Is it okay to skip fillers? I know half Naruto's show is made up of fillers and I was debating whether its worth watching the fillers. I don't skip fillers if the series or season itself is less than 26 episodes but for shows like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Black Clover Etc...Is it wise to skip filler episodes?

A compromise could be watching the series in 2x speed instead as then you got the general idea of what happened and can go back if it was important. Coming from someone who never watched such large series, are the fillers worth watching?

I always skip the entire filler when I'm trying to finish something quickly, and I'll go back and watch them if I'm told their entertaining, and I have nothing better to watch at the time.

It's okay but you'll miss some a lot of stuff, even if it's not important. And can you say you finished the anime if you skipped out on some episodes?

100% it is fine to skip filler. If you're really worried then watch it at an increased speed (e.g. 1.5x)

The trick is you never know if fillers are really worth it until you watch them unless you just blindly trust whatever you're told.
My personal opinion, if you aren't prepared to watched a long series in its entirety then don't watch a long series. If you're worried about wasting time then do literally anything else, there are plenty of other series available that aren't hundreds of episodes.

Not when they're important to the anime's plot, but you can usually tell whether a filler will add anything relevant to the story or not from the first few minutes.
Who are you and why do you show your hostility towards a complete stranger whom you've not once spoken with before. Are you seriously asking to get blocked? Well, if that's what your intent is; to tempt me into throwing hands with someone as lowly and insignificant as you, then i may grant your wish provided you articulate yourself a bit better when trying to spite a person of my wavelength.

Everything changed when the filler nation attacked. Fillers have infested our anime for too long. Skip them and don't look back.

When they're annoying (for me of course) I skip, the worst are the Bleach fillers I think. Some fillers are watchable, but I never seen something unforgettable.

Don’t let someone else’s guilt trip stop you. Entries above 300 let alone 800+ are especially daunting. In my experience, there’s probably a guide somewhere to direct you, though you can always quickly skim through them yourself as you go for anything interesting you might be missing.

Always skip fillers. You won't miss a single thing by skipping them because they never have any effect on the actual story.

Watch semi-canon arcs so you don't miss the actual important stuff mixed in with the filler, though.

Sure, if it doesn't look interesting to you. I skipped all of Shippuden's fillers except for one or two arcs because one looked fun and the other I didn't remember was filler until halfway through. The one I liked was Paradise Life on a Boat, because it's funny as hell. Whether or not it progresses the overall story really doesn't matter in the end. As long as it's fun, it's good enough for me.

If it's Naruto/Naruto: Shuppuden or Bleach, you can skip them and not worry about missing anything. As far as I know, those 3 are the only ones that do 20+ filler episodes in a row...

Why not do as the mangaka intended and only watch the canon, mixing it with filler will make your overall experience worse

yes, it's okay, because the filler was made so that the manga / light novel is not overtaken by the animation

i skipped koyomimonogatari (which is a cour of side stories, save for its ending) cause i was too immersed with the story, so i'd say do whatever you want

but if you're gonna watch side stories at 2x or 1.5x you might as well skip it or read a summary. sure they may have some worldbuilding or some comedic downtime, but if you're watching at that pace you're probably not absorbing it anyway

I skip all fillers in my first watch because it can disturb the momentum/atmosphere of canon story for me. I can always go back to watch it after I finished the series, if I'm invested enough. If not, I ignore them.

Depends on your intrest and time you want to give on a particular anime... If u enjoy an anime and have lot of time and patience to catch up so don't worry about fillers and watch.. Its no harm to watch our favourite characters goofing around for a while before a serious cannon arc... Rest its upto u.. I never skipped an episode of one piece whether its filler or cannon coz I love them 😊

Honestly, I'm surprised skipping episodes is common practice around here. I see watching a show as a commitment. For me, it's all or nothing. If you're going to pick and choose which episodes to watch, or feel the need to skip, are you really enjoying it? You might as well drop the show and watch something else. You may enjoy a different show better if you don't have to skip around. Just my opinion.

I don't skip anything on my first run, but I do think skipping is fine on a rewatch. You've already seen it and you now have an opinion on it, after all.

Agreed, it's a matter of patience, and how much you care about the show you're watching. I see skipping as being impatient and just wanting to be done with it. If I enjoy a show, I won't want to miss anything.

When it comes to long runners yes like Naruto and Bleach both have some terrible filler not worth watching. But I do think bleach has one arc that's a mix of filler and canon content.

Filler arcs are not worth watching 9/10.

I always skip fillers on Naruto. On One Piece I watch if it's at least mixed canon, if it's pure filler I try to watch it anyway at least till I get bored then I'll check filler guide and see where it goes to then decide from there if I'll skip to canon or keep going. DBZ I watch some of the best filler like driving school, may skip others but it's been a while.

Other shows I'll try to watch filler anyway but if I get bored it might become a point where I may drop the show. Ideally things are good enough that I won't actively notice, and sometimes chill episodes are cool.

Yes, especially if it's coming from a long running shounen series. This is just my opinion but you should skip fillers in both naruto series and bleach. Only watch the g8 filler in one piece skip the rest also that filler arc is better than the actual canon arc that comes next. When it came to fairy tail and black clover I didn't even realize I watched filler at the time. If it's just a 26 episodes or less show I'd say just watch it, I don't bother checking if it is or isn't with that amount of episodes.

Ok so.. I sped through Naruto and Shippuden in 25 days.. I watched all the fillers for naruto but for Shippuden, I skipped 90% of them. I think people have said this already but watch the fillers if you really care about the show and want more content. Even if it's not related to the story, it's worth watching if you have had an interest in the character(s) or if, I don't know, you just want to see more of the show. I skipped most of the fillers because I was impatient, I didn't really feel a bond with many of the characters, and cuz I was pissed off at naruto for the lack of maturity development lol

If you're watching an action-adventure shounen anime...
Yes. 100%. It it almost ALWAYS never important, and quite honestly poor in quality. Half of the original Naruto is filler, you can just skip it all. Unless you REALLY crave quality such as
-Tony the Tiger Arc.
-Mecha-Naruto Arc.
-Ninja Ostrich Arc.
-Complainy girl that follows Naruto around Arc.

My advice would be to research the filler of a specific anime and whether you should skip it or not. Naruto, One Piece, Bleach for example, you can skip practically all of it without missing anything important. Yuu Yuu Hakushou, and Cardcaptor Sakura, are examples of two anime that have episodes that can technically be considered "filler" as they weren't in the manga, but play into the line of episodes and is generally recommended not to skip since there is such a minuscule amount.

Remember that the final episode of Naruto is canon and not filler, even past the previous 100 episodes of filler.

"Is it okay to skip Anime Fillers?"

Usually - yes, but it also depends on the anime.
For example you can skip them from Detective Conan or One Piece but not from Gintama, some of its fillers are top fun.

Also when you skip you must put some though in the process. Like if the episode is only partially anime original you shouldn't skip it also in some cases watching certain anime original episodes just to understand the connections.

PS
Watching with X ... speed is not the weeb way.

Do what you want, as long as you enjoy watching it. I whined about bleach fillers back then, but I finished it and it was palatable, worth it. I mean if I go to a fast food shop I get exactly what I want although it's not 100% organic.

Shows like Naruto are filled with fillers , there are like hundreds of filler episodes that just take up time, so you end up spending like 3 months watching a single anime even though you could have finished it in like a month and a half. Some can be funny, but they are mostly dull and boring, and if they are not, its not like any progress that was made in the fillers will stay in the main plot..so yea. I mean if you have free time and want to you can, but I don`t recommend it.
