No, it's sempais are scarying kouhais with 7 mysteries (I can only recognize Beethoven soul and headless player, though everyone's revealed later), except for that girl soul.... Wow, Mikasa's cold explanation is deep. Summer festival next. Seiyuu corner with free kick in gym. |

| Lol at everyone turning into their regular anime forms when they got scared. And Erwin's "what do you see?" pardoy scenes and him screaming like they were about to charge were kinda funny as well. Also, did anyone else think of Akashi from Kuroko when they showed Levi dribbling his head? The jersey looked kind of similar as well. |

| This was a funny episode. Loved how their faces changed into the orignal art style. Christa is adorable. Can't blame the ghost for wanting to comfort her. Reiner and Berthold were going up those stairs for ages. Not a single fuck was given by Mikasa during this whole episode. |

| Those facial expressions when they were scared and reverted back to the original art design was great. Mikasa and Levi didn't gaf this episode lol. Hmmm looks like another season 2 tease with the girl in the white dress appearing. Best episode so far. |

It think you should edit out that part that I did not include in your quote since people would be looking out for it uncounciously for anything that seems to hint to something of that nature. Agree, best episode so far. |
| This episode felt like a huge missed opportunity for Eren, as they failed to accurately parody his character here. In fact, they did the exact opposite. If a test of courage isn't the time to showcase Eren's personality, then what is? And why rewrite it into something so terribly lame instead? That is not how you parody someone. When they said it was a test of courage, I immediately imagined Eren being completely unfazed, and even brashly deciding that this would be his opportunity to teach the upperclassmen a lesson. Then he takes it upon himself to be the one scaring them. Imagine, for example: Eren figures out where the upperclassmen are and waits outside the doorway until one of them comes out. He does something incredibly startling to scare the hell out of them, and they're so scared that they faint and fall to the ground. The other upperclassmen run over to see what happened, and all they see is his frightening expression as the door creaks closed.  The upperclassmen are all scared, but one brave soul rushes out immediately to stop him. Unfortunately for them, Eren is lying in wait with his next scary thing, which is attached to the end of a long pole he thrusts out at them. They too faint from being so overwhelmingly startled. It would have been a nice parody of that event from the series, and accurately portrayed Eren's personality in the process. They could have continued the parody of the scene as well, bringing Mikasa into it and everything. There was so much potential here, and I'm disappointed that they missed it and instead made the bravest/brashest/most indomitable character a whimpering crybaby who is the first to run away (even before Armin) and leaves his friends to fend for themselves at every sign of trouble. It runs completely counter to every aspect of Eren's personality, which makes it the opposite of being a successful parody. |
