Well that was fun overall in the end.

Still quite a busy episode with emotions and stuff going on. I'm definitely glad to see the main cast together again with so many events that happened over the course of this show:

So yeah, definitely had a lot of fun with this anime. The feuding, dramedy, and chemistry with certain members of the clans made this show quite noticeable.

The running and farewell in that other world was also done with excitement.

The start with the mecha immediately failing and that the stones are not the cause!

Nozomi, Yukina, Chiaya and Ai really did a wonderful job to really help fix the things they said they would do.

Confirming how the 4 girls knew each other when they were young ^^ Chiaya having to leave though ;_;, telling Nozomi that she is her Maccha Green. It was quite the wonderful farewell, the scenery as the spaceship leaves with the 3 running along with it.

Really liked this one! To actually get to know one another is the solution to many situations. To misunderstand, to assume, to not know are probably some of the reasons of there that causes tension.

The elaborate colours and the comedy in this was really nice. The themes were simple, but simple is best! 8/10 for me, and hope to see the score raise a bit.

Last note, Momiyama!!! relationships at its finest!

a last little chuckle at the credits..

the first episodes definitely raised the expectations too much, this could have been a 24 episodes show to have the story develop more in detail and with more foreshadowing

Not surprised to see that the stones had nothing to do with the abilities of a best. That finale was pretty cute and it really made me smile :)

I don't think I've ever finished a show as utterly pointless and irritating as Rolling Girls in a long time. Terrible story. Terrible characters. Terrible comedy. Terrible consistency in the animation.

2/10

Edit: Oh, and one last thing. You know that sort of humor where being crazy is the rule and that's supposed to be funny, somehow? From now on, anime is NOT allowed to base their entire runtime on that!

In my personal opinion this was one of the better anime this season and one of the few anime i looked forward to each week.
I will be missing it.

The characters where fun to watch and created some nice moments while traveling around.
And the chaos in this anime was refreshing.

I loved that they went back and we got to see how everyone in the story turned out, so there were like no loose ends.
Still not sure on most of the reasons as to WHY everything happened but ya know, that's fine.

It's a sub genre of SOL that I call "End of Summer" (there probably is a real name for it). Basically the genre has a young teenager spend the waning days of summer in some magical/mystical setting where they gain a bit of wisdom to help them grow up.

"Niea Under Seven" was the first in the genre that I remember; there have been a few since then. The major element that sets it apart from a regular SOL is the magical element, the relative lack of romance, and the general meandering of the plot without a tight resolution. Its a Japanese thing, most westerners dislike the shows because they really don't go anywhere and leave a lot of things unresolved.

I know this show didn't take itself seriously but it had to make sense for me to enjoy it. Maybe its just me who's not getting it or maybe its the execution on the director's part. Either way its over and it was a good show to watch with your brain off (I guess).

Time to look up the story again in the wiki.

Now that was a nice final! Great action in the first half and a heart whelming goodbye scene ;w;. We also got to see a scene from the main characters past.

I give it a 7.5/10. It was a bit confusing, but this anime was funny, got some nice action and its style and art was beautiful. I enjoyed it and will miss it.

Just like how it's started RG ends in the same way, with a dip in animation quality surprisingly, see not even WIT studio care about this show anymore. Another entry of "Animator mastabating (animastabation for short)". Enough said. Moving on to Punchline. 4/10.

A rather rushed episode, but at least most of the plot threads were resolved and Chiaya didn't stay or return, that would have been too clichéd.

The setting could have been established further, the comedy should have stayed energetic like the second episode and the main characters needed to be established more. It didn't do the show much good that the core cast only assembled from the third episode and then did 2 episode mini-arcs. Still, some of the episodes were good and I don't regret watching it. The music was definitely nice. A generous 6/10.

Don't forget to Hibikeep it real people.

Most of the time I was not 100% sure what was going on but I really liked this anime. The animation was very different but I kind of liked that. I, of course, cried at the end.
So they all knew each other as kids and that's how Chiaya knew their nicknames.

you know this show was alright i was hoping everything after the first 2 episodes would continue like that but it never really lived up to it at some points which is a shame because i really liked the visuals for the fights,

Rolling Girls never really took it self serious nor did it ever try to make any actual sense and even if it failed at trying to do something different there was some enjoyment to be found watching this so just about a 7/10

So in the end, Chiaya and her mom left earth.... but then, who's the new female alien president in the end that made Momiyama blush? And why didn't that white haired alien go with Chiaya and her mom? Oh well.

I enjoyed the first 9 (or 10) episodes. I liked the art, animation and music as well. 6/10

You thought my special anime eyes wouldn't notice the lazy animation and mismatching of lips between 10 and 11 minutes, didya Wit Studio?

-A pretty straightforward anime that unnecessarily distracts viewers with its over-the-top action.

-I couldn't care less about the main cast of characters because each arc focused on secondary characters and not really on the development on the main girls. The last arc may have been the only "good" example of how they should have done it throughout the season.

-Each arc also had very boring storytelling with a very cliche story progression.

-I guess I'm a sucker for good animation and art cuz that's why I stuck around for so long.

So what exactly were the stones? Some bullshit metaphor for our passions in life? Or is it actually some kind of alien material?

It was quite a fun ride. There's probably not much to the story but the pretty colors and over-the-top actions more than made up for it. It may seem incoherent at times but in the end everything fits in nicely, it'd probably be better to watch this in one go instead of having to wait every week.

There was barely any dull moment, the characters are likeable (immigration check point girl is the best!), and most of all I really enjoy the soundtracks. It's sad that Chihaya ended up going back home though.

7/10

PS: Momiyama is a lucky fat bastard! Always mingling with hot alien MILF, the new squid alien is even hotter than Chihaya's mom lol...

No, people gave out a shit ton of 10/10 for Shigatsu - now THAT would be the true reason why anime is becoming shittier (if it is...). I think anyting between 5-7 is a fair rating for this show and seeing how MAL scores are generally inflated, 8 is perfectly fine here as well.

Too bad there was no Linda Linda. Still, a good episode.

About the show:
This show was really entertaining. I loved the characters, I loved the music, I loved the crazy yet charming style, and in this season, this show was the one to which's episodes I was looking forward the most every week. Therefore, I have to give it a 8/10.

I don't even know why so many people compare it to Kill la Kill. It's pretty different than that.

Also, ANN reviewers can go f*** themselves.

I feel like setting a low score mostly because of the plot is wrong, because the plot was all over the place indeed. The visuals however was amazing IMO, the vibrant use of colors, the water painted backgrounds, blending really nicely with the color choice for the characters. The over-exaggerated explosions was definitely one of the moments i looked forward to every week, even if i rarely understood the meaning of the episode, it was still entertaining. All the characters seemed to end up fulfilling something, so there was some meaning to it.. it just.. first became really clear towards the end of this episode.

I enjoyed it
7/10.
