The only complaint is obviously how long All Might was able to stay in his power mode. Of course, this is between the Sports festival and him losing powers after the All for One fight, but still. Otherwise, fantastic.

I give this movie a 8/10 The story was so predictable They used so many cliches And The animation was not that good but İt was enjoyable and I love Melissa but I think His dad was right about His reasons So I wish They used that device on All might to Make him powerfull again But Of course They can t do it Because Deku’s improval is more important than The fuckin SYMBOL OF PEACE and Melisa and her dad are probably non cannon so neither That full gauntlet(which the most usefull thing Deku ever get) and that Powerfull device which can make All might great again will never be used again, what a waste

Finally got to experience the entire movie...

And pretty much agree with the majority, is that for such a series such as BnHA, the story plot just needs to be simple and understandable in order to lead up to the ever-so-awesome action scenes. The movie did just that, but the story plot pretty much is just straight up predictable, from the entrance to the usual Hero Class cast, to the villains who were just doing evil for the same cause, was thinking that it all bows down to All For One, and it did (rushed).

Still lingering that scene when Deku with Melissa turned heads for Ochako, Mono and Jiro Don't ask for ships though.

Otherwise, action was still great and that double Detroit Smash. What a wonderful sight and magnificent power. Definitely overhyped, and disappointed a fair bit, but still a good job for the 1st movie in the franchise

I really enjoyed it! It wasn't super special or anything but a solid story and lots of fun and epic scenes with the main 1A kids, especially Todoroki and Bakugou. Deku and Melissa's relationship is quite rushed but nice to see.

I'm hoping for more MHA movies in the future.

Finally, the OST (You say run mainly) was fantastic.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! the story itself plus the action scenes from this one are awesome....

bakugo and todoroki tandem- they are rare in the main series to be paired with and in this movie they have shown what they can do as a tandem, as what i can say they are both a powerful students at UA and thay have shown it on this one. i love how they are using their quirks to defeat those villains

all might and midoriya- PLUS ULTRA- ohh how great when you see both of them are fighting in serious mode. and what i can say that PLUS ULTRA MOVE REALLY IS SUPER EFFECTIVE... its like having 2 all might having the same attack...

utilities/ support- melissa's gauntlet being given to midoriya really works well as it helps a lot in that fight as midoriya can have more powerful attacks without being conscious of easily being injured. and the prof's research tool make that villian really super strong...

GREAT MOVIE AND I LOVE IT!!!!

Dope movie, no big issues outside the villain being generic af like any cookie cutter shonen villain and dude didn't even get a damn name. Also lack of Tokoyami was a mistake. Comedy was on point, MHA's isn't the greatest when it comes to comedy like Naruto/DBZ/FT but it seemed to be even better than the anime. Final punch at the end looked great while Deku and Melissa interactions were so natural, lot of screentime for them.

PLUS ULTRA!!!

I really wanted to know and see more of All Might back in his youth or prime! The brief flashbacks between All Might and David are all so enjoyable to watch and definitely got me curious to want to know more.

Uraraka caught Deku with Melissa, lol that was hilarious!

What? There's a power system in BNHA? All might's AP in his prime is about 15000 while currently, he's at about 2500 AP, yet still could kick some ass.

Damn all these terrorist villains are using SCAR H, this is some advanced elite group!

I knew that David has something to do with this whole villain operations, but I never knew that he's doing this for the sake of All Might as he's planning to use his quirk amplification device which does not alter the body, unlike a drug does. All so that All Might can regain his power to be the true symbol of peace as he used to be, but that all ends after he saw Deku with the same pose All Might have in that picture. Honestly, that kinda made me tear up of joy! Especially after seeing how hard Deku has tried to save David.

The last fight against that boss with metal manipulation and some physical altering quirk he got from All for One was simply epic! Whenever Plus Ultra is said, whenever All for One's OST is played and whenever You Say Run is started... Goosebumps will ensues! Overall the last fight's animation are all incredible! Thanks, Bones!!!

That dance scene between Uraraka and Bakugo was just a fanart with the style of the movie's animation... I should've known it'll be too good to be true.

I kinda expected more of the movie. The quality felt really similiar to that of the anime. It was good but I hoped for more polish, since this is a movie and not a weekly airing filler arc.

