How the HELL did I forget a dance scene like that back when I read the manga?!

Well even after that I'm still reluctant to say that this part's anime is better than the manga (of course it'll all hinge on if they do that "useless" scene justice, if you know what I mean).

With how much david pro is going all out on this adaption making the already great moments somehow better, im honestly expecting this to be considered the best part by alot of people, the divisive parts near the end will probably also be handled better at this rate.

Most people only experienced a horrible translation that butchered pretty much everyone's personalities except mista, and fucked up explanations leading to stuff like the infamous king crimson which is actually super easy to understand but was explained in such a confounding way it became a meme. Part 5 is actually wildly popular and beloved in japan if not the most well regarded part, it still has some issues but this anime adaption is probably the first time a bunch of people are actually experiencing the real part 5.

I really think part 5 is gonna be regarded as the best part thus far by alot of people, the fights in this series are so absolutly crazy and stylish and we havent even gotten to any of the cool stuff yet especially since part 5 is notable for how much the group fights together rather than just having a member take part in a 1 on 1 (im so absolutly stoked to see anime only's react to man in the mirror). The monster of the week formula is really well hidden if not the most well hidden in the entire series cause of how well it masks it under a adventerous and intense plot that doesnt let up unlike say part 3 which felt like it was meandering along, and just in general tonally part 5 has this air of tragedy that i think is going to resonate with alot of people.

He did that and ran away right after in order to force Mista into taking blind shots. Can’t shoot what you can’t see. Didn’t work out though, considering the nature of Mista’s stand.

Mista's stand is the coolest, I mean it eats how really cool is that and it also talks while also can be able deflect a bullet. This was a great episode that I forgot it was less than 24mins.

I must say this though, their outfits makes them look like gay gigolos or gay strippers. I really can't get over those outfits, but I'm not saying they're offensive but damn do they look flamboyant. Since they are Italians do the writers think the Italians are that way.

Anyways even so I enjoy JoJo man and those quirky outfits, I don't give a damn, but yeah they are too bright.

I had been wondering how the dance would be adapted, and this went well above my expectations. Better than the ASB version. Sex Pistols was hype too.

Yeah, gotta say that aside from my problems with Part 5 it really nails the fights and actually makes all the guys threatening. No jobbers killing the mood here. Starting to think David might actually make me enjoy the finale. Hey, if a budget PS2 game could improve it, why not the Jojo fanboy studio?

Its one of the most iconic things of part 5, It is what JoJo is, bizarre, crazy and "out of place" (on a good way), when I read that panel I felt the need to watch it animated so hard that I couldn't wait. And last but not least, is the least of things you'll expect as a torture xD

Amazing episode.

The dance? 11/10
The moment every Jojo fan was waiting for and it was too goood.

Also I really like seeing Sex Pistols finally. Love their design and found it hilarious how each of them wants to be treated as the favorite.

The rest of the episode was pretty entertaining as well, with Mista wanting to eat lunch at a very serious time to them finding the partner of their assailant.

Very hyped to see what happens next episode.

Part 5 was always known for having amazing fights and great Stands, though. But as you said, the abyssmal translations for Part 4 and 5 really destroyed a lot. And unlike the meme-worthy Duwang of Diamond is not Trash, Vento's translation was just a complete hackjob without any redeeming feature.

From a viewpoint it's stupid because we know it wouldn't stop the bullets, but we can take in mind that he did it to hide his face and for Mista to not know who he is.

My thoughts about the episode:

1. Well, we will just assume that the Radio was magically fixed for the sake of the dance.

2. It's impossible to take the torture seriously if they are dancing while they should be supposedly extracting information from Zucchero. And, since Abbacchio did all that work with his stand, makes the dance just fanservice.

3. Having a lunch in the middle of an operation to find a guy who tries to take the treasure for they were kidnapped? Yeah, they take veeeeery seriously this deal.

As if kicking a headless body like some sort of sandbag and torturing the separated head with fishing line and glasses wasn't bizarre enough already, they actually danced to it. Dancing to someone getting tortured doesn't sound too strange but the trippy visuals and out of place animation coupled with that beat was frankly one of the most bizarre scenes of Jojo I've ever seen and I loved it! I haven't reached part 5 in the manga but I definitely wasn't expecting something like this.

Mista having lunch all of a sudden with time being tight and all was pretty weird but turns out he's just preparing his adorable stands to be energized enough to do a good job. Seeing the Sex Pistols in action for the first time was fantastic. It's as if I was watching Hol Horse's Emperor in action behind the scenes with those tiny buggers changing the trajectory of the bullets like that. He took care of that situation just fine but that suspenseful door opening did feel a bit menacing.

As an anime-only fan who has (like everyone else) seen the original dance panels about a hundred times, but didn't know anything about the context, finding out that it's a dance break in the middle of a horrifying interrogation scene was pretty shocking.

I know the juxtaposition is pretty 'bizarre' but it seems like a pretty fitting character moment--it really drives home that they're a bunch of young, fun-loving guys but still serious, sometimes cold-blooded gangsters.

Really great work introducing Sex Pistols, too--the stand adds a lot to Mista's character and I'm starting to understand why people love him so much.

Amazing work by DP as always, like others have commented I've always heard that part 5 isn't that great but I've been blown away, definitely a contender for my favorite part so far.
