| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- AKko is just too fun to watch. I love how she ecstatic she got and it was amusing to see her friend troll her while she was napping in class. I'm also starting to like "Shiny Day" (OP theme song) more now. Wasn't too impressed at first but it's quite catchy. The academy lessons gave me a good laugh mostly because the instructor seemed almost too into the lesson lol. We also got Diana's debut in this episode, quite a haughty girl imo with her intelligence as a prodigy. There's an obvious skill difference between her Akko. Personally, I think Akko overestimated herself so she has to develop her skills more, a lot more. (I think Diana still has a lot to learn too) Akko has a lot of potential. |

| Ako still has a lot to learn. She lacks control but she will probably learn to use it at some point. Diana might be arrogant she did mention that it wasn't just her who revived the tree and made the fairies or butterfly blossom. Guess a lot of things are going to happen. |

| Nice episode. Good ED song. Magic lessons not as fun as Akko first thought. Diana is real skilled. Her friends are annoying though. That moving Statue looked cool. Love seeing the activation of Shiny Rod. Those butterflies are beautiful. |

Now that this is going to be a full 2 cour series, Diana was my favorite character from the movies, so, glad we got to learn why she acts all high and mighty, even though deep down she isn't all that bad. She probably puts up the facade because she has to live up to the name and reputation of her family which has been around for 1500 years. |
| lol Sucy is just so funny xD It actually hurt me to have to watch Akko trying to use Shiny Rod to move the statue. We all knew it wasn't going to work, it took a lot of effort for me to not just close my eyes and not watch the embarrassing moment where she can't do it xD I'm loving the pacing for this, I'm extremely grateful that it's 25 eps, we can get a whole lot of character development, something I've wanted to see for Diana since the original LWA. She's by far one of my favorite characters for multiple reasons, including certain spoilers but regardless, I'm really hoping they flesh out her character more throughout the season. | Diana is amazing. Very proud, but actually a nice girl that is incredibly capable. Seriously, the fact that this is absolutely Harry Potter in anime form makes this stand out from everything instantly. Great stuff. |

| Glad to see that Akko isn't all powerful and that she still has a lot to learn Diana is pretty interesting character to say the least and even though it seems like she has a superiority complex, she's not half bad Good episode overall though....Really loving the school setting and that one teacher that wants to tutor Akko |

| This was a great episode. The magic lessons were not what Akko was expecting. Diana is quite skilled in magic. I really don't like the two girls that follow her. Those butterflies looked so beautiful. |

I forgot that her last name is Cavendish, combined with her haughty attitude I'm never not gonna think of Cavendish from One Piece. It will be interesting to see more of her character. They already had her in the crowd of the Shiny Chariot show in the first episode, so her being an old fan of Shiny Chariot is still a thing, So the Shiny Rod will get more consistent use, that's nice. The butterflies were really cool. ED was nice, too. |

| Akko is ecstatic about being in a witch academy, reminds me of Yue's experience in Mahou Sensei Negima! Sucy is great lol... So evil yet hilarious. I adore magic-school stories, especially ones like this that are whimsical. It's like what Harry Potter should have been. This is better. I disagree strongly with Akko, even if it's mundane and uneventful, i would never be sour or bored in a netherworld like this. Hell i'd be studying better than the rest, and shoot myself up to shaking the conceptual foundations of the material they teach at the school, i'd go above and beyond. Even a language class is fascinating if the language has meanings beyond just practical function. You're basically in a world where you have no prior knowledge to any of the elements, and every minute detail has a history and etymology on how it got to where it was at the point you experienced it. Though i guess the difference is that Akko is a baka. Why did she get sour with Diana after the statue thing? She should have been amazed by Diana's ability too, geez. ...Even Diana's magic is not exemplary, she still relies on wands and incantations. She'll be gaining some humility sooner than later. Diana is not nearly as stuck up as those types of chars usually are. She has an acquired and justified arrogance (one i'm familiar with), and in her hubris with the tree, she figured it out quickly; she's a wise girl. She's not my favourite, but i completely appreciate her type, she's not a fan of people playing little league thinking they're champions. This anime is top-notch... It's been quite some time since i've gotten some good whimsical plot like this. The music is fantastic too. (And 25 eps!!) | Another great episode, this show is just so damn charming (pun intended) I thought Diana was gonna be a typical bitch at the end and take all the credit but it's nice to see that they didn't have to rely on that cliche. Sucy seemed to take a lot of pleasure in petrifying that spider, I'm pretty sure she's gonna grow up to be a serial killer.  |

| Really good episode! I liked the first one better, but still enjoyable. Sucy is awesome, as usual. I think Diana is actually a really good hearted girl. :) Love the ED! Butterflies scene was gorgeous too! What I don't like is how it focuses a bit too much on Shiny Chariot thing, but I guess that's to be expected. Also, 25 episodes. I may die in peace now. |
