There's another victim of the Extended, and Juzo is tasked with another prosecutor on the case, along with Mary, because the victim's a female.

And knowing the evidence on hand, it looks like Juzo has cracked the case earlier than improvised, that Danny is the REAL "ghost", but Rosa's mentally abused nightmare has her on guard against him as well.

In the end, Danny is just like Mega Armed Tokisada with not knowing the full scale of the effect of Extendeds in an era where these types roam around but not without danger lurking in any ground.

What a fun series that doesn't get the hype it deserves, all ready for the 2nd Cour!

The episode felt like a side story, nothing really related with what we saw, except the connection with Berühren. Despite that, I kinda liked Rosa’s story and I thought she’d join Juzo’s team.

There's one huge thing holding this anime from being good: Tetsurou. The brat got too much screentime, and wasn't interesting in the least. Meanwhile, more interesting characters like Scarlet got totally sidelined.

Remove Tetsurou, and the show would be at least a 6/10.

I don’t know why this shows getting such harsh feedback, I did watch it in Japanese and for this show it was much better than the English version. It gave the characters more personality, voices were more suiting than the English dubbed version. I give it a 9/10. At worst 8.5/10.

Started off pretty well but then became a bit hectic losing the focus point in my opinion. Still an interesting style and setting but didn't capture my attention completely for me.

Show's biggest problem was too much exposition with boring monologues.

This was an odd end. Like the bigger cliffhanger happened the episode before, besides that there were many odd starts and ends in the cases, but at least the show was oddly good. Oddly because those cartoony / manga-style reaction shots were a bit off in comparison to the overall gritty artstyle. But the characters were fitting and likeable (except for Tetsuro that stupid little whiny pos). Hopefully Season 2 will give some closure on those open ends. And maybe a new arm for Juzo, because that one teaser picture for the next season doesn't quite two of those...
Overall good show, with a neo-noir feel. Odd 8/10

Not a bad episode to end on since it doesn't end on a cliff hanger. I had a feeling the butler guy was behind everything since well the butler type always seems to be behind it lol. I'm curious if that last hand will be around in the next season and how did it know to save the girl. All in all I enjoyed the show as I liked the character design and characters themselves and want to learn more.

This show leaves me with a feeling of cluelessness what to think about the story. It surely has more layers than meets the eye, and at the same time is somewhat boring. The right conclusion is that it deserves watching cour two. Let's hope shit hits the fan then, without becoming a shounen. The show always is a bit too close to that genre for my taste.

For now, a 5/10 which means "confused and undecided". Most likely this will go up or down after the 2nd half of the story.

What so bad about being a shounen? also isnt seinen and shounen interchangeable as they both use similar troupes

I don't like action plots in general (e.g. no marvel/DC or Rocky either), and battle shounen intrinsically is about "fights". Then my IRL age plqays a role, I'm usually not interested in plots with teenagers, as I can't identify with their thought patters. And because I'm older than the popular long running battle shounen, there isn't any nostalgia value attached either. See here for more discussion of my feelings towards that subgenre.

You contrast shounen and seinen, but that's not like it really is. There are seinens which are simply extended shounen plots and tropes with a little extra violence and nipples drawn on anime tiddies. Think e.g Black Lagoon. I usually don't like those seinen either. Fortunately seinen is not the opposite of shounen, e.g. I find the richest character driven plots in josei shows which I really like. And seinen isn't limited to "extended shounen" either, think Non Non Byori, 3-gatsu, Mushishi, Monster, Ping Pong, Space Brothers and so on. All seinen, no fights in either.

I am baffled as to how a show that looks so cool could be so damn boring. The dialogue almost put me to sleep. Even though it's obvious this was made with a 2nd cour in mind, I don't think it'll be worth it for me.

Wish it had as much energy and attitude as the OP.

Also, it's kinda funny seeing some people complain about Tetsurou, considering how little screentime he actually had. His existence is actually pretty interesting especially if you think about how he, and Harmony, might fit into this world that's been set up. I can only guess he'll play a bigger role in the next 12 eps. Sucks for those people I guess.

It's a decent show with an okay cast of characters. But nothing exciting or big happens. And the last episode was kind of boring. I hope it gets better in season 2.

A filler episode, unfortunately. The ghost of extended was real. Nice surprised. Its glad to seeing Rosa saved, but a bit dissapointed that the whole case led nothing. Even that memories had nothing to do on this episode. Ohkay, then!

Idk the true intentions of this show. It seem there are still many puzzled on its nature about the extension. The background story somehow a less effort to revealing itself. Even the whole Victor arcs indeed cancelled with that part. In the end, its difficult to give a mere score for this show. I just hope the Summer season of NGL no more reason to bring the bullshit like that.

The story was interesting. The plot was good. But, the flawness sometime got messy, bring nothing, and jump up to another parts. Its a bit irked me with that decision. 7 for the most positivity they had on this section.
The art looks like a classical. The animation was superb at some point and so detail to the other battling. Still, i found out that the action animation was a less punch than their comedic part. A bit shamed. 8 must be enough for this part.
The sounds were okay. No popular VAs except on the Pepper, thanks for the saved. The OST, opening, and ending quite bland to me and really weak on my ears. Its also not friensly enough tobe remember. So 6 score for this was an okay charge to put my effort to watch this.
The characterization was a difficult section. Its lack the detail of several character. I even found that Tetsuro had no much development rather then his power got charged up a bit on Colt's arc. After that, all just felt weak, and his characterization still annoying to me. Its same to the Juuzo and Mary.
Their background was naively so little. And Juuzo acted of saving more people kinda cliche and so generic of usual hero-ish. Juuzo had so much heavy plot device to kept his soul alive. So, yeah, his characterization felt so weak on my pov. Since this had a chance to improved on Summer 2020 season, i give the whole characterization a 7. A nice man likes me can't let the nice series like this dead in a miserable destiny.
So, yeah, the enjoyment kinda increase a bit on 8 scores of satisfaction. Afterall, with the mean rate, i decided to take this first Introduction to the NGL worlds a 7.2 points per 10.

Thats it.

Final episode was terrible, more new characters that I don't care, forced "discrimination" theme and the mystery of the "ghost" was very stupid. At least the bike scene was very good.

Overall, I like the setting and atmosphere of No Guns Life and some plot twists in the middle, the rest is...annoying or forgettable. I don't know why the show likes to kill side characters so much. I add that it's pretty boring even though the show tries to be cool, it reminds me of Kekkai Sensen. I'm going to watch S2 just for curiosity.

Episodes 5-6-7-8 were pretty good, ep 9-10 were average, the rest was shit. 4/10 for the anime.

The end felt disconnected to the rest of the series. It wasn't a bad episode....just totally out of place. I liked the series and will probably watch the second season. On the station platform of this train ride.....7/10.

I don't understand why the hands were protecting Rosa, weren't they used to kill her parents so that that one guy could have access to her medallion? As far as I know there's no point where they said the hands were reprogrammed or whatever.

This is a weird place for a season break.

That aside, the show's basically a hard-bitten detective noir translated into Anime format. It's decent enough for what it is, but something about the character design seems off and I kept getting flashbacks to Zetman (which was not good).

I loved it! The dark and cyberpunk setting with noir atmosphere is brilliant! Though, i hoped it focused more on the detective stuff, like solving mysteries and stuff. I liked how they blend the cg background with the 2D hand-drawing very well, it was comfortable for the eyes and was not disturbing most of the times. Now we got the robotic version of The Addams Family hand (or hands?) on board, LET'S GOOO!!

Well this was an interesting way to end the first cour. I guess it would be a good idea to continue into the next season. Overall it was an okay season though. I didn't exactly dislike it but it felt a little all over the place at times.

Not much of a mystery case considering Danny gave himself away pretty quickly, kinda wonder why the hell he hired Juuzo in the first place and what those hands are. Pretty entertaining season, really loved this unique world with its characters. Juuzo's past as weapon in the war really reminded me of Rendal Oland from Pumpkin Scissors.

Beautiful Series ruined by this damned brat, Tetsuro .....[Juzo Inui] Just his normal day to day jobs would be enough for me to continue watch the series but just because of this unwanted unnecessary little annoyance I cant get my self to watch the 2nd season.

When I started watching this show, I thought that I would like it more if it was just standalone stories of Juzo solving cases, but after this episode I'm glad that it's not like that, because this episode was boring as hell. 6/10 overall.

Weird way to end a show like this, the story was quite predictable as well.

All around a well done show, as expected from Madhouse. Characters were alright, Tetsuro was a bit annoying though. Antagonist chicks are super hot though, hoping to see more of them in the next season haha
