I don't know where the plot is going anymore this season, it seems there's no major plot happening. Thinking of dropping if there's no improvement.. Durarara!! is not your average standard anime. They gave character development to others character and when the pieces gather it give us the conclusion in the end of the series. |
| That's more like it. Akabayashi is a pretty cool fella. It seems Anri dad wasn't always a POS. Looks like he became an abusive bastard due to his addiction to drugs thanks to the help of Akabayashi's former boss. |

| akabayashi is fucking great. nice character development. animation seems kind of low quality-ish, not very much but yeah. no izaya or shizuo or celty this episode :/ but on the other hand, tom and shizuo and vorona are going to be focused on next episode, which is going to be super cool. |

| For me the best episode this season until now. The guy may have been an unknown but his story was presented really nice and his a cool dude too. | Higher budget = better animation, more staff, better artwork. It all depends on sales. Durarara's artwork and character design is already pretty simplified in terms of the majority anime artwork standard. |
| One of the many reasons I love this series is how the characters are connected to one another. Serendipity or whatnot. Akabayashi Mizuki is now one of my favorite characters. |

And for that it should get more recognition instead of people complaing how they're lost in too many uninteresting characters' story when some effort is taken to flesh out each one of them. |

So, Mizuki gets his eye cut... and he falls for his attacker? Wow, that's fast! So, Akabayashi has history with the Sonohara family, eh? Interesting! I liked this episode! Very insightful on Akabayashi and Anri's story also! I didn't expect this revelation. We now know that he helped Anri after her parents died and also why he hates drugs so much... they took Anri's parents and Mizuki's unrequited love. | I loved this episode, Anri's mother was a nice woman as well and even Kobayashi fall for her. also loved how he just stood there when his superior was getting stabbed to death. |
