| That was really good, hopefully it keeps up like this. Only problem with the episode is that the romance developed a bit quickly, but didn't bother me too much. Overall, good start to the season. |

| Good 1st ep, beautiful scenery especially the sunset. Kal's "We still hadn't learned how cruel the world can be" quote makes me worry that there will be some tragedy involved in the future |

| It wasn't until 16 minutes in that I started to enjoy it. But from then on it was great. I like these boy meets girl stories. Love the ED animation style. |

| The romance really felt forced, I'm not sure I'd follow this to the end if it they keep developing it in that way despite my interest on the setting. The characters are all fairly uninteresting, except for the silver haired girl, Nina was it? Then again, this is a show about their coming of age so I guess that's to be expected. Oh god that white haired guy is painful to watch, somebody give him a chill pill. | I like the art of this show, it's really beautiful and I'm the OST as well. I'll admit the first half of the episode was kind of boring, but after wards it was prettying entertaining when Claire came in, although Kal-El is quick in falling in love with someone. Either way, this was a pretty good first episode, I am curious about why Kal-El was pissed off at that dude with the white hair though. |

| Mix of Last exile and Nagi no Asukara for me (Hanae Natsuki and Ishikawa Kaito being rivals again xD). It did not even remind of of Toaru Hikuushi e no Tsuioku... The CG feel weird at certain scenes. I wonder if this is going to be a love polygon... And I really like Yuki Aoi, I hope her character wil limprove at talking. |
| Very nice start. Reminded me of Last Exile right away. I actually don't think the romance was too quick, MC is a typical male teenager. It's a kind of Romeo and Juliet romance. Looking forward to next episode. |

| seriously, who came up with the kal-el and "thank you for holding me so tightly" translations? Crunchytroll? Without looking, I'm like 95% sure it's indeed "Carl", and she said "dakishimetekurete arigatou" which would translate to "thank you for holding me", no tightly involved.+ That being said, I liked this episode. Nice planes (I always loved propeller-driven aircraft), and that big airship looks mighty badass. A bit like the Highwind (FF7), but less sleek and with more oomph. About the romance: It came a bit quickly, but didn't feel forced or anything. Sometimes it does hit yout out of the blue. Alas, to be young again... Verdict: Def a keeper |

| Damn right into the action :D I like the planes' design. A good beginning and this world's lore/religion was interesting. "Nina Viento" Well something tells me he has a grudge against the priestess :P Those deep breaths were great :} When riding in the clouds watch out for lakes :3 A noble love interest, something tells me that could be a problem. One of the best Pilot episodes this season, albeit it felt a tad rushed. |

| Oh my goodness that was sweet. I had to let out a tiny squee during that lake scene. So I'm guessing Carl/Kal-el is a noble judging from his reaction when the guards said the gate is for nobles only. Also that huge bed in the flashback kind of suggested it. He's probably just staying with the Albus family hence the weird little brother-little sister argument between him and Kiri- err Ari. Claire <3 I already like her ^^ OP and ED are nice. Expecting some epic orchestral music from Otani Kou. |

| Okay, I call it now, this is the unpolished pearl aka the underrated series of the season. 12-13 episodes sadden me a lot but I'm looking forward to it. This is the kind of setting that I usually love. Fast romance + Aviation + Last Exile/Fractale. It has indeed good premise. | Thoughts: 6:41 never seen an aircraft that works as both a helicopter & plane 16:21 the super shy girl claire next to the bike is probably stealing it lol 21:15 creepy silver haired stalker 21:29 what moron runs like that lol ------------ Overall: 1. Great OP song, alright ED song 2. Voice acting is always dam good as well as graphics & music 3. Characters are ok for now and story is yet to be seen 4. I agree with the people who said the romance progression is too fast. They don't even know each other well. In a super hypothetical situation, what if you end up finding out that both characters are transgender or gay? Will there still be love? :D 5. The OP really sucked me into this series, so I'm in all the way...unless it starts sucking lol. 7/10 |
| Why Superman's name? other than that this series turns out to be more interesting than the poster suggested. Claire and Sup.. I mean Kal-el has an interesting dynamic and kudos for a straight forward romance right at the start. At least we won't have to see the OTP beating around the bush for once.. I don't see how the romance was forced as some people here said. They are two teenagers attracted to each other from the get go, played together in a lake splashing water (which is usually a "lovers" thing), and the mood was just right when he hold her up (it was sunset god damn it!!!). How can the seed of love not grow right then and there?? It's one of those "love at first sight" thing.. I even thought they were going to kiss but a hug is good enough In any case this is one of the better start this season and I'm surprised it's not discussed as much considering that shitty Nobunaga mecha anime has so many pages discussing the first episode. |

| Cool that romance was in first ep although I think it went a bit too fast. I'm not really a fan of the setting at all, but I'll stick around for claire for now. And Kal-El? Really? There's a few names that are forbidden for re-use even for the japanese. Kal-El is like Darth Vader. You do not reuse it. |

| Kal-El was so lame. Where is my Lex Luthor? Not so good an episode. The spin-off movie was nice. I'm disappointed tbh. Claire doesn't help either. But still good enough. I will continue watching until all characters become unbearable. |
