THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

That was awesome, really cool to see the other pro heroes take action.

Damn right about time the villains retreated. I'm also quite impressed at the way they've been adapting Deku's character, to make him stand out more and more including this episode. I think this battle is just a small taste of what the League of Villains are capable of. Can't wait for next season, should be even more exciting. 8/10

An amazing finale for an amazing adaptation. Definitely my AOTS. Damn, the noodle legs look so much worse in the anime, poor Deku. All I can say is that I'm looking forward to season 2 and I can't wait for the top-tier OST to get released (probably the best OST of the year so far, together with Haikyuu S2's OST, which is also made by the same composer).

I'm glad Bones got the chance to adapt this, I always wished for it to happen ever since I started reading the manga and for once, my dream became a reality.

And now I kind of ship Tail Guy and Invisible Girl. Poor Aizawa ;_;. The ending was pretty bitter-sweet, after seeing All Might bandaged and injured pretty badly. Also the sunset shot with all of the characters with the epic soundtrack in the background, absolutely beautiful.

Edit: Well, holy hype, they teased Stain after the credits. I wonder how far they'll get into the second season.

It gets a 9-9.5/10 from me.

Chapters 20 and 21 adapted in our finale....first season finale that is! And oh how happy I am to be able to say that. (Although I'da preferred we got 2 cour from the start but, eh, take what you can get.) Anyway...with All Might out of power it's Young Izuku Midoriya who steps up big one final time to save his mentor's life. And he once again breaks his legs in the process, ouch! Luckily, Iida returns with plenty of the faculty to chase the villains Tomura Shigaraki and Kurogiri away, thus ending the immediate threat. Love the brief expanded material here. But who is this "Sensei" Shigaraki briefly speaks to hiding behind that computer screen...well, no time for the students of 1-A to rest, that tease at the end!

Well it made sense to end the anime at the USJ arc once it was revealed to be 1 cour. Gave our young heroes in training a brief taste of fighting against villains, as well as us in the audience a better look into some of their powers. I've seen the pacing of this adaptation called into question. We covered 21 of 96 manga chapters and counting. I can definitely understand the complaints, especially from anime-only viewers. There were several recaps, mini-flashbacks and other padding you'd expect from a long runner like One Piece. Personally I wasn't bothered by it much if at all, except that again I wish we had more episodes immediately, but can understand if anyone was. The story revs up even more from here. The next arc by itself is around 20 chapters, and it only gets better from there. I do hope whenever our next cour starts they don't rush things too much.

That aside there are still a few shows left to finish, but I think I can safely say this was my favorite anime of the Spring season, pretty much as I expected going in. Loved the premise, the characters, and the moving relationship between Izuku and All Might which I consider the backbone of the series. Rewatching it earlier this week that ending to episode 2 and a few moments in later episodes still get me misty eyed. This series is a shonen done very well. I'm hesitant to say much else for now though really. It's tough trying to give thoughts when so much more is yet to come. And when it does come, I hope to be back here covering it again! XD 9/10

Aw man, All Might’s not gonna last in his form for long. Though it seems like Shigaraki is out of options too. Midoriya’s going in to help All Might. Damn, he sacrificed his legs. And the pro heroes are here! Though if it weren’t for Midoriya’s distraction, things would’ve been a lot different.

A fitting conclusion to this arc, which itself is a warm up for the upcoming arcs. Thank god there will be a second season :D
Even with the slow pacing, I loved this adaptation. Bones made sure that nothing was left out, and their anime-original moments were great. I loved how Noumu vs. All Might was much, much longer in the anime. And man, the OST was killer in this series. BnHA proves that execution can make any generic or simplistic script look amazing.

I'm assuming the second season will adapt around 40 chapters, adapting the next two arcs. If so, then we'll have a better paced series (since the next two arcs aren't that dialogue heavy).

Second season hype! I did not expect to like this series as much as I did. I want to read the manga but since another season is coming, I shall keep myself in suspense.

Also, what the hell was McCree doing in there? Did he get tired of escorting the payload in Overwatch and decided to drop in on UHA? I mean seriously, all I heard in my head was: "It's HIIIIIIIGH NOON."
Don't believe the hype.

Not bad, should have been a 2-cour though because this was like a long intro, pacing was on the slow side.

At least we'll get a 2nd season

7/10. Manga portrays the scenes a lot better. Show was good overall, but it was nothing amazing. I got more excited reading this arc in the manga than I did watching it. Just a lot of details felt left out in terms of showing the characters—villains especially.

That guy at the end, very teenage mutant ninja turtle-esque in his pose

a very underwhelming ending. i can't believe im saying this, but maybe there should have been a filler episode somewhere getting to know the kids, and the 12th episode gets extended like 5 mins or something. actually maybe that's a bad idea

2nd season? that's some plus ultra shit right there

Great final episode. All Might stalling for time & Deku breaking both his legs to try & help All Might.
So glad all the Pro Heroes showed up in time & cool to see all their quirks. Nice to see Iida with them aswell.

