Do you consider 6/10 to be slightly positive, or slightly negative? Average? Decent? Personally I see it as above average, since average = 5. How do you truly feel about an anime you give 6/10 to? Examples? Was a nice watch with some flaws, but I won't watch it again and I'm glad I finished it. |

| Slightly above average enough for it to be notable by having some unique feature or doing something particularly well, whether by writing or aesthetics. It's just not enough to break the anime out of mediocrity though. Alternatively, it could have been a show done reasonably well, but tripped up at some point and ended up dropping in score from a higher value. Or I dunno, the could just feel like a 6/10. |
| I give something a 6 if it was something I enjoyed but still had some sort of terrible problem which holds it back from being better. Really crap animation, or maybe a really weird or bad ending, story goes off the rails (but is still enjoyable). It might also be something that wasn't bad in any real way but didn't grab me. So, a 6 to me is something that still had a good quality to it but has issues. |

If I'm interested in watching something, I'll give it a shot regardless of reviews and ratings. Especially since my taste differs from most people. | If there's a review, I'll decide whether to watch or not based on the review's content. Ratings isn't everything. I read a lot of negative reviews that I understand, but still make me want to watch the anime. If the way he describes the anime sounds like something I'd like, I'll go for it. |

| Six for me is just OK. I give the rating of 6 when I think the anime isn't bad, isn't good and also isn't average. It's just OK, but I still enjoyed watching it, though got bored a couple of times through it. Six is also the dominant rate in my ratings. And I don't read/watch any reviews so I don't care what ratings they give for the anime. |

| I consider 6 to be "average" and as a result a lot of the anime that I gave a 6 to I really enjoyed. Examples: Moetan, Penguin Musume, Baka and Test, Panty and Stocking, A-Channel, Yuru Yuri, Tamako Market, Wakaba*Girl, and Plastic Memories. All of these had their own problems, but they were still enjoyable. I don't usually read reviews to if I was planning to watch an anime then a 6/10 would not discourage me from watching it. |

To elaborate my thoughts on the actual question. I am willing to watch anything from a 5-10 score anime. I do agree "Fine" Is kind of a vague score but I consider it to be like so; 5 Is average, 4 Is below average meaning bad and 6 Is above average. I'm using the MAL's wording for every other score. This doesn't apply to seasonal anime, as it's just once a week and I don't have to sit through so much of the bad stuff it's offering In one sitting which makes it tolerable. |

As well as how I've noticed our tastes coincide with each other. For example, the reviewer on one site I go to dislikes Mahouka as much as I do, but also dislikes UBW which I enjoyed. | I consider 6 as ''fine'' like it says on MAL. So slightly above ''average'' which is 5. So I see it as slightly positive. If I give something a 6 it was ok for me to watch but nothing special. If someone asks me to recommend something I would not recommend other people to watch series I rated as 6 because there are plenty of series out there that are better. |

| 6/10 to me is trash that I shouldn't bother watching. 7/10 is trash but some can be good (7.5 range) 5/10 is just disgusting and anything below that is just an abomination. |

| I actually just realised that I rarely ever recommend anime that I've rated 6/10 and the frequency that I recommend anime increases with the rating that I give them. This may play a role in determining what a rating means. Obviously, just like how I never rewatch anime regardless of what score I give them, some people will never recommend anime to other people so it doesn't have to be part of the definition. |
