| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Bad weather this epsiode but that's not going to stop characters coming out. By the look of it, it seems characters still maintain a strong attitude about their goals. Somewhat of a slower paced episode in this series but I'm okay with it. As long as they're building into the main plot, I can keep getting invested into the show. Oh and there's more man service again lol |

| Raining season. The guy wanting to participate Hakone getting his injured leg fixed. Reading the interview by Hino-san's character, also suggesting alternative practice way. The time to feel worried because there's majority of the teammates not get there yet. Super busy guy getting broken hearted because his girlfriend broke up with him. He is the first one to wanting to practice more. Megane guy realized his running way is different and ended up using the otaku guy's machine. First fan in the official site he established. That guy that knows the main guy is participating this time. Creepy adult... what he said seems to shock main guy. | Shindo is indeed a strong man. He took running as a form of coping with the break-up and as always YUKI is the first to follow him. Did he really just pick up on Shindo being sad just from his actions, Yuki is the really the mom of the group IMO. Great character. The whole group running in unison and then Shindo talking about his life with the music in the background. <3 Shindo is very precious and does everything for his friends. |
| Slow and gloomy for the most part, but nonetheless great and atmospheric episode. The middle section left me really with a feeling of melancholia. And epecially Takashis display of determination and how he pulled everyone along gave to push harder gave me chills. Team Kansei show them all[ your strengthespecially Sakaki Wonder what's up with the camera guy,tho. A reporter that knows Kakeru back from high school ? Can't wait for the next episode, but we gotta wait for almost a month now, lol. |

| Nice to have some focus on Shindo this time. That moment when he decided to run some more and the rest followed him was great and powerful. Do we really have to wait January 8th? Damn! Great episode as always. Loved the more atmospheric tone this one had. |

| Oh yes, quality naked time with your bros. I mean, bath time after a victory! Shindo has really been like a core to this team though, nice to see it acknowledged. it is just weird that the one to point it out was Kakeru; I guess he's gotta sell the image of a caring teammate after being an insufferable jerk for nine episodes after all. But Shindo's girlfriend was awful. She decided to break up suddenly, he didn't see it coming at all. She's in her right to want something more out of a relationship, and she can't be blamed for it, but she came out as selfish. I don't know how their relationship was before all this, but it was like she didn't want to support him with a goal if it didn't include her, even a temporary one like Hakone Ekiden. If she truly liked him she would have endured being apart a little. He was doing his best to do all that he could too, and that included having time for his relationship, but I guess that it wasn't enough, welp. Still a bit worried about Haiji though, it was only mentioned, but if I got it right he still needs time to properly recover, and he is pushing it by running even after he was told not to. I hope his dream will come true, but I also hope he won't have to pay a big price. |

| I had the feels when Shindo cried twice, first while running, then while in his bedroom with his two buddies. I don't know if they realized that speaking about him in such a good way just the moment he got dumped was probably painful. He did so much for the team and sacrificed so much time that his girl friend broke up with him. I bet his ex girlfriend is the childhood friend we see in the photos. I hope they'll make up later. PS : This guy at the end is one of the sport journalists we see at minute 9 or 10 in this episode, it seems. |
| lol. Passive aggressive dog! I really want to know what had happened to Haiji. I feel horrible for him. He loves to run, but has a leg injury. It's so unfair. Only one of the guys in their team has body hair. Does everyone else shave? The new old man seems like he'll create some kind of trouble of some kind. That close up of his mouth was creepy. Sugiyama fell asleep on his arms. Must have been quite uncomfortable after waking up. I have been wondering: do you need strong and well defined leg muscles to run in a competition, or is it fine to be as thin as a lot of the characters shown here? One week is a painful wait. 8th January is too long!! WHY IG??? WHYYY!!!!?? |

| Great episode as always. Looks like the twins and Musa got an official record, good for them. Shindo is a great guy, he really tries his best for everyone. He even took that break up like a man. :( I wonder who the guy who was looking for the Kansei track team was, seems like someone who recognized Kakeru. |

| damn this show continues to be great but what shocking news hearing such a long break , i haven't noticed any noticeable drops in the quality of the show so maybe it's related to something else in the production? not often you hear a IG show get delayed |

| Solid episode again but a bit on the slower side which I do not really mind too much. Few important things took place in the episode, after all, and giving it time to settle in is a brilliant idea! Rainy season strikes, I imagine, but the boys aren’t just going to hang around lazing. Nice to see Musa and the twins getting their official records too, and the following fan service was rather hilarious to me. Shindo’s girlfriend calling it a quit there was shocking but it’s nice to see Shindo taking it like a man. You really can’t blame her, but even then I can’t help but think she was probably being a little too selfish there. Anyways, looks like the boys are up for another run, I’m looking forward to seeing how that goes but too bad we’ll have to wait just under a month to get. Kakeru’s former friend’s expression there was gold xD, he really can’t just mind his own business and let his jealous-filled emotions show making him seem really pathetic now. I wonder who that old man in the end there was though, the whole scene was seriously intimidating and the zoom up to the mouth was creepy. Surely, more drama awaits I’d say. |

| The dog's sad face at the start broke my heart, and then all the stuff with Shindo completely ripped it to shreds :C That was a pretty mellow episode but I guess it's to set up for all the events to come. |

| Awesome, three more got their times. Nice to see the episode centering around Takashi. Odd guy at the end might be Kakeru's dad, guess we might see some of his past. On a sad note, no new episode for three weeks, nooooooooooo. |

| I'm so glad the twins and Musa could qualify for the Hakone. It was a very good episode. I'm happy Shindo received more focus since he looked like a nice guy and this ep. just supported that impression. He really is a very strong person despite he denies it. I'm also glad to see Kakeru being more open with his teammates. The talk he had with Shindo and Yuki at the end was very nice, it felt really natural for me. P.S. 1: Wait until January 8th for the next episode? Well, that sucks :/ P.S. 2: I'm sorry that Shindo lost his girlfriend but personally, who needs her when you have such supportive friends as Yuki and Musa. |

| Mostly an episode focused on the team just getting stronger and such with a slight focus on Shindo. I love how he used running to cope with the breakup in a positive way. Rather than being obsessed with his time he just wanted to run to get it out, and of course everyone follows suit. It was pretty great. There was a comment on crunchyroll that theorized that guy at the end being Kakeru's dad. Not really any evidence to support it, but I like the idea none the less. Yuki kinda came off as the douchy and complainy type in the beginning, but he's always looking out for his teammates. |

I really like shindo a lot and I'm really happy they made an episode dedicated to shindo. So, a mysterious character comes out of nowhere , I wonder who he is. But I'm really hyped for the next episode, this anime probably seems like the best one of this season. January 8th seems way too long , I should eat corn until then  |

| The more I watch, the more I love it. I love them all sooo much. My boys <3 I'm so proud Poor shindo though. I like how each one of them is getting a character arc. The pacing is really nice too. It's just such a good anime. |
| If this was a typical teenage drama anime Shindo would went completely emo. I'm glad it isn't. That guy in the end was weird. |
