| I was half expecting him to give the prize money to Kumi, not sure if she would have taken it though. really wish they'd say what he's doing with all that money though. notestinet said: it is 2 bad he may not see kumi again he can see her again, all he has to do is go to her brother's gym. I wonder why he doesn't request to have his match pushed to last, if they're all one month apart again he should have plenty of time to recover. and considering how popular he is, I think they'd probably accommodate him under the circumstances. |

| good fight but not as good as i expectied, the fact that it made mashiba look good, like he was fighting for something kinda ruined it for me. They need more emphasis on ippo. But yeah, looking good so far :) |

| Great episode! the title was spot on.. I'm relieved that Ippo won and also garning the MVP but I still felt sorry for Mashida.. Mashida looked like a toasted zombie, whereas Ippo moved like a jet fighter haha.. The drawing was good..even great for that year which it was made.. Considering i watched it in 2011! After the fight it looks like ippo has a lot of fans now :-) and he is following the foot steps of Takamura.. The latter part of the episode is really frustrating me.. I hope there is still a hint of romance between kumi and ippo :-D |

| Amazing fight, so hype from start to end, the animation of the final punch made me shiver, it really showed the intensity of the moment, gratz Ippo, you deserve this title. I love how likeable I find Mashiba despite of his way to be and what he did in the semifinals. |

| He won the Featherweight Rookie Championships and even bagged the MVP Award after doing so! I'm so proud of Ippo, especially because I can see how much he has improved from the beginning. It's also good to see that even someone like Mashiba can recognize the greatness that stood before him and how Ippo's strengthened his passion for the sport more than before. That guy's gonna be in for a world of disappointment once he finds out that his dream opponent would be sitting out of All Japan but boxing's unpredictable~ |

| For a guy as desperate as Mashiba to acknowledge that Ippo was the one with more willpower and how he smiled at the end. Wow, it gave me goosebumps again. In general a very moving episode, also thanks to stuff like Ippo winning the MVP award or Umezawa-kun and co. Well, it wasn't a complete victory for Ippo, tho. And now time for the Tiger. |
