| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Yusuke's Persona actually looks cool :o Shadow Madarame and his mind games bought a feeling of psychology to this episode. In particular, the painting of "Sayuri" is shown to further develop this drama. Damn it Madarame. The battle is pretty unusual but that's kinda what I expect from Persona. Good thing they managed to take care of him. |

| Well, a good chunk of this episode was them traversing the palace, and they covered quite a lot of puzzles/moments from the palace. And they've also created a convoluted plan, just to have stolen a fake treasure. Also, we get to find out who really created the original Sayuri and how it originally looked. Some new OSTs in this episode too, during Madarame's talk (I believe). Yusuke's laugh though XD I always found Madarame's boos design to be pretty cool. Even fight wise, it had a much different approach. The fight was handled differently in the anime than expected, but it still works. And now Madarame's heart has also been changed.  For now it seems like Yusuke will be staying over at Ren's place. Them eating reminds me if they're ever gonna make jokes on Yusuke being a broke artist who spends money on art stuff rather than food XD  Though, we get some focus on Ryuji and his family problems. And Ren told his story to Yusuke, which Ann probably heard too. But this was quite a nice episode, with a good amount of time being spent on the characters. No ED this episode, but the music playing in the background was something different. Yusuke decided to leave Sayuri at Cafe Leblanc, which is nice Also, Akechi makes an appearance after not making one for two episodes. Oh well, I guess his appearance here made more sense than it did in his previous scenes. This episode ends the arc. 16 episodes and 6 palaces, yikes. People complain about this anime rushing, but if anything, they're dragging quite a lot for a 24 episode series. Considering how the first ED shows only up to Makoto, I think they're gonna spend the last four episodes of the cour on the third palaces. Which basically leaves 12 episodes for 5 palace. Either Cloverworks will do the right thing and end this episode at the sixth palace, then have a second season of 12 episodes covering the rest, or they're just gonna rush during the second half. Hopefully it's the former than the latter. |

| So his treasure... is the lady's paint. Female student, his mother?? The one in real life has destroyed the baby part to show mysterious atmosphere. Many pictures separated in parts... His ink is scary. Successful in defeating him and he's admitting wrongdoing. The painter guy got that real paint as his treasure. lol @ him wanting to stay in ponytail's girl's house, but in the end he stays with main guy. The guardian doesn't mind. Getting to know each other and getting more close. He decided to stay in another place, though, and gave that paint to the cafe. Is it just me or ED song is different? |

| Great episode, still pretty fast but great nonetheless. I got so damn excited when 'Life Will Change' started playing, I wish they had let it run longer. XD They played 'Blooming Villain' as well which was awesome. The battle scene was pretty good, I was expecting them to have Yusuke do the Black paint thing. LEANAN SIDHE!!! I used Leanan Sidhe a lot for the second palace as well. She's a really good Persona, I kept her for a pretty long time. XD Why was there no ALL OUT ATTACK? I was hoping to see Fox's version. T.T Madarame has a change of heart now and Yusuke takes his treasure which was the original Sayuri painting. :) I've always loved the scene where Yusuke just causally says he's gonna be staying with Ann. xD Was Takemi present when they went back to Leblanc in the game as well? I don't recall correctly but I think this was an anime original touch. Yusuke welcoming/celebration party was great and the scene where Ryuji talks about his past was pretty emotional especially with 'Alleycat' playing. Everyone got to hear Ren's story as well. Yusuke leaves the Sayuri at Leblanc and it fits nicely on the wall. Considering that the next episode is titled Operation Maid Watch, we know what that means. Can't wait for Best Girl's awakening in 2 episodes. |

| The conclusion of Madarame arc. I kina enjoyed this more than the first one. I wasn't expecting to end in the first half of the episode, but damn were revealed some information about Yusuke's mom. Madarame was really a bad person, he deserves the worst. The action wasn't that all good, but oh well. Everyone chilling after the job, and the Phantom Thieves are getting more recognition. The ending was enjoyable with the paiting on the wall, Yusuke grew up during this arc. |

| That was a fun episode. Nice to see the Phantom Thieves have good chemistry with each other and in high spirits after taking care of Madarame. |
| Surprised that they had concluded Madarame’s battle in the first half of the episode, I thought they would drag it out longer, but all is well because the conclusion of the episode was a good cutting-off point. Animation is still meh when it ccame to action, but Madarame’s CGI model was better than Kamoshida’s, which is actually a compliment since Kamoshida’s wasn’t so bad. In some of the camera shots, the art was really sharp and felt sort of mysterious, like the close-ups of Yusuke’s face when he was talking to Madarame. But his evil laugh though, PRICELESS. Overall, another good episode of Persona 5 the Animation; it seems like with every episode, the series is slowly recovering from its rocky start. Madarame’s Arc was a world better than Kamoshida’s. Also, next episode... “Operation Maidwatch.” Here comes best girl Becky. |

