| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That was meh. Started pretty quick and it went with a lot of usual generic tropes and battles in the sky. We also get some mechanics of their world. I expect the series to explain more about their school, magic, etc later; probably the more complicated parts. Misora is pretty annoying already for her debut.  I think some of the characters might be misunderstanding the MC though. |

| There are a lot of CG and main heroines are generic as hell. Not to mention typical trope with MC misunderstood for hentai. But at least action is decent and MC is cool although I'm a bit tired of Yoshitsugu Matsuoka |

| Oh dear god. I haven't seen a premiere this bad since The Testament of Sister New Devil. And even THAT first episode was better. This on the other hand, was absolute garbage. This was just REALLY irritating. I hated how the girls met Kanata, because it played out the exact same way. Girl sees something off about main character, such as his pants are off or jelly toast landed on the front of his pants, and he gets immediately called a pervert. Joy, we're starting off on REALLY good terms everyone! The animation for this first episode was very clunky, especially with the Devil Beetles fight at the beginning (Seriously? That's the best name you could have come up with?). The mix of regular and somewhat CGI animation just didn't work for me at all. The girl character designs (besides Lecty, who actually looks different) feel like they stepped out of a eroge. They looked really odd. Also, I want to know why Kanata's been branded a traitor? Is it because he still wanted to fight and got injured even though his unit had to be pulled back? I wish it was explained better. Honestly, this first episode gave me a headache, and I went with low expectations into it anyway. 1 out of 5, and not touching the rest of this anime with a 10 foot pole. |

| Hm...as an opening episode of a new series...this is somewhat meh. Getting treated as a pervert right off the bat is kind of common now a day anime series. So this is about humans fighting bugs...okay. I want to know the reason why he was treated as a traitor. Will follow until I find it not to my liking and as of now there are still thing that I'm curious about. |

| Art was okay. Animation was bad. The scenes that panned through a background (clouds, cityscape) were jerky like they couldnt decide on a constant fps. Ohhhhh this is one of those anime where they represent explosions with flat, yellow-orange circles... Got 9 minutes in and got realllly bored; Realized there was nothing I enjoyed so far. So I didnt bother watching the rest of the episode. I guess I wont shun it the Dropped section since I didn't even watch a full episode. |

| G-G-Generic start indeed. MC is nice he isn't your usual pansy loser MC, but we have Matsuoka here again. All the girls felt extremely bland. I came with no expectations, but it's on the path to be just another forgotten anime or will it progress in an unpredictable way? NOT LIKELY. . . Budget wise seems to be alright, but it definitely will end in Harem unless 'Yuri' is his main interest eliminating any possible romance between the actual lead characters. |

| Diomedea messed up with the character designs.. Kanata and the girls look much better in the original source. Well, not that it matters much since they're all bland characters to begin with. Funimation also messed up with the subs. The name of the city is "Mistgun" not "Mystogan." >.> Way to ruin a great character's name. Of course, the MC had to bump into the girls in some awkward situations before he meets them again. Not to mention he has that "traitor" backstory attached to him, making him an exceptional figure from the get go. Very original concept. Generic start. This'll be JMnF X STnBD and a mix of many cliches. |

| LOL, what the hell is wrong with that trio. Diggin' the ED, the OST as well. The MC is pretty cool, but other than him, the other's characters didn't really catch my attention. Well, Lecty did remind me of Tomonori from Kore wa Zombie Desu ka, so I'll give her props. |

Thats what i thought.....if he didnt do anything more that was show....like....he lead monsters back to city and they destroyed some part of it and it cost human lives or back to his retreating comrades...or something low like that that would normally earned him title traitor....if it was all only that he stayed behind to cover for him comrades......well....thats something that would normally earn you medal or something...if you died double promotion etc......but the thing is i dont thing it was something like leading enemies back home....couse that would earn him scorn even from that Chloe girl...and even that Llyod guy....so unless they blamed him wrongly with something...or they have some crazy rules.....it is just....well stupid and forced back setting.....that feels wrong and weak... |

| I-I am speechless. I came here expecting it to be bad, but i wasn't expecting it to be that bad. Very unimpressive aerial battles, lengthy overexpositions regarding what each heroines are, vaguely specific mysterious conversations that don't make a thing to the audiences at all, the extremely lame pervert jokes, boring and dull BGM music, and most of all, protagonist that sounds, dresses, and acts exactly like Kirito. Usually some bad shows still manage to be enjoyed ironically, but this show was being so straightforward with its badness that it's not enjoyable at all. |

| So, I see a lot of people not understanding this traitor thing. Basically, if you looked at the OP you would understand that Kanata was converted by the beetles (I suppose unwillingly) but was brought back by his friends. I think that start was pretty normal but honestly it smells real bad. The interactions with the firething E601 could have been written by 10 y. o. kids. The plot seems (for now) interesting although not that original. Overall this show has a great potential but like most anime of this kind it will probably never be exploited. This anime is taking the boobsy harem route and as we all know this path often ends in a horrible piece of junky crap that only unsuccessful weak-minded beings would enjoy. |
