I enjoy a lot of different kinds of anime too. It's not that hard to understand. If I have a more critical view on the series I watch it doesn't mean that I don't enjoy them. I rate stuff based on how good it was according to my own values and enjoyment. That's what a lot of people do. If they gave anime X a 5, it doesn't mean that's bad and they didn't enjoy it at all. If someone has a lower mean score that doesn't make them elitists nor pretentious.

Can't say that I take this site too seriously when you go in comments at the pretentious critics who write preliminary reviews to trigger the seasonal watchers and the fandom.

Quite ironic to call someone's taste "the most boring taste imaginable" when out of less than 350 anime, you gave around 140 of them 9s and 10s.
Can't really throw the word elitist just because someone is more harsh with their ratings on generic seasonal anime or just because they like thought-provoking, deep and complex pieces of media instead of the average battle shounen with excessive fanservice.
