I kinda like this silent movie style everything is very clear.
This episode was innocent they way the characters interacted especially the part with the candy/chewing gun falling between the mains tights.

I think I like this show more with each episode. the way they reacted to everything was done fairly well for it being silent, and I liked how it was innocent interactions between strangers - it seemed true to real life. I’m enjoying the use of music.

First my rant on MAL because I honestly I don't want to watch this thing but I have to apply this 4 episode rule to review. Thanks for the 3 minutes of waste of this week and the next one.

Now on the episode and just please Studio Seven just make Hentai and have a thigh fetish one because thats the only thing I can see from these shorts and poor attempts of making comedy that come as dull and pathetic

Youngsters that complain that the "silent" anime isn't any good isn't aware of the great comedy moments that came out of silent animations through the decades. Sure, Mickey Mouse started out as a silent, but that style of silent animation continued on long after silent films died. Road Runner cartoons got the silent treatment, as did The Pink Panther cartoons. Silent films have a long history, and comedies are the best ones that have transferred over into the modern age. I can hardly wait for the English dub.

yeah, this is clearly modeled after old american silent cartoons. you can see it with the strong storyboarding. the first shot of the guy on the train opening up the gum wrapper is introduced as shot of JK's thighs, which implies that that is where the gum will end up. simple visual setup gag that was used a lot more in the silent cartoon era that's largely been forgone for other comedy trends in anime. people don't like it because they don't get it despite being direction fundamentals. if you have experience with charlie chaplin/marx brothers/even jackie chan's HK movies, it's real easy to pick these things out.

this was sure amusing and was better episode compare to last two episode. I really digging that weird plot twists lol. But feels like that random character was rather the main lead of the show.

True. I didn't grow up on Chaplin, although, as a pre-schooler, the local TV station did show some of the old silent pictures (mostly Little Rascals) but I have caught up on a lot of Chaplin movies since then thanks to VCRs/DVD players and the interwebs. Watched a few Buster Keaton films on PBS as a young adult. I'm no spring chicken, I was born exactly 2 months before Sputnik was launched. As soon as I could, I started watching cartoons, even old silents. I studied them as best as a preschooler could. Imagine how excited I was to discover "Flip Books": ancient animated GIFs by today's standards. LOL. As I got older, I watched various studios that produced their "How To" shorts on making animated cartoons. Lantz Studios (Woody Woodpecker) and Warners did a decent job but an afternoon Kid's show called Discovery '65 (The year would change every January. I was 7 at the time) did a fantastic job. I now wish I'd studied computer animation in college. I do make animated GIFs, though.

Instead, I took what I knew and wrote my own stand up routines. After 15 years, I hung that up and stuck to writing and graphic manipulation. Mostly memes, some photoshop, and, of course, GIFs. Again, though, some of my humor flies over people's heads. I knew what I was doing when I said I couldn't wait for this animation to be dubbed in English. Think about it.

Uhm, it was a decent episode I guess. Aside from the gum conveniently falling between her thighs, I liked that the whole situation wasn't over exaggerated as I thought it would be.

I honestly enjoyed this episode. Last week was a dumpster fire of a train wreck. Thank god no inaudible gibberish words were spoken.

I feel like I'm going to enjoy the 50% of this show that isn't busy having adults focus on a high school girls' thighs, but as usual waifu fetish crap is the worst thing about anime.

It's getting harder and harder to enjoy anime if you don't consider waifus tiers part of your reasoning, not to mention being pretty chill with some uncomfortable pedo implications.

If this is supposed to be a CGDCT show (as that's one of the tags MAL put on the show), then I guess it's one of the shittier ones because of this stupid episode that ruins the show. This show would've been fine if this episode didn't exist.
