| Great intro episode. Opening theme is cute but doesn't seem to fit at all (it's about romantic love) lol. Tsumugi seiyuu is perfect. I have a feeling I'll have to eat before watching this every week lol That's how we roll in Asia...rice is amazing. Though, it seemed to take her a really long time to make it lol. Girl needs to buy a rice cooker |

| Like many here, I almost wanted to cry during this first episode. It's so touching. I found it about people who just want to be spend time with each other. The Tsugumi lover her family but wants good home-cooked meals for once and the student who wants to spend time with a family. Each side will fulfill each others needs. |

| rather than being relaxing like barakamon, this episode is more emotional to me. just a single flashback showing the time when his wife was still alive almost made me cry. what happen to my eyes if i saw the epsiode where he tried to tell his daughter that her mother died ? this anime would probably gonna made me cried like a babys. i need to prepare some tissue ASAP lol. overall, it was a great episode although i was expecting a great op and ed song like barakamon has but well, i like the songs in this show too xD especially the ed song. "Did you poop?" "It went back up" i fucking LMAO at that scene seriously xD looking foward for the next episode. |

| Am I the only one weirded out by them just digging into a bowl of plain rice like it's the greatest meal in the world? Rice by itself is nothing. Rice only becomes amazing when paired with great side dishes or toppings. ....these niggas must have been eating some bad shit up til now if they dig into plain white rice with such gusto. |

| This was an unexpected and thoroughly positive surprise. As a person that hasn't read the manga, I really hope they won't screw up the story and execution because the first episode was a very strong start to the series. Also, to all the people who find it strange - well prepared rice is super delicious even by itself :D |

| Goodness, Tsumugi is the most precious child I've seen in anime so far... and I've seen a shitload of anime. I had a smile on my face throughout the entirety of the episode. Also, calling it now; ED is best song of season. |

| Great first episode. The feels are real. I lost my mother a little while back so it hit me right in that spot. I can relate to both of them. Especially because I've watched my dad struggle with similar things . Definitely making my list for the season. |

| Meh. Didn't hate it, didn't leave a serious impression either. The daughter was teetering between kind of cute and annoying moppet. I don't care about the Dad or his dead wife. I think this show's biggest potential lies in his student who works at the restaurant she was actually ridiculously cute. And the poster, OP and ED seem to suggest she'll be a regular. |

Some people said that there are some romance. Even it would be possible, i rather think that's not about "love him as man" instead "love him as father" since the parents of the girl are divorced - in that picture it looks like she is jealous. Let's see what will happen :) Didn't read Manga/LN. |

| It's pretty rare to find an anime that immediately clicks with me like this. I was just expecting some fun, relaxing slice-of-life about a dude with a kid, and instead teared up twice in the first episode. Honestly, if it keeps things up for the whole twelve episodes, I could very well see this becoming my favourite anime of the past few years. |

| Tsumugi! Great voices and the cast is likable! Love the bond between the characters. Sad backstory. Has pretty emotional and touching moments too. Nice OP and love the ED. Ost is nice as well. Great art style and portrays the characters' emotions well |
| God, that was fucking good. It pulled my heart strings and it was only the first episode. Very touching. Seems pretty realistic with the plot and characters. I was hoping this wouldn't turn out like Barakamon and I'm glad it didn't. |

| Damn, probably the best first episode I've seen this season yet. Kouhei is a good dude, it seems like he has a hard time to be a single parent, but I guess Kotori is going to make some positive changes in his life from now on. And of course Tsumugi is WAY too adorable to handle, she definitely deserves a good dinner from time to time. Animation was quite good, seiyuus making a good job and the ending song was catchy. Can't wait for more |

| thank god I found a show this season that's gonna keep me sane week after week.. the FEELS are tingling on this episode.. already teared up a little.. wonder which direction the show will take at end?? lighthearted comedy or tearjerker?? but still love the atmosphere of the show so far, feels like Usagi Drop one more time!! =) and, Tsumugi = YANG!! OMG!! fanarts of this will definitely come, mark my workds.. XD |
