HOW I RATE ANIME AND MANGA

10: It's an Absolute Masterpiece of a work, and I would recommend almost everyone gives it a watch/read once if possible.

9: It's Exceptional and I absolutely loved it. If it's a genre that you generally like, even if only a little, this is an absolute MUST try.

8: It's Great and I really enjoyed my time watching/reading it. If you like the genre, then I would definitely recommend giving it a shot.

7: It's Very Good and does many things well. However, I'd only recommend it to someone else if they're a big fan of the featured genre(s).

6: It's Pretty Good and it was certainly enjoyable, but it's not something that I would recommend to anyone else, even if they like the genre.

5: Just Mediocre. It's definitely not bad, but it either doesn't have any unique qualities, or it's being held back by something like weak writing.

4: It's Subpar and doesn't do anything particularly well. It's certainly not awful, but generally falls flat even compared to the mediocre stuff.

3: It's Far Below Average and completely fails in one or two crucial areas, with the most common failure being the writing of the story.

2: It's Truly Awful and should be avoided. It just fails in multiple major areas which completely drag it down beyond redemption.

1: It's Irredeemable Garbage and it probably shouldn't exist. It's so terrible that you may want to try it just to laugh at it.

NOTE: I do NOT score in a vacuum. I rate almost all anime and manga when compared against other works within the genre or with similar themes. Obviously, there will always be elements of bias within scores.
