| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well this was an interesting episode. It goes more in depth to show what school life is like for these girls in particular Chise. I did like the fact that the episode focused more on Chise as she's one of my favorite characters from this show. Looks like there's some drama going on between her and the boys at her school. I like how Chise used her skills to teach those jerks a lesson. |

| They way Chise handled those annoying guys was so satisfying to watch. Impressive skills she has. It was funny to watch how she was getting used to the school life in a different country. She's an excellent cricket player. |

| Got to see the school life for the girls, mostly about Chise. She really stands out among everyone since she's from a foreign country. Princess did a sick burn on Lily. Chise embarrassing that one guy was great to see. She's not afraid to defend her country. The girls doing a sumo ring-entering ceremony was funny. |

| More focus on Chise and also some cultural topics tackled (difference between western and japenese). That throw of the bullet was fucking crazy, i gasped a little at that! |
| Nice episode as always. But i feel like creators of this anime forgot something crucial called "plot" at the beginning of the show, and they have no intentions to come back to it. This episodic stile isnt exactly what i was expecting from this. BUT, for some to me unknown reason i still like this show very much and its one of the best anime shows of this season at least for me. |

XD Great focus on Chise, the spy who draws too much attention. Loved how she wrecked those brothers by throwing that bullet, that was awesome. | Other than the random cultural comparisons, this was a pointless episode, at least half of which was a thinly-veiled recap with the rest being filler. Also, Ange's comment of "spies don't attract attention" is pretty ridiculous when none of them have really been abiding by that. Worst episode so far, no doubt about it. |

| I love Chise. She makes for a great narrator here. Considering how different the culture and society as a whole are between Japan and Europe, this episode made for a nice little character building episode. I laughed a bit too hard when she said Dorothy had some "weapons" at her disposal that she herself had not developed yet. And I guess we could really see how little is known about Asian culture in the West back then. Kung Fu isn't even a Japanese thing, and that little victory celebration with the pseudo sumo ring.... if only they had Google and Wiki back then, eh? XD |

| Chise is closer to becoming my favourite character of Princess Principal. Cute, serious and never afraid to speak her mind to savage someone else's views, she really shined in this episode. Like Chise, I really want to give those snotty brats a good kicking for disrespecting her as well as unnecessarily killing the poor bug. Luckily, using the duel made it possible for Chise to put the snobs in their place. Not even a rigged gun stopped her from being creative by using her ribbon as a slingshot to deal a pretty nasty blow to the snobs arm, along with his overblown ego too! =D With that in mind, although she is still spying on the main spies, she really wants their plan to succeed. I guess it's safe to say that she has a strong trust with them already. =) Interestingly, this was case #11, whereas the last few cases has been in the 20's. Who knows where the next episode will take place in the timeline, but I don't mind as long as its good. =3 |

| Another episode that focuses on Chise is her trying to adapt to a completely different culture. I like how it showed what they all get up to during school hours. That was really funny watching her trying to play Cricket, interesting way of batting but it was effective. Really happy that she made that guy surrender and grovel like that during the duel. Looking forward to watching the next episode. |

| compare to previous episode, this one have less "intense" but i think its understandable since this episode (case 11) take place not long after episode 5 (case 7) when chise first appearance and episode 4 (case 9) where chise are still have less role on spy mission compare to the last 3 episode (ep 6-8) which take after this episode (case 16, case 18 and case 20) |
| A lighter episode. I would have preferred for this episode to air immediately after Chise's introductory episode to make the series flow a little better. Seeing the daily school lives of the girls under Chise's point of view was an excellent direction choice. Chise's the foreigner, and we get to see how she perceives this new place that she has been assigned to. Lily: "Princess, I think you should choose your friends with more care." Charlotte: "But I thought of you as a friend. Are you saying I should reconsider?" BURN!!!!!!!! I wanted to see the fight between the fencer and Chise's swordsmanship... Yay, dueling gloves! I honestly did not expect Chise to hit with her gun since I don't think she's a shooter. But they had to rig her gun...When Chise said that these Westerners don't know anything about Orientals, I was expecting her to do something fancy during the duel. I thought she was going to parry the bullets with the gun like she did with the iron in the laundry episode. Instead she picks up the bullet. And here was my thought process: "Throw the bullet? Or flick the bullet like a Ninja? Ok...Wait...she's taking off her ribbon and...A SLING? OH HELL NO! THAT'S GOING TO HURT LIKE A MOTHER!" I bet those Westerners never saw a sling before. They had it coming to them! |

I am so fucking happy. Does anyone know how many episodes is this? We still don't know making me think this is 24 episodes! |

| I just love how they bring back Ange being from the Black Lizard Planet lol. "I am normal!" Then rips into Dorothy. They're really a great group of characters. Good episode overall. Really enjoyed this episode. Chise is so cute. Sneaking those Rice Balls in lol. |

| This episode is a nice side trip away from the main plot. Some people may find it pointless, but it did a lot for character development, me thinks... and I believe that's a good thing. Dorothy is second best grill, because of dat sheer cleavage. Mmm... |

| Great episode! Judging by Lord Harakawa's trust in Chise, hopefully Japan will side with the Commonwealth. Also, chances seem to be relatively high for this show to get two cours instead of one since no announcement has been made just yet so that's a great aspect. |

| So the theme today is Chise's experience in the kingdom so far. Though i guess its a learning experience for both Chise and her friends in having her stay in a foreign land all by herself though. Getting used to the food will be first thing that Chise needs to do though. And learning to use pencils and paper and not ink will be next. Chise's perception of PE sure is interesting though. Its funny how she even takes sports such as cricket that seriously though. So Beatrice gets to be a model for the art class in this day of Chise's. Chise's painting that she made in art class sure didn't look like Beatrice at all though. Given their age i guess its to be expected that Chise and Beatrice will be in the same class. First time i saw someone issue a request by throwing a white turnip at them though. While it was a serious matter i guess its also someone that was amusing to hear as well. Given the fact that Chise is supposed to stay unnoticed she is drawing too much attention to herself though. Chise's accessment of Ange though was hillarious though. I guess being hard to read is something that a princess should be. To think that princess too would have people that bother her as well. Princess's response to Lily's words though was hillarious though. Chise must be awed at the scenery and tech thats used in the kingdom though. Its nice that despite being put into a team of strangers that Chise had learned to appreciate the unique talents of her comrades though. Given how talented her mates are its normal for Chise to feel the need to prove herself to them. Chise's expression when she had the kintsuba though was cute. Of course Chise hasn't forgotten that her main mission was to determine which side is best to ally with after all and in essence spy on the spies. Its unfortunate that this school also has dumb rich kids like the ones that were rude to Chise though. Though annoying its a good thing that Chise did not take the bait from those guys though. Didn't expect that Princess would come and teach Chise about duals though. While usually a pacifist Princess does understand that sometimes violence is necessary for some problems such as this one. So Lily will be the witness for the dual then interesting. Though the enemy did cheat Chise's reaction sure was surprising. Im glad that the dual ended without trouble though. In the end it looks like the girls really are starting to bond with Chise and are starting to appreciate her skills. Chise's answer in the end was nice though and indicated that her friendship with the spies is genuine. |

| It seems my fears was well funded...too much set up which will never bore any fruit yet another series with this problem. Probably the remaining 3 episode will repeat the slice of life filler. |
| I usually get bored (sometimes even skip) recaps, fillers, etc... but this one, hit the mark. The idea of recapping important aspects as a narration while something new was going on, was pretty clever. For a reason that i yet, don't know how to explain, while watching Princess Principal, i have the feeling that everything is so smooth. |
