| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Lul, that new OP song. I kinda like it with how colorful it is although I personally like the style of the first OP song more. A lot of Hotaru faces in it! Pretty amusing episode. Hotaru and Kokonotsu still have the familiar character chemistry as I remember from the previous season. Nice to see characters like Saya return too. The storytelling retains its comedic energy. Neat start so far for season 2.  Catchy ED theme song too. |

| Hotaru is back with low blood pressure it seems. Anyway she had some interesting dagashi ones again. Was it just me or are the episodes much shorter than the first season? |

| So, I watched it. The new artsyle doesn't bothers me and I think the idea of 12 minutes lenght episodes is good, considering that this way the show can get straight to the point it wants to present (to shown Japanese candies to the audience) without being too "outstretched". Man, I sure missed Hotaru and her hyperactive and enthusiastic behaviour, it was great seeing her again. On another note, I hope the show keeps showing us some fetishistic moments from time to time like in the first season... |

| Great start. Art is a lot better than I though it will be. Still not feel's level tho. Many of them looked exactly the same, except the names. |
| It's back :). Style changed a tad bit but not too much thankfully. While I think it sucks that they shortened the episodes, I do think it'll work better this way since some episodes in season 1 felt stretched out imo |
| TBS does it again probably with delayed anime. Happened last year with Seiren. it took 2 days after airing to get subs from CR. |

| I never expected this show to get a second season. It's nice to see the characters again. The art style is a bit different though and it's shortened to 12 minutes now. Oh well. Got to learn about some snacks. |

| I hope the dad character isn't gone the whole season, that guy is a laugh riot. I am always up for 12 weeks of wondering what saya would look like with a normal person's face instead of one that doesn't make it look like her hobby is running face-first into walls. I know it's like that in the comic, but still, why Good episode regardless. |

| its funny that most of the shows i expected to be shorts are full length and this one is one i figure would be full ended up being short. anyway im glad it kept its charm despite the shortened length, i miss the post-ED snackducation tho |

| Kinda underwhelming, it should be half for comedy and half for dagashi educational stuff, well wasn't really funny, mb it picks up. And i guess it's fine for a short-episode series. |

| I think that transition from one studio to another went smoothly, because i can't see any difference. The only problem is that episodes are now 12 minutes long, which is about 9 minutes if we disinclude OP and ED. Seems like they've thrown away the kernel of the story, and focused on dagashi exploration only, but we'll see in the future. I really hope they'll make at least 24 episodes. If not, then that wasn't worth waiting |
| I think the shorter length works in the show's favor. 24 mins of dagashi talk was a bit much to bear with, especially when they started talking about stuff only japanese people could understand. |
| The new season feels lacking, almost kind of rushed. It doesn't have the same energy as the first season where they had some filler and comedy where as in the new season they just get straight into the dagashi and that being the only focus before quickly moving onto the next dagashi. |

| thank god it is 12 minutes long... i think i might enjoy this season more tbh because 24 minutes seems too long so far it was an okay start. the opening and ending are nice at least |
| 12 minutes???????????????????? T_T Gosh i had a laugh at "Your dad is a YOUTUBER" Not sure why that makes me laugh so much. ANyway im super duper happy that one of my first seasonals is back. I absolutely love Hotaru and her voice, had a bit of butterflies throughout the episode, all those nostalgia memories. ANd studio change didnt affect much, ITS STILL A GOOD OLD DAGASHI KASHI. P.S can't believe how fast the episode ended, full length OP and ED(30 sec shorter than the usual) leaves us with 9 minutes and thirty seconds :((( |
| Man I wish this wasn't a short but even so, what we got still quenched my thirst for these characters (Mostly Hotaru) Loved all of the funny moments like when Hotaru brought up YouTube lol and Saya's reactions to Italian noodle Dagashi thing xD I'd love to try that myself tbh |
| I waited so long for this and I can't believe it's only 12 minutes long :( Who cares, I'll enjoy every second of this while it lasts. Love to see that the characters keep their entertaining personalities from the first season and I look forward to more Hotaru craziness and useless trivia every week! |

| The episode length doesn't matter me too much- it's actually the animation quality. The designs aren't that bad, but it feels like the animation is rushed or just lazily done sometimes. I get it- it's a different studio (for some.. reason), but I think it can be much better. But the most important thing in this series are the characters and the comedy so hopefully this season will be just as enjoyable as season 1. |

| Tbh the design this season is much closer to manga than the first season so the change of studio and character design doesn't bother me at all. Good start too missed this show |

| So, I really enjoyed the first season, probably because I watched with zero expectations but anyway, the episodes never felt too long for me, so I'm feeling the rush of this one. It was nice, but not that funny, let's see how it goes from here on. |

| People seem to forget 2 things. First this was always just an advertisement of sweets. Always. Second the length of the first series was basically 2 episodes roled into one. so having this as a half length series works better. |
| S2 is a downgrade in many things. Like time, from 24 min to 12 min. Too short. Now it feels rushed, they skip a lot and the episode is over. Design, it maybe is closer to the manga, but who said manga design is good? Maybe as a manga format, but as animation the first one was much better. Also the eyline is kinda... strange. Next is OP and ED. Boring. Simply a downgrade to save money. Rather they made a 10 episodes with the style of S1 instead. |
| "You're dad is a youtuber!" Yo that part had me in tears! Upset the episodes are 12 mimutes. Still pretty funny though. Idk which season animation I like more though. This seasons seems to focus on the "Physics" aspects of Hotaru lol. |

| Gonna be honest, given the series' format, being 12 minutes long makes it easier to stomach (pun intended). Since the jokes, trivia, puns, etc. are delivered swiftly and effectively without dragging on too long. Plus the manga chapters are quite short and straight to the point so the anime should do that as well. I love Hotaru, she's best girl here by a far lot. |

| Of all the shows they had to cut in half it had to be this? Too bad. (I recommend picking up Takunomi. to supplement it as a "first half") The art is also a downgrade but it's passable still. Glad to see all the cast back. At least the humor stayed the same. Lmao, the beginning was such a troll, that was probably meant for the previous Saya obsessed director XD. |