Also on a personnal tone, why not include Hatsume, Tokoyami and Tsuyu? Tokoyami and Tsuyu are really popular so i found it strange that they only had a cameo. And I understand the reason why Hatsume was not there, minor character and Melissa is central character, but this is the exposition is the sort of event that Hatsume would love to go to. I easily imagine her just setting up her own stand and showing all her babies

Damn, this was a pretty cool movie for the series overall!

Story-wise it certainly wasn’t the best with all the asspulls as they call it, but it wasn’t too bad in general. Just about fine-to-average, if you ask me. Dave and Melissa blended in with our main cast almost perfectly, it’s really a pity that we’ll hardly ever get to see them again in the series, if at all that is. On the other hand, however, the villain for this particular movie was basically bland in essence but good to see some relevance to All For One here nevertheless. Some top-notch, as expected from Bones, action scenes though, such glorious sakuga! Favourite moment of the episode, without a doubt, has to go to Deku and All Might charging up to the villain and just the whole scene then was fabulous; the music, the sakuga, the voice acting and the action choreographies were simply god-tier! Some lazy shots frequently before the final fight though, good thing they at least took the fights to the next level!

Back to the Characters, it was nice to see all of the classmates of Deku appear in this movie in one way or another. A little saddened that we didn’t get to see Aizawa-sensei though. Like I mentioned before, Dave and Melissa really blended in brilliantly with the main cast, in particular Dave and Toshi and of course Deku and Melissa. Some subtle Ochaco scenes here and there, there was even a short indirect Ochaco x Bakugo scene but the jealous Ochaco at the start was definitely the best. Great clothes for all of the Characters too but sadly the final state of them were a mess, lol. I was in for more but I feel like the show ended too abruptly, for God’s sake Deku didn’t even tell Melissa that he, too, was quirkless. I was so looking forward to this! Anyway, looks like Dave is under custody but good to see his daughter keeping in touch with him despite all that happened. Dave’s assistant’s death honestly didn’t give me any impression whatsoever but at least we found out that Dave didn’t have any more, or rather devilish, hidden agendas. I wonder what the other classmates of Deku are up to now, probably leaving back too since the final scene of Deku and All Might suggested something of that sort, last we saw of them was when they were screaming their lungs out to boost Deku and All Might which was pleasing to see as always!

I’m eagerly looking forward to more from this series so I’ll be sure to check out the short 2 mins special by the next couple of days, at most, and, again, eagerly looking forward to the 4th Season of this franchise! I have utmost hope, as an anime-only, that Studio Bones will deliver just like the previous three Seasons, so cant wait to see it already! Hopefully, we’ll get another similar kind of side-story(ish) movie in the near future too.

I think they handled the movie very well. Yeah, the story was very typical for a shounen anime but it was still pretty enjoyable to watch. Especially, I liked how All for One was included as the one who was indirectly helping the villains, that was nice.

Regarding Dave and Melissa, I liked them both and I think they were nice characters, especially Melissa. Her determination of wanting to help despite not having a quirk was inspiring and her interactions with the cast were nice as well.

On the other hand, the main villain, Wolfram, was pretty average and boring regarding his ambitions but having Rikiya Koyama as his VA was a nice decision. I really enjoyed hearing his characteristic voice as always.

Some minor things I didn't like were:
-Having all the student in the island for different reasons was to much of a coincidence for my taste.
-It was a shame Tokoyami wasn't invited to the party, it would have been nice to see Dark Shadow in action.
-All Might saying "shit" was beyond laughable, I don't know why they did that...
-Neither Dave nor his assistant died after being shot but well, that's just me wanting someone to die in the series xD

Overall, the movie's progression was predictable but it was still pretty entertaining and the final fight's animation was simply amazing as well. 7/10

Well that ending sequence and animation sure was impressively animated if you ask me! Really epic double Detroit smash to be honest. Quite liked it, and while the pacing felt a bit slow for this kind of movie, it still was very interesting to see!

For being a movie off a major Shounen Jump franchise, it was really good. People that aren't used to watching big franchise movies are probably a bit underwhelmed but this is probably one of the better ones.

The only series I've seen pull off a few really high quality movies are Dragon Ball and One Piece, and this only happened when the authors themself took command and the studio took their time with it.

