THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Hmm, it's about 30 minutes long including credits..and starts off quite bloody with a crime. Glad to see this is uncensored of course.' The visual details is fine and Arima is portrayed with who he is. I'm glad they maintained a better quality compared to the manga version. There's also a good amount of ghoul action too and on most parts, I liked the OST especially in the second half. Uruka D: Was an interesting OVA episode. |

30 minute long and uncensored. Damn some of the scenes in the beginning were brutal. The OST was great as usual. I didn't notice any drop in art and animation quality which was noticeable in Root A so it was all good. Not to mention seeing Arima in action was quite a sight, especially that badass scene when he threw his quinque towards the end of the OVA. 8/10 There was no way Pierrot could have messed up this OVA lol. Watched the raw, meh animation, getting to see young Yamori was pretty cool, I haven't read Jack so I don't know how faithful it was. 6/10 anyway |

Thanks, but why always spanish first than english. It's kinda strange I think, because I taught most people in the world would understand english more. Damn, my spanish is not yet good enough to understand everything. WHY not portuguese, french, german, english? Now, I'd like to know japanese, since all the languages I can are useless in this situation...Damn it sucks not knowing japanese. |

Watching the OVA, I felt that it was really rushed, I think that they should have made one or two more episodes more, I mean they throw the relationship of Arima and Fura in such a fast way that it made me impossible to view them as "best friends". And I think that it was obvious that that bitch was the pumpkin-headed Ghoul. I liked her psycho voice though. In the positive point of view, I liked Fura and seeing Yamori again was the best of the OVA. Arima is badass, but I think that his character is very... how to say it... limited. We see very bit of him in the main seriesl and I was hoped that in this OVA we will see more of him, at least we know a bit of his backstory. Is a plus that he's voiced by Daisuke Namikawa. I hope that Tsukiyama's OVA will be better. 6/10. |

It's hard to overlook the plot hole in the story about Minami. The other ghouls should not have mistaken her for a human. They have really good noses, plus the hairdresser ghoul even ate her hair. If you eat celery covered in BBQ sauce, you should know that there's celery under there. |

Well, if there's a person who's been bathing in BBQ sauce, I doubt I'll be able to smell him over the sauce unless he's really smelly somehow. I doubt hair can taste so different that you can know where it came from lol. |

I actually didn't see Minami being a Ghoul coming ^^; That surprised me. The way Arima stabbed Yamori from the top floor was epic. I find what Arima said about not talking to Ghouls interesting with what happened in his fight with Kaneki. He did talk a bit. Even more than his fight against Eto. That scene at the end when Fura and Arima passed by eachother was awesome. Good for Fura I guess :P Aki became his waifu. |

Nice OVA! I liked the story, but is Fura still in the main story? I can't remember anyone by that name. If only they gave it a bit more time, the nice thing about TG is that everything is well explained and paced, but rushing really lessens the experience. No censor was nice as well. Looking forward to Pinto, and hopefully Joker later. |

I didn't read the spin-off manga, but I really liked this episode. The soundtrack was really good and the quality of this episode too, imo. Understand 80% of it because I saw it in spanish, but I guess it's really good for someone who has only 2 hour spanish lessons per week since a year... |

And arimas hair color change isn't explained yet,I really feel it has something important behind it,I guess we will have to wait,it will probably be explained in re ZoroZoldyck said: Nice OVA! Not exactly what I was hoping for as far as actual backstory for Arima, but I can forgive it for this being entertaining on the whole. Seeing what Yamori looked like before all that torture was probably the most interesting part of the episode for me. |

I liked it. Pierrot did a pretty good job with this. I wouldn't say the story was generic, but rather straight forward. Animation was spot on, voice acting was really good. And Jason showed up for 3 minutes for the sake of fan service. I'm satisfied. 6/10 |

Omfg Hayami Saori voicing a ghoul gril<3. Good to see Arima using Yukimura quinque. I wonder how badass Sasaki will look with Yukimura. Decent OVA, Arima's badassness and Minami's VA made this enjoyable for me. 6/10. Zer01 said: Nah, it couldn't have been much better paced than this. Hmm.. didn't expect Minami to be Lantern. Her reason for killing her friends was reallly shallow. It was nice seeing a younger Arima before he grew up and became so cold. He was badass even as a student. |
