| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Welp, the finale with the Twenty Faces comes to an end. Hanasaki takes his stand against their adversary. Tbh, they went all out this episode to make it climatic (hell, even adding the theme song to make it more appealing). Akechi's entrance was dope though. Heck of a ride but the storytelling felt overall mediocre. |

| Decent finale. Twenty Faces plan didn't go well, but Akechi's entrance was cool. He is no longer a suspect and just disappeared. There were some nice moments in this show, but overall it was terrible. I'm glad it's over. |

| Well it was quite a mediocre show, but I strangely enjoyed it. The ending was fine, but I definitely did not like the conclusion to Kobayashi's power. I thought he would just stop wanting to kill him himself and the power would disappear, but no Kobayashi kinda wants to live, but the power is still working and what is his reaction? "What can I do about it? This is me." Yep just accept the fact that you're not ever going to die, you'll watch your friends get old and die and you will live for the whole eternity. That's just great. Perfect conclusion. |

Overall, the first episode of the show seemed good and I thought this might end up better than Ranpo Kitan but no, it was worse. Honestly the first half was at least decent but this second half has been totally boring and I couldn't care less as to what happened and how things ended up. Animation was really poor at points, Fights especially gunfights were downright terrible and story telling? What story? Hell, the episodic structure of the first few episodes were actually better than what this show culminated in. 4/10 |

| Thank goodness this is finally over. Put this on hold at about the halfway mark and finally powered my way through this. The only part of the second half that I liked was episode 18 with the Akechi/20 Faces backstory. Other than that, I didn't care for this boring show at all. 4/10. |

| Show was mediocre at best. Half of the episodes were filler, and Hanasaki crybaby attitude hurt the show alot. I agree though, I feel as though the first half was a bit better than the 2nd half which was a slog. Overall 5/10. Wasn't bad or wasn't good either. |

| Finally, the torture is over. No but seriously, even the last episode left me with a "wtf is happening" vibe. What even happened, really. Was that a final episode? So anti-climactic and mediocre. I was just trying to find one or two things to like, but even the antagonist himself seemed bored and tired. Generally, I went through three stages while watching this anime: 1. Oh, seems promising and interesting! Can't wait to see what's gonna happen! 2. Um...that was really unecessary. Why is it happening? Go back to the main story please. 3. Okay, I don't know what the hell I'm watching, I don't even care anymore. They unsuccessfully tried to explain Kobayashi's past and "gift", but in the end we never found out why he's got it. Or did we? I swear I fell asleep while watching this a few times so I might have missed some parts. What did they do to this anime? I wish they'd remake it. It's like they got extremely lazy and ruined it before it even went halfway. Such a pity. Total Score: 4/10 |

| Hanasaki confronts akechi and it seems 20 faces was right all along :( The falling through the air part was dope thou, I liked that :) Happy end, kobayashi except akechi didn't return to the office but is somewhere else. 7/10 cause hanasaki.  |

What we got as an "explanation" for his gift was that the mind is powerful thing apparently because he just wished to survive because that's what his mother asked him to do and the famous protective bubble suddenly appeared. The bromance in this anime is painful to watch and that end where everybody is okay and "nobody knows where Akechi and 20 faces are" plz.... I hope they burned in hell xDD Also no word about Nakamura?!?! That's it?! I really liked her character before this "I'm a crazy woman" plot appeared (and that didn't help the show at all btw). This is the Mayoiga of the season. Glad it's over. |

| Well, dude what happened to Nakamura? Is it safe to assume that 20 Faces and Akechi decide to live out as lovers somewhere around Brokeback Mountain. This was painful to watch and the ending was less than conclusive. I'm glad at least the main cast seems to be living quite happy I suppose. edit: I forgot to add that the OST was quite good. Gackt made this more bearable. |

| This anime didn't really appeal at all to me but finished it because of Twenty Faces. Also the animation clearly got WORSE and worse every fricken episode it was pretty hilarious to me. pretty glad this anime is over. Also what a waste for Gackt to sing an opening song for this garbage anime. |

