Elfen Lied takes the cake for me. Almost every episode is a blood bath.
My waifu is the most wonderful waifu. Mai Valentine.

We're freaking out that we're running out of time, but to do what? Should i stop and think of that? Is there something i could do to slow it down? Live in a day for once, instead of watch it sprinting by

Recently watched Blood-C , last episode was something straight from the hell🤣

But if you ask me a gory anime which I enjoyed the most then it will be Baki (2018). Tons of characters beating each other in most brutal ways possible

I actually avoid watching gory anime if i know about it beforehand, but since i saw these on TV a long time ago and didn't research about them, well, these are definitely the goriest anime i saw:

Afro Samurai & Blood+

If only completed anime count, then maybe....:

D.Gray-man Hallow & Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Yes, i told you i don't watch gory anime lol, these both have frequent blood and gore so they are the most fitting out of what i watched, others while they have lots of blood but no gore so i don't think they would count.)

Honorable mentions: Owari no Seraph (While it has gore in the beginning, as the anime went on, it fizzled out) 91 Days (While the gore was mostly just implied, the actual implications were worse enough that it made me nauseous.)

Jojo.

When the Arknights Anime comes out tho watch out. Maybe not this first season but it gets messed up. I’ve seen a lot of People talk about how they have thrown up reading Arknights. If Yostar animates it fully (which I’m fairly certain they will), well… don’t blame me.

Could anyone give me suggestions of such animes please.

I have to agree Blood-C was probably the most "recently released" modern Animes I have ever seen that was graphic enough to be considered bloody and gory.

I have seen many extremely graphic Anime titles in my life but that one scene in Blood-C where a monster rips a school girl in half by her legs then eats her will be etched in my mind forever. There was no attempt to try to sugar coat any scenes in Blood-C, not even implied moments of gore.

I still think majority of the gore in anime is boring af. Pretty sad considering how amazing gore scenes Japanese horror comics and movies have.

While I don’t know much about other Japanese media, only anime, I 100% agree. Like I don’t understand how Demon Slayer is rated R for violence when it’s blood is just red liquid. Ya, it has a lot of disturbing images (Ok, maybe not a whole lot, and varying levels of disturbing-ness; it’s not that bad.), but freaking the show doesn’t even animate the actual muscles, bones, and tendons.

That’s why JoJo is so gooooood. It shows all those muscles, bones, and tendons drooping out of people (and animals like dogs!!!) smashed and sliced faces. Freaking eyes getting squashed and eaten. People fingering neck cords that if snapped kill you instantly. It is glorious and gorious!

Didn't even know kny has so high age rating. Seems unnecessary. But proves to me back in the days people clearly didn't give a shit what's the content if it is just animation then it is ok for kids. Ginga nagareboshi Gin from the 80's is rated PG (according to mal) and one of the episodes has a dog committing suicide and killing his cannibal enemy at the same time by getting pierced by wooden spears. Stuff I watched in my childhood really wouldn't pass today's requirements.

If you like live action horror movies J-horror has great titles. Even cheap af porn film Tumbling doll of flesh has more interesting torture/gore scene than anime. And cult classic would be Guinea Pig film series, they're still to my knowledge unavailable to buy in Japan due to getting mixed in Otaku serial killer case by the media. First movie did cause me a bit sickness due to my hemophobia so I needed to pause it, but Guinea Pig 5 is so creative in its gore. If you like reading manga I highly recommend Franken Fran, as it combines body horror so well with medicine and biology. I just love that series and its humor and characters, such a fresh take on mad scientist trope.

Oh yeah Jojo has some really fun gory scenes, especially ones involving animals. But it isn't that surprising considering Araki Hirohiko loves horror movies and references them time to time in Jojo. Cronenberg director and Bram Stroker's Dracula being obvious ones.

Some anime do have their bloody and gory scenes, but Genocyber should be the undisputed king of gory anime. It's not necessarily an amazing one, but it most definitely is the goriest I have ever seen so far.
There are entrails, face-ripping, eyeballs, brain matter, and exposed organs. Nothing has ever come close to this level of violence (that I have seen).
