Well I thought the episode was cute.

We get more focus on Rin including bits of her past. She looks adorable as a kid <3
And not only that, the episode also does a decent job to portray her personality. She has some cute on screen chemistry with Sayo imo. Dat pinky promise :3

HiroC! HiroC! HiroC! *.*

Glad to see him again in this show!
And this time he get more screentime!
This was pretty cool!
How close is this to reality? xD

Sayo x Rin, I feel this gonna end like this...
After "together forever" at the beginning...
I knew that this could not end well...

This was nice episode!
Pretty sad, but cool :)

So yeah, Rin isn't the "perfect" character that a couple of people thought about and her problems and anxiety are about the same level as her fellow seiyuu mates. The issues child actors face balancing work and school is very real. Glad this episode revealed all of that and she isn't just some shallow Mary Sue.

Also, Kamiya again? As much as I like the guy, I prefer seiyuus we haven't seen so far. To be fair, he had a much better role in this episode than when he was sperging about his cat.

And Sayo had heart pupils when she was a kid. Guess that's a genetic thing...

This week features Utena's OP. Another one of my to watch anime, but I've heard it so much I pretty much recognize it.
I wish Cowboy Bebop never existed.

So, episode about Rin? To be honest, it was my least episode so far. Still nice, though.

Oh, and

Hm.. this time Utena's opening in the ending

Not too big on Rin but it was nice focusing on her too, I can at least understand her troubles.

And I noticed last week that the max episodes for this show is now uncertain whereas before it said that there was supposed to be 14 episodes. Anyone have any idea on what may happen? Hopefully the amount of episodes won't be reduced at the least.

Easily the weakest episode yet. How can I care about Rin when her worst trouble is having too much success? Poor Ichigo and Futaba...

Very happy about another appearance from Hiroshi Kamiya. Does make me wonder whether or not things he said in show apply to the real life as well.

Rin was also kinda cute as kid. And Sayo is a great friend, very understanding.

That's not her worst trouble; it's actually the pressure that comes with the territory of high expectations, not to mention the hard decisions that have to be made at that age. In Ichigo's and Futaba's case, that pressure is almost non-existent because they're not as talented, and school is no longer of their concern.

The point is, each character has struggles proportionate to her talent.

Glad to see Kamiya back, he's easily my favorite male seiyuu. I would have liked a different voice talent but he obviously came back for a better cameo.

Utena's opening FTW! With all these '90s callbacks I'd be surprised if we didn't get A Cruel Angel's Thesis.

It's not important though, but if what teacher said is true, Nagi shouldn't able to move grade, even if she's a genius. but once again, not important

Great episode with a lot of feels. It's always tough having to juggle school with work, plus of course friends. A lot of times we going into things without really being motivated to do them, just going with the flow, without a real direction.

Im glad Rin made her decision to work harder as a VA, though that meant transferring to a different HS.

True friendships will last the test of time!

And Ichigo is right - Ingredient-less curry is the only food you'll ever need!

I was thinking that, but she skipped grades, so I think hakuo is more lenient about those things. Not to mention the Sanzenin family IS an very important name

Very good episode. Shows the struggles of Rin with balancing her seiyuu and normal life. She realised that she has sacrificed so much yet still have so much more to learn. Kamiya Hiroshi is so kind to her. I wonder if he really is that way in real life. Friendship always lasts if you want it to.

Seems Rin is having a hard time with both her studies and work.
But it seems the teacher did have Rin's career in mind when she told her to transfer.
The question is will Rin be able to adept to her new school.

Don't quite understand why Rin isn't popular with y'all. I mean, she's just a 15 year old girl who sacrificed her childhood to do something that was first foisted onto her, but that she gradually developed a talent and liking for. Sure she started earlier than Futaba and Ichigo, and encountered less resistance, but she has her own fair share of troubles and worries too. I'm way past the teenage stage and I can still empathize with her worries and troubles.

The ending was meant to be lighthearted, but for those of us who've been there, it felt more like a flag to signal the beginning of two friends drifting apart slowly and surly, and a cruel reminder that nothing lasts forever. It feels no less melancholic than the episodes where Futaba couldn't find work, or when Ichigo was struggling to survive. Still, it makes you want to cheer all three of them on as much as possible as well.

HiroC's reappearance was great. Watching Denpa Kyoshi, I cannot get his voice out of my head. His sound is tinged with bits of Izaya and Araragi as well (though I don't really hear the Shinji in there...).

Oh yeah, and request for Utena, I was expecting this to come sooner or later.

+1 This echoes my thoughts exactly. I don't think that people quite understand that finding success doesn't make your problems go away. In fact, in many cases, it can make things worse if you don't take proper care of things.

Sure, Rin has it "easier" in the fact that she doesn't have to work as hard to get roles as say Futaba or Ichigo, but that doesn't change the fact that she's still struggling with the fact that she isn't living a normal childhood. She's been forced to make so many tough decisions at such a young age, and that can be very hard to deal with. She's also having a lot of trouble with school. Sure, Ichigo got fired from her own job because of scheduling conflicts, but with work (especially unskilled part-time work), there will always be another job. And when she finds enough success, she won't need another part time job. For Rin, this is her education, which is much more important.

I want to hug that loli Rin!! Really nice heartwarming episode!
I like how Sayo accepted Rin's decision like that, rather than creating unnecessary drama.
We also see that Rin is not as perfect seiyuu as other people thought. I see her in a new light now!

On side note, that Utena song sounds good. Probably gonna look it up later.

OMG KAMIYAAAAAA AGAIN YAY SO HAPPY!!!!!! <~~~sorry I had to. *BIG FAN*

I did not think I'd see Kamiya in another ep! He is such a wonderful senpai to Rin in her time of need. I'm thinking this is supposed to be realistic so...those rumors about him becoming sadistic (post Zetsubou Sensei) and leaving random things he didn't want in Ono's bag are all made up and he is actually PERFECT. Hmmm. That would make more sense.

I enjoyed Rin's background. I also loved how this ep showed her struggling with decisions - about which high school to attend/apply for, about being a seiyuu, about her current life as a student and a seiyuu, about "together forever", etc. It showed how thoughtful she is. Her talk with Kamiya definitely gave her the boost she needed to gain more confidence which showed in her work and her personal life. Overall, nice ep! <3

I love Hiroshi Kamiya as much as the next dude, but I was expecting a new cameo this week. Although in saying that this cameo was better than his first.

Rin-chan is adorable! She reminds me a bit of Alice from ARIA.

I cried at the end scene between Saya and Rin; Saya's such an understanding friend, but I feel like without them seeing each other at school they'll end up drifting apart. They said they'll hang out in their free time, but it seems that Rin doesn't really have any....

I wonder if the producers ask the guest seiyuus to write their own lines or something. 'cause if the guest seiyuu is appearing as themselves, they wouldn't say something they don't mean
