Mushishi - Episode 21: "Cotton Changeling" is my favorite episode of all time. It was the best Mushishi episode hands-down and it is really impactful and mindblowing.
I don't care about the "3 episode rule" I will drop anime on episode 1 if it is boring enough.
Kira >>>>> L >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> N
I do not care about popularity. If the anime is in the top 50 and still is shit, I will rate it accordingly and I don't care if an anime is out of the top 2000 of popularity because there are a lot of hidden gems that are ignored.
Anime that mostly focus on gore or moe without a good story or decently written characters will be judged harshly in general. Same for action anime.
I will criticize the fan service and sexualization in anime that don't need it, leading to lowering the score of the anime if it is too predominant, but I do not mind a good ecchi or hentai every now and then.
I don't know what you people see in Clannad, the characters are utter shit and the story doesn't even have any "feels". The second season is decent, a lot better than the first one, but I still don't see where are the "feels" and when should I be crying because it completely failed to manipulate my feelings.
I'm gonna be honest, I might be a bit biased, but most of the anime that came out in 2017 are pure recycled and non-original shit.
I tried my best to like Monogatari. But even tho it has a 10/10 animation (really rare to rate this to an anime) it is still boring and I literally felt like doing anything else while watching it and I considered dropping most of the seasons I started. Fun fact: This was the only anime to almost make me fall asleep while watching it, I'm serious.
In the day I actually watch a good shounen-ai anime I will acknowledge the genre's existence, but for now, all I watched was shit so far.
Mainstream =/= Bad. Sure, most of the mainstream anime this day are severely overrated (especially sequels), however, there are still great mainstream anime and they shouldn't be criticized or hated simply because they are mainstream.
I've recently started exploring manga, and I've been really into some of the stories I've been reading, so it's normal I haven't had much time to watch anime.
There are 3 main points that influence my ratings the most. Story writing, Character development, and Personal Enjoyment. The rest doesn't really matter that much, as the animation and sound is already a small part of my personal enjoyment. Anime with great animation and sound quality but lacking any essence or purpose will still get a terrible rating. Anime that look and sound like shit but are thought-provoking or super entertaining will get great ratings. It just works.
Story/3 pts + Characters/3 pts + Enjoyment/3 pts + Animation/0.5 pts + Sound/0.5 pts = 10 pts. But to be honest, I don't always stick to this rating system, I go freestyle on my ratings a lot.
10 = Flawless/These are the anime I believe to hold pretty much no flaws. I don't believe there are perfect anime and that's why this number is so small. While I call them flawless, there will always be a flaw to be pointed but these are so minor and totally overshadowed by the enormous amount of amazing characters, mind-blowing plot, and great enjoyment from start to end of the show.
9 = The Best/Normally anime with strong messages, great from start to ending and make me feel accomplished upon finishing them or redefine my view on the genre. With some of the best plot and characters (including supporting chara). Normally have a small flaw holding it from becoming a 10/10, but there are little to no flaws being pointed by me.
8 = Great/Some of the anime in this category might still be the best of its genre, but normally have a weaker plot and less complex characters comparing to the anime listened above. Some of these are still among my favorites and barely did anything wrong.
8 rated anime and above are considered classics.
7 = Good/Anime I like but might have lacked a big impact or had an inconclusive or crappy ending. The characters could have been better. They are still pretty good anime that I would recommend. Not really a must-watch but still recommended.
6 = Okay/Has a lot of flaws but is slightly above average. These are by no means bad anime, they simply have too many flaws holding me from giving them a higher score. I'll rarely recommend anime listed here, but it is not impossible.
5 = Average/Easily forgotten/No impact. Borderline bad in most cases, but might still have enjoyed watching them at some point.
4 and 3 = Bad/These have few redeeming qualities. Generally have characters I dislike or hate and I dislike the plot and ending for the most part. Some might have started alright but turned into shit in later episodes. A lot of repetitive ecchi/school/romance/harem anime falls onto these two scores.
2 and 1 = Terrible/Some of the worst in the Industry. There's no need to remember these anime, they should burn in the pits of Hell. They take a very small percentage of my ratings overall because I always try to find something good in each anime. But unfortunately, that isn't always possible. I'd say Pupa is by far the worst anime I've ever watched but I recommend everyone watching it once in their lives.
There's really not much to say about this.
7 = God-like hentai. Unfortunately, I haven't rated hentai with such a score. Still looking for the perfect hentai, which I'm pretty confident I'll never find.
6 = Favorites. Mostly uncensored unless they really have an amazing plot to compensate for the lack of fap material. I love the plot and the art is good.
5 = Pretty good. These tend to have 2 or 3 great scenes I might rewatch later but I wouldn't consider them my favorites.
4 = Okay-ish/Jerkable. These most of the time have some redeeming scenes or good animation but the story probably sucks. Still jerkable, so they fill their purpose.
3 = Bad. Censored hentai with crappy scenes and plot.
2 and 1 = Unjerkable. I'd never watch these again. They can't even make me hard.
Notes: Dropped anime will never get more than a 5
Anime that don't leave a big impact on me after some time will probably have its rating lowered. A good anime shall be remembered for years!
It is very common for me to lower anime score if I feel the anime wasn't actually as good as I thought it was when I first watched it, but I also raise scores very rarely. The only anime to come to mind are Madoka Magica (from a 3 to a 4/10), Mononoke (from a 7 to a 8/10), Texhnolyze (from a 7 to a 10/10), Ghost in the Shell (from a 6 to a 7), Welcome to the NHK (from a 8 to a 9).

Characters I Hate!
Not ordered. Hate them all the same.
There are a few others but I probably forgot about them or just got lazy and didn't add them, so let's leave the list at that!
I'm not going to lie, I cried during the last episode of LotGH. It was an amazing 110 episode journey! - 06/12/16
