My first impression of this anime was extremely positive, but now that I've finished, I'm starting to reconsider my opinion. Overall it was filled with mediocre gags and there was a serious lack of character and plot development.

The redeeming factors is the awesome OP sequence, the ED song, and Inari X Shuu. Otherwise, this is a forgettable series that provided me with a few laughs.

It's been a while since I enjoyed a series and watched it in just one day, I just loved it. The art style was really nice and fluid. I loved the comedy it was hilarious especially the driver xD. The three main characters were really likable and interesting. It had very nice heartwarming and touching moments. I will definitely start reading the manga.

I'd definitely hang out with the nunnery lmao. Seriously, if I can find a dormitory or an apartment complex full of interesting people like that, I'd want to live there.

It's amazing how much I can relate with the characters. The humor just hit every note and the characters are all very likable.

10/10. Time to buy the BDs.

That was a delightful show! Funny, cute, unique and great pacing. Each episode felt like 5 minutes instead of 20 because it was just so enjoyable. It was worthwhile to watch this since I've been having self esteem issues since forever... This anime really inspires me to embrace my creativity and my newfound obsession to making plushies (Gotta make a jellyfish plushie one day!)

Debating between a 8/10 or a 9. Leaning towards 8/10, because I found the ending too open.

Also, Tsukimi is the cutest protagonist ever! :D HanaKana really shines in this role. As well as SuwaJun's role as Shu <3 The serious megane voice really makes him sound much hotter than his blonde flirt voices like (Kaname and Ren)

ALSO: Love the OP and ED is nice as well.

I can't believe that the series is over, I just want more! Really this anime was amazing for me, it had such a nice setting and atmosphere combined with great development in both story and characters made up for one hell of a great anime! It's rather sad that there isn't a second season but well it sure was still lovely till the end! 9/10

I usually don't go for these types of animes (romance, slice of life (this is somewhat slice of life right???)), but I must admit I adored this one.

Those dresses were adorable. I'd definitely buy those Tsukimi! ~

Shu x Inari was adorable as well, though I feel Shu x Tsukimi didn't get enough attention. Also kinda sad that they just teased us with a Kuranosuke x Tsukimi kiss and it never actually happened.

9/10, definitely would be a 10 if this were my favorite genre, but alas it is not.

SO GREAT ^__^ The ending was nice :) Not a romantic one, which I wasn't even
really expecting. This isn't a romcom afterall. I enjoyed the whole series a lot ^^
It amused me thoroughly. A sequel would make sense and I would like it.~~ 9/10

Yet another series treated badly and no end.
Storyline that continues the story until the end, but an end in this way serei souls, is almost the complete dark about what is happening in the future.
Narration funny and down-to-earth, maybe they were so many production, shame it ended so soon.
Of history has known very little.
The drawings and animations this time they remained discreet.
I hope you make a S2 in the future.

Very funny anime. It had me LOL-ing so many times. Quality humor and quality entertainment. The romantic moments were rather cheesy but they didn't take away from the overall enjoyment. I just thought the last couple of episodes felt very rushed and didn't lead to an eventual closing. A few more episodes with slower pacing and the end result would have been much better. Oh, well...

I just finished watching this anime and although I enjoyed it.... was that it?

They managed to solve their problem with Chieko's mom's return but what about Kuranosuke and Tuskimi's "romance"? And what happens to Shu now after going abroad? I feel like there's a severe lack of closure in this anime. @_@

awh it's over..
this final episode definitely felt rushed, and didn't really resolve much romance-wise. It's left up to the viewer to decide I guess. Still, it was an ending I am satisfied with, but I now have that empty feeling in my stomach knowing that I won't be able to see the crazy antics of the Sisterhood of Amamizu anymore...
well, Kuragehime was a joy to watch.

It was a bit rushed, but all's well that ends well. The house is saved, Tsukimi gets to make her dresses ( I like her resolute self when it's about that ) and even Inari redeemed herself in the end.

Started watching this on a whim and I didn't expect too much, except for it to be a fun time waster.

This totally surprised me though, and I was completely blown away by how good it was. I can't really say much more than a thousand other people have: Tsukimi is quite possibly the cutest main character I've ever seen. I think the only one who has the same amount of cute levels is Inaba from Kokoro Connect. The comedy was gold, and the relationships felt like they developed very naturally.