| Madarame finally gets the calling card. But putting it all over the venue was appropriate for Madarame. Their plan to steal the treasure sure was certainly daring. Madarame setting a trap for them was unexpected. As if taking his pupils works and using them as his own isn't enough his non repentant attitude really makes him inhumane. The fight against Madarame sure was intense though. The four parts of the boss sure made things difficult. Using his own ink to paint over him though was pretty creative. Seeing Madarame admit to crimes though was worth it. Nice to see the team get new members and be united in their goals. |

| Pretty ok episode. The Madarame fight was pretty damn underwhelming given how ugly the frames and CG looked. But good thing it's gets resolved quick and he turns himself in. Now the PT have Yusuke as their new member and stays at the MC's house for a time being. am looking forward to the next ep. |

| Holly crap is this anime dull as hell. I'm not sure how to put it but it feels completely shallow. Even total garbage series at least have some weight to them, weight of shit filling them but still something. This feels more like an empty bag with scribbles on it... It doesn't feel like something that has been fucked up but something that has absolutely no reason to exist. |

| It was pretty nice to see this group strengthening their bond. Ryuji's backstory was kind of sad though. Also, that was a kind gesture from Yusuke, leaving Sayuri in the coffee shop. I'm glad they defeated Madarame so that he could get some closure. |

| I was looking forward to this little heart-to-heart they shared. Even though they went through unpleasant and traumatic memories, they're now a true team. I also got to relive the disappointment of Ren not getting to live together with Yusuke after all. |

| Not bad but not too engaging either. I guess if you're a fan of the videogame it might be fun to watch but of course unless it provides any further depth, which I don't think it does, I'm not sure what the point to that would be either. I still like the animation style. I think what's really lacking here is a bit more high-school drama or something along those lines. |

| It was a quick conclusion to Madarame's boos fight, but it went pretty well. The animation was consistently good, as was the art quality and Madarame's CGI detail, like with Kamoshidas, looked good and is better than the game's 3D model. That won't be good enough for others, just like a certain user a few posts above, but it's fine with me though. =) The second half of the episode with the whole group having a good talk over a hotpot felt relaxing and the same goes for when Ryuji and Ren spoke about their past woes to Yusuke, Morgana and an awake Ann. Being honest about their faults and speaking about their pasts to their friends does help them trust each other more, thus making the increasing Phantom Thieves even stronger. The way I worded that sentence does sound cheesy, admittedly. ^^; It was a nice touch to hear a different ending song from Lyn as Yusuke leaves Sayuri at LeBlanc, hanging on the wall. |

That was a really sweet episode... Especially toward the end, with everybody commiserating and sharing their stories. And Yusuke leaving behind 'Sayuri' was the icing on the cake. |

Solid episode, adapted things I thought would have been skipped when I saw the previous episode. Also good animation overall, I'm just still a bit worried with this pacing being a bit too well paced right now for the amount of content they are yet to cover in these 24 episodes. My prediction from 2 threads ago was more or less spot on though, I wonder if things are going to be okay (they DID planned this anime's structure far before they even announced it after all, I hope the result is as good as we have been getting... Except the most of the battles' overall content thus far. That's something I hope they get better, at least in the BluRays). |

| Really nice episode. Action is just alright, but action is not really what Persona is about. It's those little character moments that are important. They didn't use an AOA in these last 2 episodes, I guess they realized they looked bad? I wanna know what was the song at the end. Next: Operation Maidwatch lol. I guess next week will be just SOL stuff, which is nice. If they ended this 24-episode run post-6th Palace and finished with another 12-episode season, it'd be amazing, but it's a little too good to be true, honestly. |

| I knew that bastard Madarame wasn't in a slump at all, he just plagiarized 'his' best work like all the other art. Not really much of a fight (not enough deadly punches thrown to that scumbag) but the group talking about their past while dining on some good food was nice. |

| This was a great conclusion to the Madarame arc! His CG model didn't look as out of place as Kamoshida's did either! The direction with Yusuke leaving the painting at LeBlanc at the end was really well-done too! One little nitpick - Joker's VA pronounced Leanan Sidhe incorrectly. I am pretty sure he said something like "sid-hey" or "she'd-hey", but it's really just "shee". That's true for Cait Sith from FF7 too. Lots of mispronunciation with Irish words! |
