| Can't speak for all of them, but here are my thoughts: - Sachi (SAO): TRAGIC MY ASS. I saw all all of the harem girls the same way. - Shirley (Code Geass): Definitely. A simple school girl in love with a man, not knowing what she was getting into. - Nagisa (Clannad): Tragic indeed, my friend. Tragic indeed. - Inori (Guilty Crown): Show was too much of a mess for me to care. - Euphemia (Code Geass): I can totally feel the implied...frustration in her after Lelouch did what he did. - Saber: ...sure, I can see that. Never really got to me, though. - Minori (Toradora): What tragedy? Teenage angst, you mean. - Sakura (Fate Zero): ...oh you poor child.. - C.C (Code Geass): ...never really saw it as tragic - Ein (Phantom): ...sure whatever.. - Nia (Gurren Lagann): Bittersweet, that's what it is. |

I think she used to talk with Kirito or something and she was depressed and hopeless I guess (this character honestly wasn't very memorable to me). I really don't think that she deserves to be no.3 or anywhere in the top 10 since she wasn't nearly developed enough due to only being in 1 episode. One of my main criticisms of SAO (or the fanbase) was that fans kept praising the shit out of the first arc for being deep, tragic and heartbreaking since they killed off characters emphasizing the harshness of the world they now lived in. Except the enormous problem with that being those characters who died were "characters of the day" only appearing in 1 episode thus not being fleshed out and connecting the viewers. |

| I haven't seen most of the list but Izumi in #1 is hilarious (you'd think that they would go with the way more popular Mei, and even in that case, it would be absurd). Sekai and Kotonoha, to me, are more models of fucked up/crazy than tragic characters. Mami, a character we didn't even get to know well. The three other Madoka entries in the list hold a way bigger emotional/tragic impact than her. | Putting Sayaka at around the top of the list sounds about right. Really, almost all of the PMMM girls should be on there, except possibly Mami. The rest of the list is a mixed result, it looks like this poll was made in the first half of 2012 so that explains why Another and SAO ended up getting such high spots. |