| Pff the only reason I decided to finish this because I actually wanted to know more about Kobayashi's powers, and yet in the end we didn't get anything about where or how he got them. Pretty disappointing. I guess this last episode was alright though. Definitely better than most of the other episodes. 4/10 |

| Not the best, but I strangely enjoyed it, and definitely anticipated those last 6/5 episodes. IMO, really not as bad as people make it out to be. I liked most of the characters too. Hanasaki, Kobayashi, Twenty Faces, etc... But one thing I don't quite understand, is why Akechi decided to stay with Twenty Faces? What do you think will happen to them after their last scene? Wondering because I mainly watched this to see devlopment in relationship with Kobayashi and Hanasaki, and Twenty Faces with Akechi... |

| Akechi is missing aagain what a bizarre series i just watched, but it was very good with Kobayashi's cold personality and Hanasaki's witty personality they made a very good combo. I wish to see more but not that creepy twenty faces. |

| bad ending.. many things not explained.. 1. What is gift? 2. What is Kobayashi's gift? Why the barrier does not disappear? He can make it appear when landing from the ship so he can control it now? 3. I wonder if Kobayashi's gift is his gift from his mother? 4. So Kobayashi's dad killed his mother(shielded Kobayashi), then attempt to shot Kobayashi again but got killed by the barrier? 5. What happens to Nakamura and the boss who ordered the police to capture the kids? 6. What's with the 'good' police who helped the kids? 7. Who was the the one who gave money at the fishing pool? 8. Was Nakamura manipulated(kissed) by the Twenty faces or she is just another psycho? I don't like how the show teased the viewer to guess she was kissed or not. I'm most disappointed with Twenty Faces' name. His gift is not changing identity. We only see him change identity once at the hacking attempt. He seems to grow dumb and dumber every episode, on last episode especially. Somehow Akechi is also really dumb? I like how Nakamura mocked him for not realizing that her boyfriend is Twenty Faces. When it was revealed that Twenty Faces can control his girlfriend with kiss, I immediately think about the possibility with Nakamura. Seems really strange that Akechi did not realize this. |
| The last four episodes are really better. Hanasaki and Kobayashi relationship was great to see progress. I liked how they accepted to die together. In the middle of the anime, Hanasaki annoyed me so much, but he finally understood that he had people that were waiting for him. Good openings and endings. |
| I have not seen anything this egregious in a while, my gosh what's the writers smoking when they wrote the storyboard for this anime? There's almost no consistency in this show, Kobayashi's power, Hanasaki's personality, everything's terrible. This show tried too hard to be that cool detective show with a leader who's had a bad past (just like every character they tried to develop, all of them have a bad past, surprise surprise) who's also occasionally a pervert but tried to portray him as a cool pervert like that means anything. Few times they've tried to disband the shounen tantei-dan like the organization even means anything anymore, if it can be threatened to be disbanded so easily, the foundation of the group was never there to begin with. I've also seen recent anime do this a lot, when they were trying to be persuasive, they often come off as just plain annoying because they're shouting at each other and shit, like shut the fuck up boii, stop raising your voice like it'll make the situation better. They've had multiple chance to prevent all these shits but of course, for plot reason they had to let Niiju Mensou escape, yeah, okay. That totally felt asspullish and only serve as a cheap way of prolonging the story. Speaking of dragging, why do we give an episode to develop a character who's not even gonna be of any relevance? Lol what was even the point? As far as Hanasaki goes, his character became total trash after his mini character arc. Why so fucking edgy all the time? Chill boii. That hacker girl was totally annoying with how moe they tried to make her seem like, it was rather forced. Kobayashi's also a total bore, I thought he'd be more interesting with his power, but nah, dude's got bad fam in the past too, and he got his power from... yeah.. the plot just gave him one because everyone needs a cool light colored hair protagonist who says edgy stuff like "please kill me" with a cool ass power. OST's pretty decent but really, that's all. Waste of time. Don't think this show even needed 2 cours tbh. |
