| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- It's an okay start I guess, nothing really groundbreaking. The OP song looks average tbh. We got introduction of the main girls. There's Yuuko and her bright personality. She seems like the type that can brighten anyone's day. Yeah, this is pretty much a lighthearted magical girl comedy with a lot of humorous gags. Momo is cute too. |

| Sadistic seductress, and croissant horns LOOL. Does Chiyoda wears crocs in school? This show is surprisingly good actually. I was laughing a lot in this episode. Also Konomi Kohara is doing awesome job. |

| I don't even remember adding this to my list, but I thought it was hilarious. It just never lets up with the absurdities, but I think what makes it work so well is the comedic timing and the somewhat off-kilter feel that the show has. It's straightforward but feels unconventional. The director also isn't new to silly magical girl stuff. |

| I've been excited for this anime ever since I saw news on this on January 27th (here on MAL in fact). The picture MAL provided was super cute in both art style and character design, and it looked like it'd be a more light-hearted magical girl story. Trust me, I really LOVE Madoka Magica and I did like Yuki Yuna, but even I think that there are too many edgy/dark magical girl shows airing lately. I mean, I do love light-hearted magical girl shows like 90s Sailor Moon (I honestly love both 90s and Crystal) and Cardcaptor Sakura too. So when I watched this, I was glad to see that it was going to be more light-hearted than other recent magical girl shows. Didn't seem to take itself too seriously either. Like many others in this thread said, it was hilarious. I noticed some "cheap"-looking parts at some points (for example, if you look carefully during the part where the "doorstopper" gets knocked down some stairs), but I didn't mind. From the main character not taking the family history too seriously to the magical girl's transformation, I was having a blast. Gonna make some recommendations now, this is easily my favorite of the few shows I saw this season. |

| This was a ton of fun. As I expected when I read the synopsis, but I didn't think I'd enjoy it this much. Yuuko (should be two Us not one ) is already best girl of the season. Hilarious first episode. Only downsides were on Sentai's end such as how they put the names in Western order (it's annoying to hear Yoshida Yuuko and read Yuko Yoshida) and as I mentioned in another reply, the bitrate that's 4 times too low for the resolution. Lots of noticable compression issues. The translations were also way too liberal. It would've been better to be more direct/accurate. |

| I didn't know GabDrop S2 was this season, nice. Yuuko is so cute! The poor girl gets bullied so hard lmao, the comedy was neat and I found myself laughing a good amount, looking forward to seeing her completely fail to become someone who can defeat the magical girl Momo, who definitely is in the Precure side of the power spectrum, too strong! |

| This was really fun and cute, a lot more than I expected. If the rest of the series keeps it up, likely going to be a favorite this season. Hoping more quirky supernatural/magical characters appear. |

| omg I laughed my ass off here, what a hilarious episode. The humor was just a bit...how should I say it unexpected? for such a cute girls doing cute things story, the jokes simply were pefect timed although it felt rushed at some parts. This show feels like a Gabriel Dropout with some Non Non Biyori vibes for some reason, simply cute and funny as hell |

| well enough fun and nice JC staff is good for comedy series and not action series and fights, they really suck to make any series of action (such as taboo tattoo, OPM and Index have been demonstrating), it is obvious that the magical girl and the demon girl will end up as friends, is the typical plot where the antagonist becomes your friend to fight a worse menace, as the plot of all index arcs. The difference is that one is comedy. |

I mean the way original Japanese lines said are somewhat traditional and you can not just use same words in English for same effect. So we see 'thou' and different word order. There is a lot of argue whether or not translator should adapt texts but answer is 'depends' and you are wrong calling official subbers 'garbage'. They are quite good actually. |

| I like this. It's cute, lighthearted and funny. And the moe levels of this anime reminds me of Urara Meirochou, another show animated by J.C.Staff. Our cute demon girl Yuuko is already a favorite. :3 This show could become my guilty pleasure of this season if this keeps up the cute funny comedy. I want more, lol. |

| lol man that cover art may throw some people off i mean it's no bocchi but this season is lacking the cute moe and this show was unexpectedly more random then it appears makes since after looking at the director Sakurai Hiroaki works. premise is fun for a parody rid the world of light Yoko don't give up! long live the darkness blood for the blood gods! |

| I saw Madoka Magica and Kemono Friends references, it seems they're flexing on madoka xD The animation feels cheap but I don't mind, the episode was very enjoyable and Yuuko is so funny. |

Pretty much all the premise was shown in just one episode, now is time to relax and enjoy. Loved how everyone knows who is a magical girl or demon and just accepts it like it's nothing xD Great show to remedy my yearning for Hitori Bocchi. c: |

| Okay....I didn't expect it to be good at all, and OH BOY I was wrong. Laughed like a mad man from start to finish, the comedy timing, mood-killer, didn't take itself too seriously, all the japanese pun and inner jokes just make me giggle uncontrollably, and the characters, I like them already, the pacing was fast but doesn't feels rushed at all, so damn fun to watch. J.C staff, you should have stick with romance comedy show.  |
| I think the best part of the whole episode is how Yuuko suddenly gets horns and a tail and everyone is just kind of cool with it. Like, yeah, probably nothing to worry about. I think that's exactly how I'd react if it happened to one of my friends. |
| J.C.Staff's take on Gabriel DropOut (or Hitoribocchi), times 10 in hilarity. You know it when the jokes keep running, that's the hint to not take this series at a serious tone. This may just make my days for TGIFs. Yuuko is like Satania (Honshou Aru ver.) only super Zannen! Plus she almost got isekai-ed, an overused trope used for hilarity. Momo, the magical girl, is like Raphiel, albeit some references (like the bread) loosely. AND IT'S NO WONDER why they sound like Hitoribocchi, dayum! Yuuko's VA is Bocchi's childhood friend while Momo's VA is Honshou Aru, the Zannen girl who got lucky this time. Wish that Yuuko would be Aru's VA which would've ensued multiple comedies. All the inner jokes and refrerences are not hard to notice, that is if you don't get the joke. For a first episode, this is another nice surprise , just for the comedy. Probably gonna give it 3 episodes. |

| haha, I'm sold on the first ep. Yuko so kawaii, and they chose the right v.a for her. Hungry, apologizing, being a beggar -- I was laughing so hard. This show fills the gap that Hitoribocchi left in my cgdct slot. Somehow the magical girl voice sounds like Origami from Date A Live. Looking forward to next week. :) |

| It's been long since I laughed and smiled so much while watching an anime episode =). Very very promising, 8/10 easily. But, though hopes are high, let's see how this will progress. Some people are comparing this show to Gabriel Dropout, and this is not a good sign as for me. At the begining GDrop was fairly good and hilarious, but then the amount of Sataniya being bulliyed escalated so much it wasn't fun anymore. I personally hope that this show will evade anything similiar. |
