Nice bracelet.

I kinda feel sorry for Aiko given the effort she put in to lose weight. I also found the restaurant scene a bit intimidating especially the way Mei is being intimidated. Looks like Mei is dealing with some shit but Yamato steps up.

Is Mei also speaking up for herself? You go girl.

Oh, that guy (CV: KajiKaji) appears this ep.! Though he's a jerk.

That's so cool that she immediately deleted his contact in front of him after he expressed that he wants to do her. Yamato also showed his seriousness. Mei also covered for Aiko, who seems to accept her.

So, that girl who was with KajiKaji's character, but made her boyfriend priority was Komatsu-san?

Ok episode, different from the manga but i suppose they wanted to wrap up Aiko's part quickly, still feel that the only character with any depth is Mei tho.

Yamato threw a nice punch on that guy.

I like this show so far because the male lead actually is a normal person instead of some super human being. He is popular like other shoujo Anime but he is normal at the same time.

Watching him chew and then hit on Mei, I was ready to drop this, but changed my mind when she deleted his contact and told him off. That she embarrassed him in front of Aiko was bonus. Yamato earned a point as well, which he very much needs.

I loved the episode :'D It effected me completely different from that of the manga. Especially that scene where Yamato got angry at Hayakawa for hitting on Mei. And the scene where Mei stands up for Aiko, it's completely different than the manga and it makes Hayakawa look like more of a jerk than he actually is.

I wonder if the Hayakawa 'arc' will be included in the anime. I would love it.

I think that Megumi's arc will probably be there too. We're already on chapter 9 of the manga in the anime.

Sukitte ii ja nai ka?!

Mei understands that kitten well because it behaves just like her. It doesn't like hands coming from above to pet it!

When Mei kissed Kurosawa's hand I was taken out of this world for few seconds! So much love. <3

The wonderful animation quality is back and with it returns yet another wonderful episode. Too bad we probably never going to see a continuation of this anime after this season. T_T

Episode is on par with the previous ones which is fine.

So much highschool drama haha hm... nostalgic really. I like how Yamato isn't so possessive with Mei and wants her to meet new people. I know a bunch of people who've gotten together and then they disappear off the social map until they've broken up. This show and Sakurasou are really vying for best romance of the season but atm I can't choose one over the other.

So except for Mei and Asamicchi all girls in that school are cheating bitches? This show emphatizes casual sex a bit too much, wouldn't really expect that from a shoujo... or maybe>
Anyway, a good episode. I enjoy seeing Yamato and Mei's relationship progressing slowly, it's going on a really fitting pace.

I've found that shoujos are much more realistic about sexual activity amongst high-schoolers than the shounens (no fellows--harem comedies bear no resemblence to real life (unfortunately)). Relevant statistics for our country are that by the time they graduate high school 65 to 70% are sexually active (and for those of you upset about the sleeping around--29% of 15 to 17 year olds reported having multiple partners in the previous year). Since my home country is not Japan I can't vouch for whether these stats translate accurately, but based on my admittedly biased survey of Japanese culture, I'd be surprised if they didn't.

I think I preferred some of the details about Akio's situation that were dropped from the transition to anime from manga, but I guess it just gives me an excuse to reread the manga. I wonder if some of the reason why I can't understand the complaints about shallowness of characters is because I know so much more about them from reading the manga? As always I found this a pretty strong episode and once again Mei showed why she is superior to a lot of main characters (both male and female).

I cheered Mei deleting Hayakawa's number, paying for her food, then leaving. That guy is a douche and I was so happy when Mei stood up for Aiko when he put her down. That douche bag needed more than just a punch.

My respect for Yamato just went up. As I guessed last week, he did sleep with Aiko because she felt sorry for her and wanted to cheer her up. It's still a lame excuse to take someone's virginity but she did ask for it. I would have turned her down while telling her that she is worth it, then again, they were both young and going through issues of their own so I can't fault them too much.

And that other girl who was about to sleep with Hayakawa is a cheating slut. Note: Not meant to demean women with active sex lives, but if you cheat on someone with your F-buddy then you're a slut.

Yeah It's too bad that real life isn't a harem anime. I'd be in heaven right now.

About Japanese culture, I read somewhere that a lot of Japanese guys aren't even interested in sex. They prefer to just hang out with the guys or play games than have sex. Girls are apparently having a harder time looking for guys to date so a growing number have given up and just spend their nights out with each other.

It's yet another reason why the population of Japan is decreasing.

So so episode, just wondering when did their relationship get to that level ...
The guy told Mei he loves her, as he did in the very first episode when they first met ... now their relationship grows stronger, in a shallow way ...

Beside that ... It seems like the guy in this episode knows Yamato for a long time and they're close.Yamato should really pick friends to be with.

At least the make up between Aiko and Mei went well, but cliche ...

Okay, that was a really good episode. Much better than the other two, in my opinion. Mei is a really great heroine. I was cheering so hard when she deleted his number and left. I quite like Aiko now.

Although I'm so sad! ;_; I really wanted them to show that scene when Yamato, Mei, Nakanishi, and Asami went to the beach together. It made me "BWAHAHAHAHA" so hard. Oh well... Maybe they'll show it later?

but get let see grit those teeth punch by yamato cause of insulting mei then give each them own probs like aiko's "dieting" issues wanting yamato give mei feel sorry for her.

yet mei checking on yamato see his hand cause defend for mei.

Yamato gets a lot of much needed points this episode, I have a much better opinion of him after all the clearing up this episode did.

I think the romantic scene at the end was the best so far, a lot of the other one's felt almost too forced to me.

If you really want to fit in, just put Legend of the Galactic Heroes in your top 5 and have it be the only 10-rated anime in your list.

The episode's good although lacking. Yamato and Mei's relationship is too fast paced - maybe because its anime? I haven't read the manga so I wouldn't be able to compare.

Just how fat was Aiko before she lost weight ? She doesn't really look fat in the flashbacks, her legs were normally thin.

In the manga, she was actually pretty chubby before she lost weight. They toned down how big she was before she lost weight a lot in the anime.

I agree but there not only more realistic about sexual activity but the characters are also more realistic especially the girls.
In shounen the girls are often portrayed as cute kind and they would not hurt a fly or there the typical tsundere character they also hang around the main character or his group most of the time and have little to none interaction with other girls around them.
Which simply as far from reality as it possible could be.

About the episode.
Hayakawa is a pretty unreliable guy that's the first thing i could tell from his behaviour he also seems to have little pride sleeping with everyone that comes along.
Not to mention that he seems to be jealous of Yamoto to the point where he even tried to make a move on Mei who rejected him right away.
At which point his lack of pride immediately showed as he started to talk badly about her right after he also did the same to Aiko when she pointed out some of his weak points.
And as Mei pointed out his lack of table manners was awful he was eating with his mouth open he was smacking and he made a mess around his plate.

Mei deserves a medal for immediately rejecting him and she did so pretty harshly as well especially when she came up for Aiko.

I like Mei and I like her growth as a character. She stands up for people, even when it doesn't benefit her. I admire that.

But the show is still lacking. I wonder how many times we'll see Mei leave somewhere early and Yamato running out to find her. It happens in every episode so far.

I really like the direction in this anime. Putting the plot aside, I think all episodes were really pleasant to watch. This anime has really good visual and a fitting soundtrack.

With that being said, I think it was a good episode. I really liked Mei and Yamato in this episode, you can see how both of them changed thanks to their relationship. Good to see some teenagers acting like the teenagers I used to know.

So far, a fine shoujo.
