuu, but they can help fill that hole in her heart.

Last 3 eps have been amazing. Wish this wasn't so slept on/underrated. One of the best idol shows for sure. Episode 1 was a bit odd in its pacing and narrative, but it's really its stride lately. The concept of the wall is very interesting and adds a lot to the story.

Jun had one hell of a day. They overworked her.
Good to see everyone has recovered.

Yeah, the second half was dark with the death of Yuu. ;-;

Life is hard. Enjoy your life. Stay positive no matter what happens.

The character change from Jun is enormous. She went to full happiness after meeting Yuu. But there are always the sad parts in a daily life....really impressed by her poisitve attitude to manage ALL those works for her friends.

This show really makes you appreciate characters more. At the start, most just seemed like generic idol characters. But episode by episode, they're making you care about them, making them seem like real characters. I really love it.

The bungee was out of place. Those kind of events are for promoting singles. I'm guessing the roller coster scene and the haunted house were references to Fuji Q which are also best done in pairs.

and the detail in that death scene was....fukin amazing. Almost felt like I was watching some YLiA type shit instead of some shitty idol show, so big props there. The crying from the mom was done really well

Definitely one of the darker episodes of the series, Jun has really had it rough, just like most of the other characters, and it's because of the chance that she was given that she's radiant now. It was very heartwarming to see the girls appear at the end, especially after the pretty sad and dark past few minutes, and Jun's "You don't know what i've been through, it was so fun" reference to both her past (having fun with Yuu despite her death), and the busy day she just had getting carried by manager-kun (i forgot his name).

Same here. When she started coughing in the classroom and everyone looked at her I thought she was faking it to get attention, and made up a whole story about how the episode would be about her overcoming that character flaw. I was way off the mark of course. I usually am.

Great episode. Jun was hilarious when she kept smacking herself after the interview. I had a joke ready, when Yuu says that "Injections are like a roller coaster" - made me wonder exactly what kind of stuff they were administering her. But it seems out of place now. Instead, I'll celebrate that smug face when she took out the karaoke card.

I thought the ending song (Jinsei wa Waltz) was beautiful. It's such a rare thing to hear a 3/4 time song as OP or ED - especially in idol shows.

A small continuity issue:

The flowers behind Yuu turn to buds in that scene. Those flowers are an important plot device in the episode: they reappear in a picture on the wall at the end, and in the ED. I'm a sucker for that kind of details.

So it was a case of food poisoning, leaving Jun Toda the only healthy idol available. What a way to issue the leadership role to someone else.

Such a cheeky girl, trying to take advantage of the situation, but deep down, she's not just (yet) another girl of troubled past (frailing health).

Despite her circumstances, trying to imitate the others in their style whilst being chased by the Wall's Orders in her usual forced genuine smile is the norm. That's pretty nice for someone who's supported by another patient (Yuu) through her ailing recovery.

Trying to be leader seems esteemed in her blood trying to finish as many of the Wall's Orders as possible appearing last episode, and she masters it well despite concurrent issues.

But Yuu's death shatters and shudders her heart and soul to the core (and mine too) whilst a full recovery is made. A miracle of coincidence? That can't be so for Jun, but she made solace with "receiving Yuu's life" in exchange.

One of the more darker yet surprisingly great episodes to date.

rest of the show could shit the bed by the end but for now a lot of people are sleeping on this which is a shame it sure as hell isn't the typical idol show and it seems idol fans prefer things like love live over heavy drama focused shows like wake up girls and this