Shigaraki & Kurogiri just managed to escape. The secret was nearly exposed. Good thing Cementos was there.
Cool to hear "Sensei's" voice for the first time. Looks like Aizawa & Thirteen are going to be alright.

Lol Hagakure was with Todoroki the whole time. He could have froze her. Wonder where Aoyama was?
Tsukauchi makes his appearance as well. The police captured Noumu.

Nice shot showing all the students. I cannot wait for the day when they all become Heroes.

That Stain & 2nd season tease at the end. Cannot wait.

Such a fantastic & spectacular series. Gotta give it to Studio Bones for delivering us such a great & faithful adaptation of the manga to anime. One of the best I’ve seen in quite a while.

Loved all the characters, especially All Might, art & animation was amazing as well as a superb OST.
So sad it’s already over, but so freaking happy they announced Season 02. Cannot wait to see the upcoming arcs animated.

Going to continue supporting this series by purchasing the manga because they are so worth it.

Overall I give this season a 9/10 & for the last time this season… PLUS ULTRA!

Deku showed his bravery yet again for the final episode.

A lot of the characters didn't get too much screentime or cool moments of their own, but at least season 2 is coming. I wonder if it's gonna be 1-cour or 2-cour though. S**** was shown at the end, so it could either be increased pace or 2-cour, hopefully the latter so we get all the good details of the Sports Festival arc and S**** arc.

A pretty solid 8 from me and a damn good adaptation it was

Great finale to the first season and end to the arc, Expected nothing less.

Deku jumping into Kurogiri and Shigaraki was awesome.
The pro heroes arrival and saving the day was great, Loved the little showcase of their abilities that they showed.

Aoyama's interruptions were hilarious.
Loved the little montage of all the students in the sunset and the montage of the episodes during the credits :D

Overall, What can I say? Exceptional adaptation of one my favorite manga's. Outstanding soundtrack, Good animation. I had no complaints at all with this adaptation. Easily my favorite for the spring season and possibly my favorite for the year as well.
Easy 10/10 for me.

2nd Season+Sports Festival+Stain HYPE.
I shall pray for the 2 cour.

This was definitely one of my top shows this season, waiting each week for a new episode was always painful, but in the end it was always worth it as each new episode filled me with a rush of excitement as epicness unfolded before my eyes. I'm so happy this got a second season, I knew it would but I'm just glad it's been confirmed so soon. That Stain teaser at the end though......S2 needs to come ASAP! Overall, 7.5/10.

My thoughts about this Anime overall:
Damn it! Why this ended up being a 13 episode! It should be 24 episodes from the start! Well at least they made a great adaptation.
And now I really can't wait to watch the Second Season! And it should be aired in Fall this year!! (Or Riot!!!)
Anyway, since I really enjoyed watching this show, I'll rate this anime a 9 (or 10?) score overall.

A good finale and overall a very good series.

I was skeptic at first because of all the right reasons. It didn't have a premise that was anything new, but yet it understood its limits and managed a good conclusion.
It had a cheesy start but once it got momentum, it refused to give it away and props to Studio Bones for that. I'm definitely hyped for the second season.

An awesome ending after the impresive fight of the last episode.

I must admit that I was hyped since the first time I saw the first trailer of this TV show, but at the end the anime suprised me even more, the animation, soundtrack and all the chars are pretty awesome. Ok, have some cliches, but they know how to make it funny or more smart, I'm in love with this anime really.

Hmm. I have mixed feelings about this. I think for me it was just too shounen with All Might's emotional power-up and the predictable outcomes. Until the end I couldn't really take it too serious. But Nonetheless it was quiet enjoyable and I'm definetly going to watch the next season.

Not sure what you mean by power up. The guy was already freakishly strong in the first place. But if you're inclined to use those words no matter what then sure...

Very nice episode, and I liked the sneak peak of Stain at the end. Looked really cool! I did expect them to include the end of chapter 21 where the next arc is teased, but seeing Stain is also good.

Overall, this adaptation has been good. It was very true to the manga, and you can tell Bones like the series. It had some pacing issues however in the middle of the season. It's bad when I could actually feel the anime padding itself out to fit the time. I'd give this season a solid 7/10.

For anyone wanting to read the manga, start at the last few pages of chapter 21.

Of course he was OP from the beginning but Midoriya said that he got stronger than 100% of his power because he wanted to save his students and that is very shounen like. I don't have a problem with people liking this but for ME it's not fitting. ^^

Actually you didn't understand what happened he only got beyond 100% by sacrificing some of his time as a hero a day right now he can only go 50 minutes a day so he lost 2 hours and 10 minutes by doing that.
