• For 96 (5 or more main adults) is Legend of the Galatic heroes fine? They all look like adults to me and I'm scared I'll get spoiled to character deaths if I look up any character bios
  
• Can 61 (takes place not in Japan) be historical? Was thinking of doing Le Chevalier D'Eon.

Also need confirmation if Summer Wars, Psycho-Pass or Black Lagoon works for 58, 3 or more adult human main characters. Can never be too sure if they're adults or human...

I'm looking for things that have 5 main characters as stated on an anime's MAL page, but I'm struggling to find anything with 5 main adult characters. Every time I find something with with 5 main characters it's always teenagers.

It's Studio Ghibli, all 5 lowest scored anime I haven't watched are commercials . . . which honestly feels like a total waste and not challenging. Wondering if I can skip those and watch this lowest score that has substance that I can locate?

Nope, you have to watch the commercials if they are the lowest scores. Like you, my favorite studio is Ghibli so I had to watch them. Otherwise you can change this item and choose the one you like. :)

After that is done, I was thinking about completing The remake (2012) for challenge #86 "Watch a related anime that aired at least 15 years before/after a previously completed series". However, this series had a few sequels BUT as far as I know the remake is only related to the very first season (?) so if I want to complete the challenge does it still require me to watch everything in between?

I know this probably won't change anything, but I'm really not a fan of the use of Anime+ in this year's Challenge. I never even used the site before and even put -none- for "Link to your Anime+" on my initial sign-up form because I don't want to use another website to do my MAL Challenge. Then, I was taking a closer look at the detailed description of the items and realized that Anime+ apparently has to be used for item (98) "Watch an anime that combines one of your favorite and least favorite genres."

So I clicked on the link for Anime+ and realized that it wasn't another site that I'd really have to sign up for, so that wasn't too big of a deal. But then I saw what were supposedly my favorite and least favorite genres.... I'm sorry, but the rankings that website gave me was a total load of crap. I don't need an algorithm to identify my favorite and least favorite genres, and Anime+ is just far from accurate in it's measure of how I feel about genres because of the way that I watch anime and score it on MAL. Hentai is shown as my least favorite genre, but I don't really hate it at all; I like it quite a bit, but I just rate it differently compared to other anime. Next higher is shounen, which I have no hatred for and really enjoy quite a bit of shows in that genre. The first actual least favorite genre of mine that shows up on my Anime+ ranking is Military which is 8th from the bottom. And one of my least favorites (the one that I was actually going to use for this item) is Historical which is showing as #18 out of 43 for me on Anime+. The genre ranking on this site (which I'm not really a fan of in general) doesn't really work for me because I usually drop and don't score shows that I don't like and I tend to avoid my least favorite genres so I don't tend to score them. And then if I do actually watch something belonging to these genres from beginning to end, it's likely because there were other genres to balance out my dislike of those I hate. Me scoring Millennium Actress a 10 isn't a reflection of a love for Historical anime, it's in spite of that genre, being balanced out by the fantastical elements of the movie and my love of Satoshi Kon. Now, I could very easily just go ahead and pick a Slice of Life and Shounen series for this item (as it says I could ignore Hentai if I want), but doing so would feel extremely disingenuous and against the spirit of this item.

Sorry for the rant. Again, I doubt anything will change to correct this weirdness, at least not for this Challenge, but I did want to at least express my dislike for the use of Anime+ as a requirement for some items; we're just doing this for fun and people should be able to know what kind of things are their favorite and least favorite. Also, going over the details of each item has just been kind of frustrating with a few other things bugging me (like seeing that the "MAL Rewrite" item (70) has an arbitrary 22+ episode requirement after I'd already decided on a 12 episode series to use for it). I think I'll just bump myself down another difficulty level to Viceroy so I don't have to deal with Anime+ and can get rid of a few other really weird items. Sorry again for the wall of text.