The pacing was amazing, which is something that we don't often see in movies. And this was because it only focused on 1 event instead of trying to mash together a big story in 1 and a half hour. Melissa was a really likeable character that I'd love to see more of in the future.

The fight at the end was superb! Although the movie was kinda predictable, it nailed everything it did with its already established and loved characters.

An 8/10, Sorry Uraraka but Deku you should marry Melissa!

The ending saved this movie.
It went from "not bad" to "meh" and ended with overall "decent"

Rated it a 7, which is maybe to high. But when this movie was over I actually liked it and it reminded me of why I like hero academia, so it deserves it.

production quality was good enough (Hero Academia has a high quality overall, this doesnt stand out like other movies do)

If we want to talk about the plot, which is honestly not the main reason to watch this
- Took the main villain an hour to figure out how hostages work. I was already decently bothered by them trying to avoid fights (makes sense, hostages!) but failing has no consequences. Well, movie plot after all. When Dave explained it was set up I was actually satisfied with that, but nope, actuall villains. So why again dont they ever threaten hostages? Dave would not have noticed anyway
- Daves plan would not work. His gadget only enhanced quirks. This movie actually confirmed all might was loosing his quirk, its not just that his body was getting weaker like I previously thought.
- sucks to be Dave. Governments literally stole him his greatest invention and did not even compensate him with a shit ton of money. Like, him trying to get it back was bound to happen.
The other problem is this is considered canon, and it happened before S3. So, why did Deku not have Melissas gauntlet? Seems to me like this is a no brainer, he needs it.

Franchise movies are always hit or miss, or rather, hit dead center or only grazing it. This was not bad - most franchise movies arent really bad. But it was also nothing amazing, or really good. When the former category has entries like Disappearance of Haruhi, GuP Der Film, NGNL Zero or DB Super Broly, the latter has the Mahouka movie, SAO Ordinal Scale or now this.

PS: It had quite a few Jojo references! Cant decide between All Might saying "SHIIIIIT" or All Might saying" KONO POWA"

So whatever happened to the the whole "not engaging in battle with villains" speech Deku said? I thought it will turn into another Bakugo rescue mission when he said that, but it just ended up being another all out battle for the sake of being a movie.

It bothers me how they just throw that whole scene out the window. They could've at least added a short clip at the end showing the students getting punished for breaking the rules as a comic relief (even if it doesn't fit the movie story format) to show that rules still matter, cuz otherwise this movie just ended up promoting Stain's ideology.

Aside from that, the movie does have decent animation at the right moments. The director knows where to put the budget when it matters.
The good parts were comparable to Deku and Shouto's battle.
The bad parts are "meh" at worst.

On a side note, I think it's confirmed that my boy Tokoyami will forever just be a minor OP character in the series. He was on screen for 2 second and said exactly one word...
Though it was probably right to not include him in the final battle, cuz he'd be too OP at the night, making All Might obsolete. XD

This movie was just epic. The setting they choosed for it was perfect, I-Island, even if the name is little bit funny. New characters got introdruced in form of Melissa and her father Dave, All Mights old friend when he was younger.

And of course what could more badass as seeing a young All Might. Omg I want to see of this. He was an absolute beast. O.O

A lot of very funny scenes, obviously with Bakugou who was competing with Midoriya and Todoroki. That gauntlet of Melissa was pretty interesting. At least Midoriya didn't had to hold back.

An villain who can control metal was also cool + he was strong especially later with the gadget of Dave.

The fights were just epic, especially the last one where Midoriya and All Might fought together omg. I was acting like a fan girl when they absolutely crushed that giant metal cube. >.<
And all that just because Dave wanted to help All Might. At least he understood and saw that Midoriya is a worthy replacement for All Might.

The animation was crazy good and the choice of the OST's also perfect.

Really enjoyed watching this movie. I hope the second will also be as good :)

Found the movie super enjoyable. Not enough Froppy, but otherwise no complaints. I loved Melissa Shields and her dad. I felt like there was a lot of chemistry between her and Midoriya that I dont feel between him and Uchako. Personally I think Uchako would be better with Bakugo... I really hope melissa becomes part of the main series, I feel like she would add a lot, since she basically represents what Midoriya may have become if not for him meeting All Might. Which is really what makes her and Midoriya's bond so great.
