| 1. What anime was a chore for you to complete? (If there are several, post the most boring/long one). Shijou Saikyou no Daimaou, Murabito A ni Tensei suru (it was so f-ing annoying. It grated on my nerves, but I was determined to finish it because I'm an idiot) 2. Among the anime characters you discovered this year, who is your favorite? Chainsaw Man right now is a 5/10 for me with the possibility of maybe a 6 if it somehow gets better (but I don't get the hype at the moment). Spy x Family is a 6/10 and although I haven't seen part 2 yet, the first part was cute. 4. Are you hopeful about the future of the anime industry? I'm still waiting for second and/or third seasons of amazing series all the while crappy series get sequels so no. 5. Do you like recent MAL changes? No opinion really. 6. If you could add one anime to your country's school curriculum, which would it be? Sora yori mo Tooi Basho 7. How do you rate anime? I use the full 10 rating scale with 5 being average. I also base on more than just enjoyment, because the need to properly organize my list drove me nuts until I implemented my own rating system that makes me happy. I rate plot, plot progression, characters, character growth, animation, enjoyment, sound quality (more voice work one the sound quality then OST, because Black Clover is an example of an annoying VA that made me switch to English dub because I couldn't stand his screeching). Also, character play a huge role in my ratings, just FYI. If I hate a main character then chances are I probably rate the series low because it affects my overall enjoyment. And I'm generally annoyed at the character the whole time. 8. What's the anime you anticipate the most? The anime for The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion. It's based on a finished manhwa so hopefully it gets adapted well, but who knows. Donghua wise I'm looking forward to the second seasons for Heaven Official's Blessing and Scumbag System (by the same creator who also wrote Mo Dao Zu Shi which is a personal favorite). 9. Who is the MAL user you like the most? Don't know. 10. What's your favorite anime you watched this year? Sasaki to Miyano. It was just tooth-rottingly adorable and I loved every second of it. 11. Do you still enjoy watching anime as much as you did back when you just started? I was obsessed when I first got into anime to the point where reading fell more into the backround. I read more then I watch now days. And I'm a quite a bit pickier then I used to be. 12. Who is your favorite chocolate-skinned character? Abiriga from Shoukoku no Altair is the first one that comes to mind so I choose him lol. 13. If you play video-games, what's your main platform? (PC, Console, mobile, etc). I don't play many games. If I do it's on my laptop so... 14. Do you read books? Which is your favorite one? Yes. Too many books. I don't have a set favorite book. I'm a sucker for the Cut and Run series by Abigail Roux (it's a BL series about 2 FBI agents that get into so much crap and the evolution of their relationship as temporary somewhat toxic FBI partners due to one being a recovering addict and one balls to the wall former Special Ops Marine and them becoming real partners not just as FBI partners, but as actual partners and all the ups and downs of their relationship as they go through one death defying adventure after another. I've specific books that I like to re-read the most and I avoid re-reading the first book because I actually almost dropped the series because I didn't care for it and it's literally the only book in the series that I outright don't like because man were they toxic in the beginning, but it got better at the end and my curiosity got me to buy the second book which pulled me into the series as a whole). I'm also a big fan of Jane Austin and have a particular love of Persuasion and Pride and Prejudice (though I'm not fan AT ALL of Sense and Sensibility and Emma is literally the only book of hers that I can't get through. I tried. Since I was 14. I can't do it). Northanger Abbey has always been the most interesting of Jane Austin's book, imo, though since its so very different from her normal style and is done in like classic gothic style and I thought that was so cool the first time I read it lol. I also used to really love Jane Eyre, and while I still do, I have little respect for Charlotte Bronte as she's the reason her sister Anne is the least known of the sisters due to her refusing to put The Tenant of Wildfell Hall through re-publication because she thought it was inappropriate material because it's about a woman who flees from her abusive husband. Anne was ahead of her time and I have to give her mad respect for that. Like, I get that this was the mid-1800's, but Anne was proud enough of her book to get it published and it had a successful first publication enough that they wanted to re-print it and what right did Charlotte have to REFUSE that since her sister was deceased! Sorry, rant over. It's a sore spot. 15. Vanilla, yuri or yaoi - what's more to your liking? Yaoi. But one more on the shounen-ai line and with a healthier relationship like Given or Sasaki to Miyano. 16. Is there a doujinshi you'd like to see animated? ... it's been ages since I read a doujinshi and quite frankly have no memory of those I have read lol so that'd be no. 17. Don't own any. I mean, I have a Nyanko~sensei plushie that I adore, but I'm sure that's not what you mean. 19. Did anime make you appreciate real world more or less? Less. Fictional worlds and people are more interesting. Real people suck. Most of the time. Like 80% of the time (maybe 90% depending on the day). 20. I have health issues so haven't worked in almost 3 years. I spend the vast majority of my time bed bound because I simply don't have the energy to get up or I hurt to much to get up, so what real life responsibilities are we speaking of? I do drag myself into the kitchen to cook at least 4-5x a week since that makes me feel useful even if I'm running on empty and have to sit down to prep the food. I also have doctors appointments which include acupuncture twice a month for my Trigeminal Neuralgia. I watch anime and read in between sleeping a whole helluva lot (unless I'm suffering from insomnia then I play slot games online because for some dumb reason that often makes me conk out). 22. Does your spouse/SO watch anime? If you're single and interested in getting into a relationship, would you rather your partner love anime or not? I'm single and, honestly, I wouldn't care if my partner loved anime or not. I'd have more issues if he/she/they (I'm pan) didn't like to read. Reading is my first love so that'd be hard to get passed. 23. What's your opinion on cosplay? My cousin has been addicted to cosplay since she was a teen and makes all her own costumes. It looks fun. But I'd be too uncomfortable. But more power to those that enjoy it. 24. Which anime are you going to show to your kids? Don't plan to have kids. I'm 35, anyway, but I occasionally watch my sisters 4 kids and that's enough for me. I can be a fun aunt and then send them home and get peace and quiet. Kids are loud. And messy. I like my quiet. I kinda put Beyblade V-Force (season 2 of original Beyblade) on hold since it was a fuckin chore to watch. Its only 20 eps and it's only around 14 min per ep but its so fucking awful. I still have 5 eps I need to watch but I cannot bring myself to do it right now. I like Cute Girls Doing Cute Things Anime, but these were some of the bad ones for moi. 2. Among the anime characters you discovered this year, who is your favorite? Hiyori Shiina. I knew her looks from long ago, but I didn't think I would find her this interesting. If I am to state a favorite, then it's probably Anya from Spy X Family...
