| I don't have a problem as long as my subconscious generally translates the character on screen to a human being. I can even go so far as to say I don't mind the necks in Ballroom e Youkoso. But I definitely see where people are coming with that complaint. |

| Generally I don't find these to be problems. The only exception would be whenever the eyes on a character have a gap wider than the runway in Fast and the Furious 6, then it just creeps me out a bit |

Tbh most anime use the same general artstyle and only a small portion can really be considered unique in anyway. It is true though that the style has changed over time and back in the 80s it was more common to see more detailed character designs. |

| Anime characters never have a tear duct. Anime character eyes are never central or partial heterochromatic, always a solid color. Anime character eye lids are never single, always double, even though it’s rare to have double in Japan. Anime characters never have a rib cage, no matter how thin they are. I’ll think of some more later. |

| Well, not to mention the unrealistic proportions when they have really long slim n slender bodies like in One piece and Persona 5. But it's a good thing to have many unique art styles in anime to fit the story n characters. Certainly, I really like the art style of Detective Conan. Tho I used to watch it when I was little, it's still stuck in my mind. I was especially drawn to the eyes that I even used to draw them. For some reason, everyone always had the same reflection in their eyes, but it's different from all the other anime I've watched. After all, every art style has it's own charm. |

And you know what's worse than characters not having lips at all? These kinds of hideous lips. They look as if someone sliced off her upper lip and left her mutilated. And that's how most anime characters that do have lips look like. I'd rather see characters with no lips than this abomination. Is it really that hard to draw another lip? Fucking hell. |

| Jin-Roh has a pretty realistic art style, it's the only anime I've seen with "realistic" looking characters |

| Female anime characters in modern anime can have lips but it's usually for close up and kiss scenes. Few modern anime have female characters where in EVERY scene all the female characters have double lips. Double lips for female characters on a constant and in every scene is far more common in cartoons especially DC superhero cartoons. Even though I gave Kakeguri a low score I really liked how ALL the female characters had constant double lips in every scene. |

I completely agree. They look more hideous showing the bottom lip only, especially those really "strong" smiles. Stop half assing please, although I prefer they actually just omit a lip design rather than have a full lip design |

| At first, I hated the fact how these studios just start making whatever they seem pleasing. But as time went by, I started noticing that there will always be somethings that some people will be cool with and others are gonna hate on them. And I don't blame them, it's within human nature to not get along in terms of liking something. Sorry if I'm getting off-topic but same goes for the foreheads. And another point to note is that, they're trying everything to just make the characters look more "attractive/cute?". Anyways the industry is probably running out of ideas to developing the characters' looks so if they wanna try new things, let them xP |
