Welcome to my profile. How about you read Hinamatsuri?
Is it (the plural) 'anime' or 'animes'?
Nobody cares. Language is meant as a form of communication and as long as the meaning behind the words are conveyed clearly, doesn't matter what you use, especially when using weird foreign words which are not really part of the language.
Is fanservice bad?
No, lol. To quote C.S. Lewis: "When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly."
Same thing applies to fanservice. If all fanservice was banned from anime, it wouldn't really change anything with the current declining-birthrate situation in Japan. It's simply an element to make shows more enjoyable to a certain viewer group and while might appear crude and simplistic to some, ultimately, creating a good and satisfying fanservice scene in terms of production and animation requires enough effort and as long people can enjoy it, it should and must continue to exist.
Shows that I simply like a lot with some sort of personal connection to them and where I believe that the show did some things exactly the way I think is correct:
Sketchbook ~full colors~
Girls und Panzer (the whole series, but especially the movie)
B-Gata H Kei
Hayate no Gotoku S2
Onii-chan dakedo Ai sae areba kankei nai yo ne!
Shows that I like, but I don't have a urge to rewatch:
to be continued...
Shows that aren't my favs, but they still exceeded my expectations and I'd recommend them when talking about them:
Asobi ni Iku yo!
Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid
