| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Iroha needs a better sense of direction. At she's not completely alone by herself. The magical girl she teamed up with seems pretty skilled. Action is surreal as usual with the abnormal monsters they encountered. As this show continues to explore Iroha's personal journey, I find it fairly interesting to see how she adapts with others and the world she is in now. The amount of luck this episode though. I wish I had that type of luck. |

| A group of magical girls they haven't introduced yet. While looking at the area, she found rumor of the suspicious drink and a girl who works only for money (for survival because her parents got killed by witch). She is strong, one of the group appeared before OP, and the cold girl warned main girl of. Red pony hair girl from main Madoka series is here! Witches preventing them from stopping the rumor and got the girl working for money. |

| Everything that glitters ain't gold, Felicia. Mami last week and now Kyoko is here, let's gooo, great time to be a Madoka stan. That look on Felicia's face at the end was very unnerving.. Another great episode. SHAFT have been absolutely masterful with this adaptation. |

| With a city of this size it makes sense that there will be several teams that are detailed to protect it. The area that Iroha entered though sure was a rather curious one. Amusing how Felicia's first request after catching Iroha was money for a toll. Still her strength as a fighter is pretty real. Looks like the gathering of witches within the city has caused other areas witches to view them with disdain. Interesting in that another of the old guard will arrive in the form of Kyoko though. On a side note Iroha's luck really is something. While Felicia's hatred ended up ruining Yachiyo's plan at least the subsequent plan was more of a success. The one phrase figures though was rather curious. Given her hatred of witches Felicia falling to temptation wasn't unexpected. Though im curious what Yachiyo and Iroha will do to stop her though. Overall a decent ep that did well in introducing a new rumour as well as introduce Felicia as a character. Feels like the witches within the city are starting to draw in magical girls from other areas so as to diminish their strength while a greater villain prepares. |

| Damn, a timely return (or introduction?) for Kyouko-san! I’d a feeling she’d come next after Mami-san and here she is! No apple this time lol but it was certainly awesome to see how she was casually eavesdropping on the interesting conversation right below. Goes to show just how weird this whole thing in Kamihama City is, I suppose. And not surprising that there are different groups dedicated to protecting different areas of this city. Like many users who have already pointed out, this suspicious “Wings of Magius” group really does indeed give off a cult-like vibe which is most definitely going to be bad news at the end of the day imo. Shoot, that look on Felicia at the end though, she totally loves that deal! Signing off by showing that battered family picture additionally, is going to be make the wait for next Saturday even longer... 14 more lucks left, if I remember correctly. Yikes, the clock is ticking down it seems. So far, the best episode in terms of Shaft’s crafty work with the imagery and such. It’s been excellent so far so that’s saying something, mind you. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for us next! |

| The bit with the Wings of Magius members talking together was kinda...lol, felt lowkey dumb and that killed the creepy vibe imo. I mean did they really need to finish each other's sentences There also could've been a better build-up to their introduction. Which sucks bc the rest of the ep was neat. I like Felicia, she's v cute, and I'm happy to see my girl Kako even if she didn't get a single line ;') Hope to see Masara standing silently in the background next |

| -Felicia looked way more loli than I expected from OP -Place to find Ui --> Abandon shopping area with uwasa (and Iroha didn't notice at all) -Count down is cool -Kyoko is back. Nothing interesting happen though. -Wing of Magius, the hell ?? just add another edgy, not interesting mystery and old one still not answered. Fair episode, I won't drop but not excite to watch week by week now. Best thing in this ep is open Gacha in Gacha game anime adaptation. How Meta. |

Rumors, witches and familiars all have that very distinct artstyle unlike the girls from Wings of Magius. Plus, when Kaede was abducted, the voices speaking together blended in a very natural way. The Wings of Magius just sounds like kids who planned to finish each other's sentences but their timing is off so there's an awkward pause between each one talking. |

The rumours are getting weirder, Lucky Owl Water, brings good fortune but after 24 hours you will have really bad luck. Next week looks to be interesting as Felicia seems to get tricked by the magius behind the Lucky Owl Water.. |

| Another pretty strong episode overall. My hopes for the overall quality of this anime rise by the week. At first I was facepalming at the VERY OBVIOUS familiars running around at the water stand, but then they suddenly took notice the second time there, and after that Yachiyo explains that if you don't know about a rumor, it doesn't manifest as such in your eyes. So, seeing them like that at the beginning was more for us. In a meta way, you could say "we" noticed them because we're on alert for anything suspect, and would've known this was such the moment Iroha got there. Pretty cool! We got Kyoko. I like the quiet storytellng that shows she was drinking the water (probably used her illusions to steal several as well, she had more than one). It makes sense she's coming here, considering she only does what she wants and needs grief seeds to do so. She says she "heard" that magical girls might be allied with witches, implying to me that Mami warned her about this since she's the only one who actually knows Kyoko. Felicia's a pretty good character. I appreciate that you could tell she was a troublemaker and extortionist by her behavior and language, plus her VERY particular hatred toward witches. She's also infamous around the city - even Yachiyo and Tsuruno knew about her. Iroha doesn't know what happened to her last episode, and Yachiyo doesn't want her to know. Yachiyo is starting to be very sisterly towards Iroha - it's clear she's beginning to grow attached to the girl, and is maybe keeping this witch thing of hers a secret to protect her (since she doesn't know that magical girls become witches but Yachiyo likely does, considering her solitude). I'm wondering if this will become a point of tension later on that threatens to drive a wedge. The ending was good but off. Those magius girls set up a really creepy atmosphere but the way they were finishing each other's sentences was awkward. Maybe they weren't actually doing that in reality, but it was made to come off that way because all of them talk like brainwashed cult members, and would all say the exact same thing. I mean they already all look the same, so yeah. And yet, it still came off as kind of cheesy. But aside from that, I am really enjoying this. Each episode seems to be more focused and getting better at characterizing each girl as they're introduced. I think as a whole this will be a quality, solid little series. Here's hoping we get two cours though. We're almost halfway done and we still haven't met the shield girl, nor made any real advancements in the plot - just more mysteries stacked on top of each other. |

| A good episode, but honestly, do all Magical Girls have no parents lul Like Yachiyo has such a huge house for her alone even if she should be a highschooler. Tamaki basically is alone as well and they all seem to have no familial relationships or simply no one besides their comrades in arms. Their lives must be pretty depressing, especially when wandering in creepy places as they do. However, I appreciated meeting Felicia, her temper & way of acting is much more different compared to the others |

The Wings of Magius girls aren't manifestations of the Rumor, they're a faction/cult of Magical Girls that protect the Rumor's Uwasa from harm. They're the group that's directly associated to that "Come to Kamihama to be saved" message. |

| Great episode! Don't know why the series has a mediocre score, I'm loving this so far. Kyoko being back is also awesome, I wonder if she'll encounter Mami. This final frame was great as well.  |

I believe its in a way "cowardly" to demand that any anime has the level of a masterpiece. That would lead to being frustrated with practically everything. | Honestly didnt even realize we are half way finished with this season. I am assuming the rumors are true that it will be 2 cour just based on how this is paced. I am really enjoying everything about this adaptation. It surpasses the game and does relevant changes to fit an anime format. The game gets to foreshadow things which would be spoilers if it was 1:1 adapted in the anime. I am glad the liberties are taken unlike Fate where they have to follow the source to a T with minor changes that people generally dislike. |

| Seems we're not going back to crazy girl straight away. Interesting to see Kyouko making an appearance. I thought Mami would be the only camio but we've got more. I think that'll be it though since Madoka wouldnt have been a magical girl at this time and in turn Sayaka wouldnt and Homura probably wouldnt have a reason to leave Madoka. (That or she isnt a magical girl yet either.) Im just assuming this all takes place before the events of Madoka Magica. Yachiyo slipping out her secret gayness for Iroha when she said "Dont drag Iroha into this." Ship it! Hope we see some more scenes between those two. Also dam Cocoa coming into this series as well. Just finished watching The Quintessential Quintuplets where Yotsuba was literally Cococa (Is the Order a Rabbit?) and now we've got Cocoa magical girl edition lol. |

| I know she was going to appear soon enough, but I couldn't help but smile when Kyouko finally made her appearance. Yachiyo seems to have a habit of encountering the Mitakihara magical girls recently, with Mami from the previous episode. Felicia has that troubling aura around her. She's a lone wolf at her job, but she also has a bubbly personality that showed easily when she was with Iroha at the arcade and got along with her pretty well. It's a shame that the enemy was able to manipulate Felicia too easily when they promised to kill the witches for her, plus the fact that the witches also killed her parents, means that she needs to be taken down at any costs. The final frame of the episode showed her twisted facial expression that did a good job at startling me. ^^; I'm not sure what'll happen next, but I'm expecting Kyouko to gate-crash this clash at some point. |
| Ok, I honestly don't really know what that was... Nothing really important happened this episode, or at least, I didn't see it. Of course there is a chance I missed something, mostly because I'm getting more and more confused over all these characters. If I'm not completely wrong, there were at least two new characters in this episode (with Kyouko just having her debut in the show) and that is nothing new. It has that "character of the week" feeling by now, with old characters not reappearing and just new ones showing up. This might possibly be due to the origin of the anime. I also get the feeling we are missing on the story. As I have written at some point in the past, Iroha is just a figure for telling stories about people around her. We haven't seen anything really new about her search for Ui in some time, there is always something else. I hope, this isn't just the main pace for the rest of the series and then all about Ui will be solved in the last episode. That would be really disappointing. I'm hoping we get more pieces to the overall puzzle in the future. |
