Hope SJ keeps her and continues the story. She can carry it on but I'll assume SJ will want to end the series quickly. |

Now, I feel like I wasted my time reading this manga. Good thing an anime adaptation for this wasn’t announced before all this happened. It would have been probably cancelled on the spot and all those working on it would have just wasted their time. Where in my post did I say I didn't enjoy/like the manga? Please show me... I feel like I wasted my time because now I know that after this incident the manga will get cancelled (in the spot). That's what I meant... There is nothing there about me not liking/enjoying the manga. |

Wut!? I was just planning to read it after my friend recommended it but looks like it's gonna get a rushed ending now or will get into an eternal hiatus(it sucks the most). |

MSAtlos said: I don't think ruroni kenshin was cancelled when the mangaka was caught with child porn so there is a change this wont immediately be cancelled That issue happened a long time after the release of the original Rurouni Kenshin and then during his publishing of his sequel (Hokkaido arc) after he got caught, he got hit with a fine as his punishment but was still able to continue after since he already served his punishment with a fine. But for that particular issue, while still fucked, it's not as severe as what's happening here and the magazine for Weekly Shounen Jump is way more popular and has a much more vocal fanbase so the room for error is much slimmer, making this error have a wider impact. Especially when the manga's peaking in popularity and ratings currently, with people expecting anime out of this soon too. To have a severe issue that involves actual contact with 12-15 year olds in 'dodgy' fashion is definitely more stricter than what Watsuki did since he didn't physically go for anyone then. Both suck ass but the fact is that Act-Age is in big trouble right now with its status and definitely has more chances of cancellation unless WSJ decides not to, which wouldn't be well received on their part. |

Bruh, I was planning on reading this one, now I'm not sure if can do it. The artwork is gorgeous but fuck the writer. I hope they don't cancel it, maybe they could replace the writer or something like that. The illustrator doesn't deserve to lose her job because this nasty fuckwit. |

Anime fucking never, manga fucking cancelled. This is a pretty big fucking yikes. Shame that this shit happened. I now don't want to continue this manga honestly. I just hope the artist recovers from this total BS. |

This is a big fucking rip, act-age was without a doubt my top manga. Now it’s 100% gonna get axed, and probally removed as a whole from the app and website. More so, people are gonna hate the series and have a bias against it for what the shitty author did. For Fuck sake, hope the victims are doing well |

CP possession in Japan is pretty different from doing something irl. Japan was well known as a haven for CP for a long time. I'll be curious to see if WSJ dumps AA or they find a replacement writer. |

KanisterPaliwa said: I love Act-Age, but that doesn't mean the author should get a pass for sexual assault. Letting him off with just a fine isn't fair to the victims. Jump won't want to be associated with him anymore either, so even if he is let off with a fine, he'll lose his job. I think the best we can hope for is that the artist or another mangaka writes the story until the end of this arc, then cancellation.Hopefully he'll pay the fine and use this experience to write next chapters. |

I’ve been reading Act-Age for the past few weeks and am currently on chapter 65. It’s honesty been on my mind a lot and I really love this manga and to see news like this really devastates me. Honestly, I really want to express my feelings of being disappointed in the manga most likely getting cancelled. I feel really bad that this happened to the victims but I also feel really bad about this manga not continuing and not getting an anime. Like, the fact that this will probably not receive an ending bums me the hell out ya know? |

Just when I thought 2020 couldnt get any worse, this happens..best wishes to the 2 young girls that were harrassed by this fucking dimwit. No one deserves to be minding their own business and then have some sicko come and touch him/her. What an absolutely stupid and innapropriate thing to do. Way to flush not only his work, but the work of Shiro Usazaki(artist) and the rest of the people working on Act-Age down the toilet. They didnt deserve it. Now the series is most likely over. smh |

I’ve honestly had this on my mind all day. I can’t stop thinking about this. Like, I love Act-Age so much and it REALLY frustrates me to see it be done in this way. Act-Age was too good to be written by someone who would even think to act upon their twisted desires like that. It’s one thing to simply think twisted things, but to act upon them is an unforgivable thing to do. I’m just thinking that the author must not have cared about his work at all. He most have had like literally zero pride in his creation. I hope AND I REALLY HOPE that Act-Age can continue in SOME way but from what everyone is saying that is looking to be very unlikely. I would even sometimes refresh the MAL homepage every now and then to see if any news popped up for this manga. I guess the anime is very unlikely to happen at this point :( |

I hope the victims are okay. I hope the artist will be okay too. This writer though... eugh. Like for real, guy? People can be so stupid. I know there's a whole thing with groping on trains in Japan, so I'm not surprised with this either. Still it's sad that it's happening and this just adds to the crap. |

Shame to hear, really enjoyed the series too, even on my favorites (as of posting this). Knowing this won't affect my overall opinion of the manga, though the art is more what got me interested in it in the first place, it seems likely that the manga will just be downright cancelled. Hoping this doesn't affect the artist ability to move on to something else |

What a huge fucking fail. Holy shit!
