| Don't even mind the fanservice, I'm really glad that they showed Rudy's past more than for "shits and giggles", but for the psychological aspect that lead to his trauma. Roxy is awesome, I hope we get to see more of her soon. I'm enjoying this anime A LOT! |

| this episode revealed a lot of things from me that I'm not aware of. I actually fapped a lot of times just for seeing one brief masturbation scene from her. which first of all surprised me since I never do this to any one character ever. that includes hentai or even visual novel. and the reason for that surprised me further. she's not some legendary wizard or anything, but she's kindhearted and just all around appealing to the many people over there. that meekness(?) is what skyrocketed her (sexual) value. which only proved further by the farewell scene. considering the setting, she's not some modern wamam that will cry raep or just metoo the living shit out of you. the very possibility that you can have your way to her and she'd resist very little, THAT just turned me so much. it's not the scene itself that made me fap so much from her. it's the setting and her as the character. | I see some individuals are being quick to call this "another generic, self-insert isekai", but the generic self-inserts they talk about are the isekai where you get reincarnated in another world, BUT their past life has next to no relevance. In stark contrast, the mc of this series not only has a trauma from his past-life that haunts him even after being reborn, but he also keeps his behaviorisms and thought-processes that make him unique. Its only episode 2, so I'm not trying to say "this is an anime that will redefine the medium for years to come" or other overly presumptuous shite, in these two episodes the anime is doing a lot right, at least in regards to the core principles of how to tell an engaging story. |

| I think that the difference between this anime and other reincarnation animes is that it will relate to past lives and pay attention to how to live again in the new world under the thinking of past lives. By contrast, The slime is just two roles before and after his reincarnation, resulting in a heavy sense of separation. |

| This is getting better & better. The dynamic between Rudy's physical & mental ages made for a fun premise, but it's really starting to take on depths that exceeded expectation. While Roxy & the others think they're helping a young boy with trifling worries grow, he's overcoming a lifetime of trauma & poor lifestyle choices. |

| Excellent episode, that not only showcase just a bit of Rudeus' past life's problems to a minor degree that traumatized him so badly then (while foreshadowing some feelings for the future), but also showcased his growth as a mage as he took lessons under Roxy's wing, and even managed to graduate from her when he learned all that he could from her. Roxy's a terrific mage but she's still got her own growing to do as well, and seeing how Rudeus at such a young age is already a blooming mage that could grow to be one of the strongest in the future, she's got to not stagnate her ownself while continuing to enjoy her own journey of life with her continued explorations. The bond as well between teacher and student really blossomed too overall into something beautiful to watch, hell even Rudeus' parents were really sad about her leaving them after she stayed with them for quite some time. This show has such good pacing to it, and respects the progress of the long-term journey overall with never feeling stagnant, but also never rushing itself to success. It's a treat to see Rudeus' journey and second opportunity of life with him growing his skills from such a young age, making him work his ass off from early itself to be damn powerful and not just gifted with all the abilities in the world. No convoluted twists either. Such a good isekai now. And I hadn't even mentioned how great the visuals (from the magic itself to the character movements themselves throughout the episode) were along with the music too. |

| Ah Episode 2, on the 2nd time that I watch it, it made me cry...fantastic. Once again, watching this now is much more better, and at this 2nd watch, there's one reason why, the relationship between Roxy and Rudy. I realize just how much their relationship developed in just this episode. Though they may have a good time as a teacher and as a student, deep inside Roxy realized that she's not good with Rudy, and is slowly severing his ties with him. And now seeing it all again, it makes much more sense. I was filled with hype the last time around, but now I'm filled with bittersweet feelings as we see Roxy finally say goodbye to Rudy. That was pretty sad, and it made me cry a little. But one last thing, I also just realized that Rudy is actually YOUNG in these first few episodes. He's actually 3 when he met Roxy, and at the end of Episode 2, he's 5 yrs old. WTF how did it only crossed my mind just now, I'm way too filled with hype back in January. |
