Welcome back, Appare-Ranman! from the Covid situation.

To prove that she is up to the challenge, Jing faces an uphill battle, of sexism and pure skill of race driving, even from the same team. Man, does she just not get enough rest over this issue. And as for help, only Appare would do as the amaeturish technician, but winning over the trust of one of the big sponsors Al Lyon and the BNW team from Episode 3 truly gives them an edge.

The race face-off against David and Jing to show the typical "Who's superior, and the winner wins all while the loser loses all" mentality. I dig Appare's driving image with Jing, because even though it's imagination, it feels as if it's the real thing.

Calm down, Kosame, being 1st doesn't guarantee winning always. A good, well-modified engine on the technician's part and use-of-balance check on the driver's part is the key to winning a race. It all depends on the driver's usage as the final straw of determining who's the victor in a race of twists and turns.

Even with foul play on David's part, it just goes to show how much Jing has learned her balance with her own racecar. It's nice that her manager has seen the renewal of interest and skill in her, and along with the others, reconciliation to pursue forward.

In the coporation space, things are getting awry, and one of the Big 3 (GM) is getting cold feet about the Trans-America race and its implications to other sponsors. Only 10 days before the race starts, and everyone is gearing up with strategies of their own. The key to publicity isn't the media, but by profession.

Can't say I've missed this series, but it is nice to have it back.

This series is back after 3 months, this was long wait.

A pretty good episode to continue the series, while this race wasn't exciting it was logical and made me like Xialian even more. Thou too bad she lost the race but she was recognized and even got a car so it was still a fine outcome for her.

Seems like my Appare/Kosame ship doesn't sail yet

What is Iron car company in real life? I can only think of Ford, because their full name are both end with "Motor Company".

Racing is a dirty and dangerous world

Got that right.

I appreciate the mechanics of this show honestly. They make the cars look flashy and with a sense that every one of them is unique and special. The drivers of course had their diverse personalities. I also like the attitude of this show and Xia Lian Jing feels like a character worth investing time into watching.

Glad to see this is back.

It's nice to have this show back, honestly!

Xia Ling may have lost the battle but she won the war. Yikes, that was dirty from the opponent. Supporting mechs quickly changing positions from "show a man's worth" to "support the woman now" was kind of funny though, I must say.

A true racer, I like the sound of that. It was nice to have mechanics info dump on the match-up from the BNW-lad.

Looks like we're going to be seeing bad-news criminals taking part in the race too, how very interesting. Xia Ling's pose in the newspaper was certainly one of a kind, xD. Appare's masterpiece about to be unveiled was a pretty cool way to sign off, and I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store for us next!

Super glad to see that Appare is back!

The race between David and Ling had me on the edge of my seat. I really appreciated how there were actual reasons for her having the upper hand. You can really tell that the creators of this show are putting a lot of thought into it (Or research)

Felt like I was genuinely there in the moment during that race. I dont think ive been that invested in a battle (of sorts) in a while.

Cant wait for next weeks episode

I'm so glad Appare-Ranman is back! I've missed this anime; it's just such a fun and interesting show to watch. I'm getting hyped for the big race as more of the competitors are revealed!

I thought it was a great choice on the writer's behalf for Xialian not to win the race against David because it felt more realistic. I also liked the message that even though she didn't win the race, she didn't lose to that asshole!

I was amused by the lack of security of the whole racecourse : nothing to avoid pilots from falling into water, nothing to protect them from the rocks etc. Well these are only details, the episode itself was enjoyable with another race including different challengers from the previous episodes

yayyyyyy finally Appare has returned and yet another great episode. Really loved the details mentioned like racing line and tyre wear. Glad this show seems to be a bit more serious in that regard rather than just crazy cross country driving

Looks like BMW, Ford and GM are the big 3 competing in the race, but also seems like there are some more outside scenes going on lol.

that kinda shit was the norm back then lul. If you look at like Rallying for instance there were crowds of people literally parting away from the fast approaching car at like the last second.

Oh it's back wtf took it so long????????

Ya know with all this black lives matter thing I kinda feel for Xia Ling for being a girl and being Chinese in 1910 US, must've been very hard especially when such prejudiced exist during that time

Appare is finally back and oh my lord I am already nerdgasping here...

