I applaud the guy for continuing his love for her despite her invisibleness. Although if I was one of the villagers, I'd probably be really creeped out during the wedding.

hehe if I was one of the villagers, I would attend the wedding just for the lols.
"...our faces marked by toil, by deceptions, by success, by love; our weary eyes looking still, looking always, looking anxiously for something out of life, that while it is expected is already gone – has passed unseen, in a sigh, in a flash – together with the youth, with the strength, with the romance of illusions.” - Joseph Conrad ('Youth')

Sometimes, a person who acts like the man during this episode is what we see as insane. But, maybe the 'insane' people just see and feel some things in their way that we 'normal' people don't because of us being blinded by the limitations of our naked eyes and senses held back by our logic.

What a fantastic episode.

I was quite worried about Seijiro, but at the end it was a happy ending. He put in the work to get his invisible wife back, and despite the criticism of others he stood strong until finally Fuki returned. Beautiful stuff.

When I think of Mushishi, this is one of the episodes that stand out in my mind. Just the enchanting image of a string coming down from the sky and all the gentle and warm feelings of accepting the ones you love. This is a happy ending without any of the sadness that the other episodes usually have. X)

This shows how hard work pays off. I admire the man's endless will which made his wife get in touch with the ground and into his sight once again. Really would have wanted to see the faces of the ones who attented the wedding when Fuki had appeard again. (Not sure if the two at the end did.. But I'm imagining their faces to be even more shocked)

Took a a while, but finally a PROPER happy ending rather than a bittersweet one, or just plain sad.

I loved the whole episode, but the bit that touched me most was him explaining to Fuki that just because you can't see the stars, it doesn't mean that they aren't there. Followed by him realising the same applies to his current situation with the girl he loves so deeply.

Beatiful episode... that flashback Seijirou had where he explained to Fuki that stars dont go away as she thought, but are always there and she just can't see them was brilliant...

It was great how that led to him realizing that it's the same thing with Fuki. This episode was incredibly touching. I started crying when Seijiro was talking to Ginko about how Fuki disappeared, but Ginko said that she was right there in the room. And it was touching to see Seijiro hold the wedding even though he couldn't see Fuki, and of course, living on and talking with Fuki as if he could see or hear her. What dedication. I'm glad he learned to accept her and it ended happy :)

Finally a happy end. This was a very touching episode. It was sad for the most part, and I was sure it would be a sad or bittersweet ending. But I'm glad that I was wrong.

If I understood correctly, Fuki became a mushi after the guy (forgot is name) refused her state, but he maried and because of that he was able to saw her and evantually, the whole town was able to saw her?

Anyway, it was a nice episode, pretty touching.

"He would talk to his imaginary wife" Dude that's me. That's all me. No one knows she exists but she's there!

Nah but seriously, I'm glad this ended happily. The wedding ceremony was really touching, and I like how they made an allusion between the stars that can't be seen during the day and Fuki disappearing. Liked the focus on the stars/sky this time as well too, there's something romantic about both.

It was nice to see a character, who had no physical evidence for his love to still be there, hope and act like she was. Having faith matters.

Along with the point about the stars still being there during the day, this was a nice message. Probably my favorite one so far.

Another happy episode!

I felt things weren't going to end right when Ginko left them the first time, would've been too easy.

I'm really glad that the two of them were reunited, well I guess she never left.

I feel like the series has more happy (or happy-ish, at least) endings over these last few episodes compared to the earlier ones. But because I know the show can be so tragic, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time concerned Fuki wouldn't come back.

Great episode.
