| Let's run away together, Hide. The awkward arguments in the shop between Mika and Yuu really conveyed that sense of brotherhood they have. Although I wish they'd tone it down with the whole "family" thing, I can't even count how many times they use that word each episode. Still, it was a fairly emotional episode overall. With only two episodes left, I'm questioning how they plan to end this when it seems like there's still so much up in the air (some of it literally being). |

It's easy to notice Mika's affection for Yuu since he's the only loved one that Mika's got, while Yuu has his teammates and Guren too. However, when someone who absolutely hates being treated like a blood bag and having his blood sucked by a vampire, offers his blood willingly to a vampire, you'd have to admit that that's some heavy love there, platonic or not. Heck, in the manga itself, Yuu is thankful to Krul and expresses his willingness to trust her, the leader of his sworn enemies, just because she saved Mika. |
| Shiho's sister is that experimental subject!? Kureto you bastard. A very touching and rather affectionate episode. At last they were able to have time to catch up, though it was unfortunate that Mika ultimately had to surrender to his thirst and become a vampire. But hey, family is family regardless of the form that the individual members may take. I wonder how often vampires need to drink, since if Mika and Yuu were to run away and live isolated from all of this, then could he really survive only off of Yuu's blood and will that even be enough? |

| TBH this episode was seriously cringey at some points, but it was so sweet seeing Yuu and Mika truly reunited I can let the cringe slide. The vampire kiss scene was so gay I swear. OMFG KIMIZUKI'S SISTER IS THE TEST SUBJECT?!?!?!?! 100% sure Kureto is the sole source of corruption Mika is warning Yuu about. |

Kureto instantly became the biggest asshole in the show. Great episode. It had a bit of tonal whiplash, but I loved their reunion. 8.5/10 |

| Finally reunited & Mika has a change of heart to save & help the people dear to Yuu. Does he realise that Guren is the guy that he fought previously loooololllllll. They did the scene where Mika was refusing to drink Yuu’s blood really well. So much tension!!!! I like how they were bickering even before that lol dying Mika still had it in him to fight like an old couple with his Yuu-chan. So he would stop aging once he drinks human blood, that explains why he still aged & the other vamps wouldn’t. Those red eyes ♡______♡ Still so many questions unanswered. | I liked this episode. At least Yuu was Mika's first victim so it was the best outcome. Wow the humans in charge are just as bad as the vampires, Kimizuki joined the army to save his sister, but this is what happened. I really want to see his reaction, I wouldn't mind all 5 of them running away from both the vampires and the humans. |

| Not that anyone's going to read this, but I cannot help but think that Fairy Tail did this much better. I'm talking about the family thing. I mean, here, you've got Guren who uses his family members. He does care about them, but the extent to which it applies is weird. Then, you've got Yu saying that Guren is family and that he doesn't care that he's using him. But later in this episode, we see Yu telling Mika that he can trust his friends. From what we've seen, yeah, he can trust those 4. However, can he trust Guren? Huge doubt. Then, the show also says that Guren is his family by coincidence (pretty much), and that it's fine if he's just using him. Which doesn't really seem to be a good message about family. Ask anyone. I understand that this can be built on. I don't expect the series to, though. If I'm wrong, then yeah, this concept is well executed. |
| This anime would be greatly improved if Mika never existed, especially since Yuu's character takes a pitfall by mere association. Every scene he's in becomes just as shallow as he is by extension, retreading the same old ground over and over again. It's like watching two street cats screaming at each other. It's telling that the rest of the characters can have fairly normal and grounded interactions with Yuu that convey both friendship and/or some degree of rivalry, while Mika's interactions purely consist of him being a melodromatic possessive idiot who treats Yuu like some prop that only he can be friends with, as if he's just some expensive jewelry. A quantifiably useless character with zero depth or development over two separate seasons. I have no idea why Yuu was unconscious for that long either. He was perfectly fine before being sealed in the coffin, which isn't even intended to damage whoever it captures. |