Ling finally got the recognition she deserves! Her facing off to David was pretty cool! I needed this a few months back, but I am just glad this is finally back!

I couldn't agree more, was great to see them explain all these details that comes with racing. Even the dirty air and optimal tyre grip. Just great! I love it!

Appare-Ranman! returns to regular broadcast with yet another fine episode! I'm not exactly this show's biggest fan but it's nice to have it back. This episode showcases the dirty reality of sexism, as Xia Lian attempts to prove her worth as a racer, and as the day of the big race draws near, the stakes keep increasing and characters show their reasons to participate in such a big event. This is shaping up to be one of the finest shows of the season and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Welcome back, Appare-Ranman! ^_^

After 3 months away, it was pretty easy to get back into the groove of what this series has to offer and it got right into Xialian's struggle to prove herself to her employer and her colleagues around her. As this was around the turn of the 20th Century, sexism was very commonplace, so she had to deal with a lot of constant remarks and was constantly mocked at for her goal.

With the help of Appare, Kosame and, mainly, Al's team of mechanics, Xialian took on David in a battle of the sexes in a 10-lap race around the speedway track.

It's good to see what the whole track looks like and it has plenty of tight corners, which puts the racers close to rocky walls and alongside a lake which has no barriers to stop anyone from crashing into it.

This, of course, was very common in racing back 80-90 years ago where cars would race with little care about safety whatsoever. The cars themselves would not only have the less effective drum brakes, but in some cases, they would only have brakes in the rear wheels. They're pretty much death traps on wheels going at over 100+mph back then.

Another thing that I liked about during the race was that both Al and Xialian's boss got into a good explanation about things that effect racers during the race, like dirty air when you follow a car closely from behind, to tyre wear, which hurts your ability to brake, accelerate and have less grip to get around corners effectively. As someone who loves motorsport in general and also plays a lot of Forza outside of anime, I do applaud P.A Works for doing their research on this. =D

Either way, Xialian was going to win, until David make the dick move to ram her off the road (reminds me of a lot of players when playing Forza online. >_<), but she was able to get the car back under control and avoided crashing. David then got the punch to the face by his boss that he deserved for that move. Serves him right.

Xialian might've lost the race because of David's sabotage, but her driving skill was enough to prove her critics wrong and changed their opinion of her with ease. I do hope she'll do well in the upcoming Trans-American race. =)

Great episode overall and I do look forward to seeing TJ's appearance next time.

I'm curious to see what car Appare has to offer us, any ideas?
And I kinda hoped Xia Lian Jing would join Appare's team but oh well this works fine too.

Happy to have this series back. Loved how the boss decked that guy because his recklessness could have damaged the cars lol. He was a decent guy in the end. I was thinking about how she was riding in his draft the entire time so I'm happy they brought it up as to how she could win.

A good original anime is so refreshing to watch, I wish every season had one like this.
Now after a few months of delay we have two very good originals at the same time.

Great coming back episode, I'm looking forward to see what Appare's car will look like.

There was a three month wait for this episode, but I wasn't aware of it. Didn't even know this anime existed until like yesterday, thought it was just one of the current season animes.

To think I might have missed this had it not been for the delay though, would have been a shame. This anime seems really fun so far, and I'm enjoying it.

The B.I.G. B.O.S.S companies going against each other huh? Wells sucks for ya'll cause Appare will beat you all lmao.

That sexist bitch David pissed me off, but he got punched in the end so it's all worth it.

The recent events hype me up even more for the race! So many interests in this race... Will be even more satisfying to watch them win xD

She won, and the best part of that scene was his dialogue after the race. Can't wait to see her in the race.

As of now, I like it to see these characters interact with each other and in action before the race starts. A bit groundwork is important and can enhance the stakes when it's time for the real deal. Whether the actual main event is going to deliver, that's a different matter.

I wish Jing was the one who punched David... my anger was really at its peak when he demeaned her by telling her the gas and brake positions. But it was also nice to see Jing's boss recognize her ability to drive a race car and do real racing.

Can't wait to see the race!