The only gripe I have is the ending. It was quite rushed and a little unsatisfying due to the open ending, but it doesn't ruin it for me at all. It was hilarious, it was uplifting, and it was unforgettable. 9/10

Uhh I didn't want it to end the moment it started to focus more on Tsukimi x Kuranosuke. Otherwise I find this series a bit too hyper/noisy for my taste. Overall still a really fun series and I agree with the ending, it hasn't close up the Shu relationship.

Just marathoned the entire thing. Man, if it wasn't for Kuranosuke constantly looking so fashionable and being a quality trap, I would have dropped this so quickly. Tsukimi was just a real hit or miss each episode. All those other girls are were just fucking annoying as hell, well mostly the three kingdom one. I mean I still enjoyed it but at the same time, there were moments I just wanted to punch the screen.

Wow, I loved this show so much! It only took one episode and I was hooked - after watching it all I must say it has become an instant favorite. I especially liked Kuranosuke, I really appreciate how they portray a cisgender, straight male character who is a cross-dresser in such a realistic, down-to-earth, no fuss way. It felt like they never overplayed it for comic relief, and I'm so glad they didn't. In fact, the way the show managed to flesh out it's main characters in only 11 episodes is one of the main reasons why I loved it.

Really hope that there will be a second season someday! It's already been six years, but with the open ending, the manga continuing, and even a live action movie (ugh) that came later on, I'll keep my fingers crossed for more.

I'll probably start reading the manga (too curious not to), but with all of the wonderful references to movies and pop culture, the music, the art style, everything, I think it's a story that works really well in animated form.

9/10 for sure!

Welll its been a while since I blasted through an 11-12 episode series in one day. Always a good signifier that I just watched a gem. Very nice show, very nice concepts and very refreshing. There all endearing in there own way, the sisters kinda ticked me off at first but they grew on me. Sad to say it can be added to the list of shows that stand miles apart from there peers and will never get a second season. One can dream? Crunchy has the manga and I'll check it out, don't know how long I will last reading it. Very attached to all the voices but you never know. And with that... OLE!!!!!

Loved it! But the ending felt a tad bit inconclusive? Like, what'll happen to Shu and all? Just ending like that?

Solid 9/10, would've been 10/10. Surely they could've stretched this one to 13 episodes? Ah well, spilled milk.

After a good 1st episode I felt very disappointed in the rest of the show. I think the main problem lies with 1-trait-characters and overall "plot". I do not see a personality behind such a character as, for example, our MC, Tsukimi, whose world revolves around jellyfish - for the most part all the talks, all the thoughts, all the drawings and all the initiatives are centered around those animals. The show had, of course, humorous moments, but they became repetitive after a while. It is a shame that such fine art and animation were wasted on a story with far-fetched situations and characters with artificial emotions.

...And it's over! Aww, I think this was a nice ending episode. I've really loved the characters, especially now, so it's sad that it's ending. This has been a really comfortable anime to watch, I think because the characters are so nice and all the interactions. Fashion show was quite a nice payoff too.

I'm calling it a 9/10, so instead of saying what I love about it, here's why I'm not giving it a 10/10: The redevelopment plot. Yes, that really ended up going nowhere. The threat of it wasn't consistent, and that business lady never really took it far enough. I'm happy she lost some of her arrogance at the end there, but I don't know what kind of a resolution it was for Kuranosuke's brother. Also the scenes with just him and that lady weren't great throughout. I much prefer the interactions with Kuranosuke and the Amamizukan women. Although, probably my favourite side-character, Hanamori, got most of his scenes from the parts with Shuu so that's good. I am very happy with the anime overall :)

It was an okay ending. Nothing special, tbh. They rushed it, maaan, but I enjoyed the anime throughout because of the funny characters. Shuu is definitely my fave out of this show. I despise romance and there's no romance tag in this show, so I can't believe I survived it. Holy shit. Liked this anime.

Unfortunately this show expectedly cannot sustain its early momentum and lags during the later eps, a trait common to some of my favorite romcoms (Fruits Basket, Toradora, School Rumble).

Romcom is my favorite genre, and very easy to watch for me, binge all the time. But even with that bias, I can only name a few with consistency and excellence throughout their run: Kare Kano, Honey and Clover, Skip Beat.

Kuragehime is perfect in its first 4 eps. But in the end, its pairing of Shuu with a date-rape woman is so terrible. I love Kuranosuke, but I think he doesn't have chemistry with Tsukimi, and they're better remaining friends. The 4 other tenants, their jokes are perfect in the 1st half, but towards the end, they are unfortunately reduced to their jokes and their otaku fields and made for laughs.
