| I always prefered gogoanime over kissanime anyway. And just like I read somewhere once, one site gets shut down and another new 50 get booted up. After looking through a few, you can usually find what you're looking for in a matter of 10 minutes. It's not like they won't try and boot up the site or a new one in the future anyway. |

| You remove one, another one will eventually pop up. These aggregator websites will never die as long as people have backups. I personally don't use KA since their website was an absolute mess. I hope this means people will find better alternatives. |

| I'm not too bothered by KA's shutdown, what does annoy me is that Kissmanga is gone too now, and it had a simple and nice way to read manga, along with a large library, that's what sucks about this. |

| I support Japan in their mission to rid the internet of illegal anime & manga sites (it IS copyright infringement at the end of the day) but I’m still sad & frustrated about this news since outside of Japan, we don’t get even a fraction of the anime & manga content available. There needs to be better services that offer more of a selection of anime and manga, not just because we don’t get to enjoy most of it but because the creators aren’t reaching a wider audience either. |

| Here's a day I never thought would come in my lifetime! but I guess that what awaits all free sites.. KissAnime wasn't my first but was probably my last, I haven't used it or any other streaming sites in years but it makes me sad to see it and KissManga go, I have hardly used the latter one in years too but my bookmarks, damn it. KissAsian is still around, better move my bookmarks before it follows them lol ReadComicOnline is still there too. EDIT: looks like their cartoon site is still there too. |

| it was definitely my first lol. I did move on to other sites that didnt have as sketchy ads but I still came back to find new anime that are older n' stuff. I used it all the time when I was younger too. It was my childhood lmao. It just feels as tho a piece of my childhood has just vanished lol |

That may have included their infrastructure, and BETA was an attempt to run "serverless". This is purely speculative, of course. But I think there's enough evidence to conclude that files weren't lost permanently. |

What are you even complaining about? there's TONS of legally licensed Anime and manga now days that we have access to. Especially when compared to 2010 and before that. | I used KissAnime until they tried to put in-video ads, which caused the videos to behave erratically with adblockers. Then I went to gogoanime, which I used before I found Kiss anyways, and never looked back. Maybe Kiss has a bigger list and more updates, not sure. Frankly, when content owners take down these sites, they're going to see their revenue drop. I'm not buying any overpriced Blu-rays without liking the anime first, and I'm not streaming shit until they have the same backlog as these sites, which will never happen due to licensing issues. I'm not going to pay monthly to watch anime from multiple sites because the industry can't get their act together. |

| I think I only used Kissmanga to read a single manga so it's not like I'll miss it or Kissanime. I did know it was a very big website though, and many people used it, so it's still kinda sad, somehow. |

| Well KissManga is a total loss, but I admit I never used KA for my anime I use other sites like one that my Ex introduced to me when we were dating and another one that I've always used for years now and they've been changing their url a lot lately. I'm just glad that there are a ton of options for legal streaming where I am at, but the sad thing is that most niche or older anime that isn't classics will never be picked up that are only available on these types of sites. Not a fan of torrenting cause you have to have a good VPN to do it from what I heard and the only good free one I could find only gives me 10GB per month on Desktop. I only torrented the Code Geass movie and its probably one of the only few things I ever will... |

| I read through the legal proceedings and what might be happening here is that Disney is suing for illegal access of their properties, like via KissCartoon. Since all Kiss sites are on the same server, the server has been disabled because of court-order, possibly until they scrub Disney's content from the server. So KA MAY be back, but I wouldn't hold my breath. |

| I haven't used kissanime or kissmanga in a long time. But they were apart of my early years as an otaku. So I'm gonna miss them in that respect. Hopefully, other sites won't follow but we will have to see. |
