| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Good episode overall, a lot of darker themes with the setting. What I like about this is how the episode really made the rivalry with revenge and hate themes. The violence is realistic too although I think it gave a good insight about the setting. The era has a good amount of focus about the characters in particular rivalries. |

| Pretty good so far. The world is very realistic, and the MC is cool af. The art could be more consistent, but good first episode. |

| Interesting, that's all i can say. It's pretty much what i expected from this. I'm not one that likes full blown mafia plots, but maybe this will be a good one. |

| Considering it's just got Drama in it, still I hold my breath for a second there when they trying to kill Angelo's parent. And now Angelo's become a "strong" person thanks to that experience he got since little. And that "action" with the Mafia at the Church (or maybe bar?) surely awesome. |

| Prohibition era huh? Can't go wrong the moonshine, hopefully they also show nascar. Good start, sad about the mother and sister. Wonder how far into the future the first scene was in comparatively. Also seems like the friend is going to die. |

| That was an amazing first episode..one of my favorites this season most definitely. This show oozez potential and OST is also on point. Very rare we get to see a mafia/prohibition era anime and I hope this won't be another Joker Game. |
| Even though it was expected, it was really sad to see what happened to the MC's family. I'm really liking the setting and atmosphere of this show so far. I think this will be one of the more promising titles of the season, so I'm excited to see more of this revenge story. |

| This episode blew me away, I had incredibly low expectations but this seems to be a much more well executed version of Joker Game. But the real showstopper was the soundtrack, beyond incredible, not even on of the best of the season, but of the past few years. Hopefully it can maintain it's momentum, so far this is my AOTS. |

| Exactly want I wanted to see from this series. Killer style, tone, setting, and music. The main character is definitely interesting and I can't wait to see what happens next. Potential AOTS. If I can get something close to Baccano, I'll be insanely happy :D 5/5 |

| Pretty good and promising episode. So it's in 20th century and prohibition era. And there's like mafia and rivalries and selling booze. And did a nice job on laying the atmosphere. So far i think it introduced us to 2 families if I'm not mistaken. I wonder which one killed the MC's family. |

| It was ok I guess. I'm not really into the whole Mafia thing, but I wanted to give this a shot. I can see why people like this, but so far it's not my cup of tea. Will give it 2 more episodes before I drop it |

| I loved it! Probably my favourite first episode of the summer season, I hope it keeps going like this. It felt really western and well, non-anime like though, with the credits and stuff instead of a regular OP and ED. I guess that's what they were going for. |
| Overall, it's been a very good first episode. Some dark themes were touched, it will have some violence and I hope a good mystery line, but for now let's just leave it there. Everything about the animation and music seems to be on a acceptable level so far which makes this a promising story. |

I think what it was was that the father was with one family, but then Vanetti (the father) killed the Don and took over. Angelo's dad was basically part of an old regime that was in the midst of a coup, which isn't good for him. And whatever he was doing, it looked like he did very well for himself, especially in comparison to where Corelo lived. So the dad must have been in pretty close with the previous don. The Orco's seem to be the rival family of either regime. |
| Hoo boy, now that is how you establish a defining tone from the onset. I have a feeling Avilio's character might be the one thing that ends up bringing the series down for a lot of people. First hint was in the way he strong-armed Corteo for his own gain. I just hope that if he ends up deserving to crash and burn, it happens in a glorious way. Nero, on the hand, seems very likable. He looked cooler with the beard though lol |

| Now that was a great episode, and despite the amount of content in it, it seemed well paced. And I always like the old time era themed stuff. This definitely has the potential to be my favorite this season so I hope it's consistently good throughout. |

| Looks like we have a potential AOTS on our hands here, as this has by far been the best premiere I've seen so far this season. Very intrigued to see where this ends up going. Also, was the song at the end actually the ED or was it something else? |

| One of the best first episodes of the season so far. The atmosphere, OST and tone of the series really capted the mafia movies feeling. The fight in the bar was cool. Looking forward this, because this looks promising. Hope it doesn't ends like Gangsta (probably not). |

| I loved it . I think it will definitely be one of my tops for this season .And I'm getting those Joker game vibes which makes it even better . The animation was really good too . Also MC with a psychotic smile ? Hell Yes ! |

| Pretty decent start, They've captured the mafia setting quite well. Sad to see what happened to the MC's family. The bar fight was cool, Pretty cool of the guy to quickly use the chemicals at hand to ignite the alcohol. Angelo seems like an interesting character and that smirk portrayed him in a more psychotic manner. He also seems to be fairly skilled at close combat. Let's see where this story goes. |
