Time to settle old business.

Mike uses details provided by Emma to locate Jason Cardenas, a former AUZA staff member. Meanwhile, thwarted in his initial attempt to infiltrate AUZA City by Zai, Higan discovers an alternative pathway, thanks to the mysterious benefactor who has been helping him all along. As Jason starts to talk about his desire to shut down AUZA and take revenge because they fired him, Mike stands beside him without objection as he initiates the hack. They uncover information about a company named "Bound" and its involvement in identity manipulation. Emma's name on the list catches Mike's attention. But just as he notices her name, AUZA catches onto the hack and begins to raid Jason's arcade.

The whole AUZA company is bad news. It's not surprising anymore. Jason went into hiding because working there was terrible. Last episode was slow, just setting up for this one. We knew there'd be a fight in the park with rock music. And AUZA buying identities? Not shocking at all. But seeing Emma's name on that list makes me wonder what AUZA's up to. Probably nothing good.

Anyway, Higan fights the guards, and the animation is great. Mike should've listened to Higan's car advice; it might have helped. And of course, these AUZA dude's have mechs. AUZA could do anything like pull out a nuke, and I wouldn't be surprised. Just seeing Yamaji made Higan go crazy, but he couldn't do much. Zai standing by Higan's side isn't surprising. He's a good friend. But Higan still couldn't do much even with his help.

Things are looking bad for Higan and Mike. How will they got out of this one?

Damn, so Emma has ties to AUZA in some way, and the person helping Higan was a traitor to higher ups. Good thing they timed that betrayal right to save him with the robot or Higan's quest for revenge would've ended right there.

Too soon to say Emma is a traitor but she's definitely more involve in a complicated way, could she be that pink robot that help Higan?

@deg It would make a lot of sense if that was the case. Intriguing to say the least.

Excellent action packed episode. That last scene had the perfect OST to it too.

Did his secret technique weaken or something.

Not a fan of the english rap esque background music but the rest of the episode was on point.

IMO I could see her as a double agent. Working as the FBI agent while keeping contact with Auza (might have something to do with the VR and when the car crashes at the end of ep 3, her face was hidden too), and the one provides information to Joe as well as hacking the security system and saving him at the end

Or this might just me overthinking stuffs so...

So there's more to Emma than meets the eye it seems. Her name being on that list was sus and she all of a sudden wasn't answering her phone when Moriss tried calling her. And on the subject of Moriss, he was looking rough at the end after that car chase.

Great action yet again but Higan was getting tossed around and overpowered. Luckily whoever was controlling the pink robot (maybe Emma? 🤔) got him out of there. The mysteries keep on coming.

The OST during the final scene + the end credits was amazing. And while the background rap songs might not be everyone's cup of tea, today's insert song that played while Higan was infiltrating was fucking fire.

People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

I think this episode was just as good as the first episode in terms of action direction. Storywise, its also the most intriguing and feels like its setting up the second half of the story. Very excited.

Also, aside from the visuals and action (which have been great so far), the OST for this series is so good. That last track especially that played over the credits for this episode was top tier.

I knew it wasn't going easy to take down Auza after Joe left a bunch of corpses he comes face to face with Auza's main henchman group in ninja mech suits. Joe was obviously no match them as he was blinded by rage in only going after Yamaji instead of focusing one the enemies in front of him. Just when Zai was about to execute Joe, the pink ninja mech saves him at the last minute and escaping from Auza city. I do agree with everyone's theory as the person in the pink ninja mech suit might be Emma as her name was revealed to be on a list of sleeper agents in Auza's "Bound" program. It will also explain why Mike couldn't get a hold of Emma while he was being chased down by Auza mercenaries. Speaking of Mike, he's in bad shape after tracking down a former Azua employee named Jason Cardenas and discovering Emma's name on a list of personal profiles tied(Bound) to Auza so he doesn't know if Emma is friend or foe.

Constantly high level of animation and direction. While story might not be deep, it doesn't pretend to be and is plenty serviceable. By far my favorite show this season.

it's all trash, not watchable at all.

leaving that aside, this specific episode had some nice brightness and shading that I've never seen before... yeah, I think they nailed it 😁

but after seeing this I much rather the Netflix shows heh. hell, if I must say, ninja kamui makes b: the beginning look good 😱 2/5.

This was easily the best episode yet. All of the action scenes were fantastic, as usual, but the suspense was on a different level. Mike discovering that Emma is involved with AUZA and one of AUZA's own elite security force helping Higan? I definitely didn't suspect either of those things. The flashbacks to Higan's family during his bloodthirsty rampage toward Yamaji was also a shot to the feels. I started watching this anime for the action, but this episode elevated it beyond that.

Higan is the definition of a one-man army he needed to get jumped by 100s of guys just to lose😂. I have respect his tenacity though. He came back from the dead to avenge his wife and son. Then, after he got completely pummeled, bro stood up to continue fighting.

I thought Zai was the inside man who was helping Higan but it turned it was that pink mecha dude(?) Could it be a 'she', due to the pink, and she was synth-changing her voice to male? Could it even be Mari, assuming she somehow survived, perhaps via her secret art? Or is it Emma?

The coward Yamaji was watching from a safe distance without participating. What a despicable old man.. Last but not least are all those hundreds of masked mecha-suit ninjas they have unleashed on Higan and the other "exiles" supposed to be... undead ninjas?

Higan removed the mask of one and his face had, er, misplaced its flesh. Wtf? Are they mass produced undead ninja clones (assuming that makes any sense...)?
However, even if somehow they are undead ninjas and thus are all-skeleton inside why on Earth would they bleed so much or at all? Undeads do not bleed, yet Higan has spilled tens of gallons of blood from them..
