Broo... I still have not been able to get over the loss of this masterpiece. It's officially been two whole years since the last chapter dropped and I had re-read this at least three times in the past years. I just love this series so much.

At first I was just angry at the author for being stupid, but at least he took it like a man and admitted to his mistake.

Still such a shame to see it go.

But at least in an alternate universe, where life is good, this manga is probably still ongoing and on chapter 250, has an anime, and a stage play.

edit: just realized I went through almost all the stages of grief in this one post lol

I've read this series multiple times and each time I loved it more! It's cemented itself as my top 5 forever. Never leaving it no matter what.

But yes, I do feel your pain...it's been two freaking years. Every time I see it in my favs, it reminds me of the wasted potential but also acceptance as what it is.

It’s a shame. If only the author had acted their age.

I would say currently both Akane and Blue Box captures the feeling quite well. But AA will always remain better for me.

Glass Mask has over a 40 year hiatus, probably just the curse of actress stories.

I'm still sad about the cancellation, it truly was on a league of its own.
Good

Four years have been passed.
If you want to experience peak, I highly recommend watching Monogatari

The reason I started this series was neither because of acting nor because of the girl on the cover.
I started it just because I was wondering why a canceled series had such a high rating.
I started reading, aware of what the author had done.
When I finished, I realized that the author actually had a thought of "sexual harassment" in his mind.

If you pay attention, the author actually made Yonagi say things about sexual harassment once or twice (when he first met Kuroyama, Yonagi called him things like sexual harasser, I'm not exactly sure) or wrote "sexual harasser" on Araya's forehead as a joke. In fact, what's going on in the author's inner world can be deduced from these. By writing, you reveal your inner world without realizing it, i guess. (Reasons not to become a author vol 1)

I can't help but think that if it was still going on right now, it would've an anime adaptation already.
After all, it was in the weekly shounen jump magazine.

And the series had a unique approach to shounen. Even though it doesn't feel like shounen at first, there is competition, the main character has a talent that no one else has, making friends, bonding with them and improving herself, etc.
And when it as long as about acting, it would even may be possible to see battle shounen style things in the series.

Fck the author (was there really nothing in your house that could satisfy your sexual desire in those times?)

Act Age's cancellation doesn't bother me anymore, but I think it's a shame that Usazaki hasn't started a series since then.

It actually gets worse. In the author comments in the Shonen Jump, he once wrote that the lockdown doesn't bother him much as long as he has his bike for his hobby. And during the assaults he was on a bicycle...

Well I just have finished the series this year so..

Yeah, I've never seen anything like her drawing style in my life before. At least she took part in a light novel where she could draw the avatar of Ado, and Ado is so popular both in jp and global. But still we need a nice manga series where she can draw peacefully. Japan give this woman a decent authour's series.

His "hobby"...I wish I didn't understand what he meant by that.

I'm glad that Usazaki Shiro was able to come back with Ichi the Witch, however I'm still upset that Act-Age will never have a continuation.

It's been 5 years since then, but I still can't get over it...
